Horrible!!! Toilet inoperable first room 106 and moved to second room 124 where my husband fixed the toilet. No phone service in either room, curtains torn and filthy, ceiling in bath needs repair, tv remote inoperable, guest above stomped across floor and knocked things over during AM. Could not report as phones not working. I am a Diamond member and have enjoyed other LaQuinta's in the past. Please save your money and go somewhere else.

I stayed at this location with my daughter from 07/16 - 07-19. The staff was overall pleasant, however there were several issues that came up and were not addressed. First there was a family taking up several rooms in the same hall we were in and they were causing large disturbances to myself and other guest. Even after the desk was contacted multiple times nothing was done. The bathroom in the first room had severe damage to the bottom. The window in the room I was in the last night had been previously broken and instead of replacing in they put the pieces back together with black tape. The ceiling lights in the sitting area were not working. Finally the most glaring issues. I am a first responder and former fire fighter. I was unable to find a fire extinguisher on an floor. The cabinets were empty. I contacted the fire marshal for the City of Pasadena and have now been advised by them several fire safety violations have been found. I used several thousand of my reward points for this stay and have contacted Wyndham Customer Service about this and still have been given no answers or resolution.

Even then, you can still hear the highway traffic...18 wheelers, diesel trucks, and muscle cars. It never ends. 24/7. I did not sleep the entire time there except for a few hrs. The next issue was the lack of hot water for a day and a half due to a cold spell and frozen pipes per the front desk. The bed is very comfortable and the noise level is low so we slept great. The breakfast is good with many choices and a sweet hostess, Sylvia, who makes you feel at home. As we went to get ice we were met with a sign that said 'Out of Order'. So we had to go to floor 2 or 1 to get ice. After staying there 7 nights no effort to fix the ice machine on floor 3 was ever made. We were interested in going to the hot tub but the sign at the front desk advised us the hot tub is not open. We were interested in the pool but the card reader was out of order so you would have to walk all the way around to get back in the hotel. The laundry facility on floor 2 was very helpful. Then I get a call from the front desk that they were advised by the cleaning staff that I had a candle in my room and that I needed to extinguish it immediately so as not to set off the sprinkler system. Ok, really? This is an older hotel with a cracked sink in the bathroom, a shower curtain that barely fits inside the tub, a musty smell in the room and I'm told I can't have a candle? The staff was good at helping us with administrative issues and we really appreciated their help but the rest of the issues are not acceptable.

Check in experience was great, very friendly and pleasant gentleman. The rest was down hill. While rooms are extremely spacious and at first glance appear to be clean, that was not the case. Upon taking our showers, shampoo and conditioner was out, found nice stiff dirty wash cloth hanging over shower curtain and another extremely stained towel folded up with clean towels. I walked down to front desk as it was late, and I asked for some new bottles of shampoo and conditioner. The woman working this overnight shift asked me if I could bring down the bottles and she would fill them up. I explained they are locked in the device on the wall, but she said well the housekeeping just refills them. I said okay and my husband used two luggage keys to open the holder up. I then went back down to lobby again and Got my refills. When time came to pump my conditioner I got a nice mixture of water and conditioner. We had to relocate to another room at 1am our first night due to roaches. We should have checked out but at 1am, and a wedding to attend the next day, that was not an option. Once the roaches scurried in the dark, I took a better look at the room and found toenail clippings, food, more bugs, and just random ick. There was mold on top of shower and something nasty splattered on the AC. I went down to the lobby for the third time now and explained the situation. I was met with "I can change your room if you want". That's it. No apology, empathy, remorse, it was basically like she was numb to the situation. I got the new room, checked top to bottom, ever crack and crevice. I then went back to our room, helped my husband pack mine, his and our 8 years olds clothes up to move from floor 2 to 3. Once we were done I took keys back down to lobby and the woman did say "I hope you have a better night." Breakfast was basically survival of the fittest. We and many other guests for that matter, had to ask each day for food to be replenished. Saturday and Sunday the pancake machine was closed. I asked if they were restocking the mix and they flat out said they keep it off on weekends due to it being so busy and it "malfunctions". I explained it worked fine Friday, but it was clear the 3 ladies behind the desk really didn't have the energy or work ethic to do their jobs. Bagels were typically frozen, cereal was empty twice, eggs were basically water and you were lucky to get both biscuits and gravy at the same time. Coffee was removed from breakfast area well before 930 and two mornings ran out and never refilled before just taking the pots away. This was a very disappointing stay. We've stayed at many brands and properties and tend to appreciate the quality for the cost at this chain. However this particular property needs major help. They should start with their staff because they really appear to take zero pride in their roles, with exception of the one person we first interacted with. The breakfast needs help. And clearly they need to do some room inspections behind the housekeeping team. As for the insect problem, I'd imagine if one room has them, the whole building is likely infested.

Only thing anyone could tell us was that it'll drop off in 3-5 business days. Where is the customer service anymore? Where is the integrity of making things right?

If they are going to have an outlet to plug in maybe provide more than 1 as the entire week I was there it was a battle with the others to get the spot or hope that a non ev wouldn't take the spot. Then there's the social nights mon-wed that is advertised till 7 but if you don't show up right at 5:30 and you decide to get there at 6-6:30 then you are left with scraps. I wouldn't advertise till 7 and just say starting at 5:30 till it's gone. That way people won't get upset great staff poorly and get snippy with those that were brought up in the wild. I'm not making this up 2 nights I witnessed people be rude to staff for not making enough and someone take multiple plates for later and one for now and guests getting smart with each other. I will say staff was great and always happy. At least the few I dealt with. Now the best part is they have designated dog areas to walk but don't offer bags so either the guests are slobs and leave the pets waste or it's because the bags aren't available either way they should have someone picking things up if guests aren't. This leads me to the lack of yard maintenance the grass was never cut leading to the search for the yard bombs. I stepped in twice unfortunately and then twisted my ankle due to a hidden hole from overgrown grass. Overall it was a 3.8 for me

Ugh. Where do I begin?…read more Right off the bat I see the reviews for this place and think to myself "what did my wife do?" But she reserved a room here so I'll reserve judgement until we get to the room and experience SOMETHING. You walk in and someone walking out says "oh don't bother with the key card on the door, it's just open". Well that's red flag #1. Walking through the halls it's overly warm and humid. Clearly no AC in the place and there's a smell. Red flag #2. We get to the room and it's nice and cool from the AC, so inside the rooms the AC works, so that's a plus. But hey - wrong room! We reserved a double Queen, not a King and pull-out sofa. We call the front desk and apparently this is the only room they have and Expedia messed up because they don't have double Queens here. Huh. Red flag #3. I'm getting comfortable in the room and suddenly my 4-year old screams "AH, A BUG!". Okay. This is getting to be too much. I go over and sure enough, yeah it's a cockroach. Not huge, one of the thinner ones, but crawling all over the night stand next to the bed. Red flag #4. Then my kids all realize there's a pool. I look out the window and it's still light enough outside to see ALL THE ALGAE completely covering the pool. How exceptionally disappointing after hyping up swimming pool time with my kids. No way I'm touching that thing. Red flag #5. After getting rid of the roach I decide to tear apart the room while my wife sees if we can get a refund and look for another hotel. Unfortunately because it's through Expedia they aren't allowed to refund without manager approval and that comes in the morning. We can't afford another hotel room outright and Expedia is only offering a partial. Great. I guess we're here for the night. Luckily I didn't find anything else, but hey the fold out bed from the sofa is completely encased in plastic with no sheets or anything. Gotta make a trip downstairs. Out in the hall again I realize just how warm the rest of the hotel is. I decide to get a closer look at the pool. Maybe I was too quick to judge. I get outside and by this time the sun has gone down. I didn't realize until later that THERE'S NO LIGHTS ON ANYWHERE. It's dark and not a sign, not a light, just nothing. But in the moonlight I can see floating bandaids in the hot tub shaped like Texas and the algae from the swimming pool is caked. Good lord. I get to the front desk, ask for bedding, she goes to get some down the hall and I follow so she doesn't have to drag everything to me. I get to the door she left wide open and it's a mess back there. Whatever, I'm sure most places try to hide the mess, but clearly she didn't care much. Then she tells me she accidentally locked the door to where the comforters are and she doesn't have a key, so she gives me two mattress covers. This is frustrating but not a deal killer. So whatever. Get back to the room. Set up the bed, sleep. Nothing eventful happened. Morning time! We all get up and dressed and go down for....wait where's breakfast? It's a good two hours before it ends and the place looks cleaned out. No eggs, no bacon/sausage, no potatoes, not even a container for the waffle mix. I start heading up front to say something but someone else comes back and says they already mentioned it. Then someone comes and starts bringing stuff out. Like, really? Red flag #6. After a VERY LONG wait with hungry children we finally get food. I walk back over to the food and notice another roach on the floor, this time stepped on and squished. Gross. And by the food. My appetite is disappearing. Red flag #7. We finally get food for everyone and my kids eat slow. Also with three that are spread out in age their appetites are bigger than mine, so it's one thing after another. Suddenly the crew arrives to break things down. Oh, it's time for breakfast to be over? Nobody said anything, they just started taking things away. No heads up, no last calls, just see ya! Meanwhile my kids are still eating. Sorry dude, orange juice just got taken away. Oh and there goes the bread for toast. I lost count of the BS from this place. Never again. You couldn't pay me to come back.

I called the office and then apologized but then said they didn't have any other rooms. When I asked about a refund to get another hotel for the night, they said they couldn't do that because the manager wouldn't be in until morning so I'd have to talk to them then. We then went through Expedia to try to get a refund and they told them the same thing. As I was on hold, we saw a cockroach that my husband promptly killed on the alarm clock. We had no option but to stay. The only saving grace is that there were not bed bugs. When my husband went to get bedding for the pullout couch, they said they accidentally locked the cabinet with bedding and gave him a random assortment of sheets. The pool was filthy so my kids were disappointed that I told them we wouldn't be swimming this trip. The entire hotel was in disrepair. The hotel was missing tiles and the lights on the buttons didn't even work. The whole hotel smelled like mildew and there were fire ants all around the back of the building. When we got to breakfast hours before it was over, everything was empty and they took a long time to refill it. The sausage was undercooked and the whole stay was subpar. I want my money back. I will never be staying here again.
