When a bunch of people are checking in and one person is working the desk and you just want to pay for a few snacks. The 30 min wait is awful.

Some rooms are old to where there are cracks within the room. Ripped bedding, peeling toilet seat, bathroom doors not fully functional, and more. Luckily, we hadn't experienced any pest infections like other reviewers. We also used to encounter friendly staff members at the counter. But lately, their customer service has declined as well. Plenty of parking provided with what seemed like two security cars on standby in the lot but I've never seen any security present. They do block the Harwin entrance at night. So you'll have to go around to the other side to enter. Located next to a Popeyes and Starbucks across the street. Next to Beltway 8 and Sam Houston Tollway.

They even opened up their breakfast early for us to accommodate the crazy early competition schedule. The rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. A mishap occurred during our stay where there was water pipe leak. The team did their best to work around the situation. It was not the hotel's fault and I felt sorry the staff had to deal with so much disgruntled guests who were not as understanding of the situation. I commend them for quickly turning the situation around to trying to make our stay pleasant. I could visibly see that they were all exhausted but did their best to resolve the situation. They even comped us for the inconvenience afterwards and was contacted directly by their Director of Sales. That's great business ethics and what more can we ask for. We highly recommend The Home2 Suites By Hilton - Houston Energy Corridor, TX. We've stayed in other hotels in Houston in the past during our robotics competitions, and this hotel is the most accommodating, with friendly staff and comfortable, affordable, and spacious rooms. I am a Diamond with Hilton, and had I known that their parking lot was equipped with these privately held FLOCK systems, I would NOT have stayed. One has to question the reason for FLOCK - is it a bad neighborhood they need to deter and record? (then I would not want my family there) - is it to store our car information, time in and out, and then sell it to others? ( then I would not want to be a part of that) - How long do they keep the videos? Is the videos kept by FLOCK (to combine with the other FLOCK cameras to know where I travel and when, to sell to anyone? Why does a small hotel need to have FLOCK? I am uncomfortable with the security, who has access, how long they keep video and information? Is it held indefinitely by FLOCK? Who does the hotel give that information access to? No, FLOCK is not a deterrent when someone can walk in from another parking lot or use a stolen license plate - There is no opt out for the hotel, no access or reporting by the hotel, and there is no way to know how long they keep our information on file, and who they sell it to. Since there are countless cases of misuse of infromation by others accessing FLOCK - and bad actors hacking into systems, this is another layer of having our information stolen, sold, used, and abused - and will always leave a 1 star for any private owners - Hotel was within standards and we seek out Hilton - but not with FLOCK systems.

Our room was clean and comfortable, we did ask for additional bedding for the trundle bed and got a ripped blanket. The front desk also seemed irritated we were asking. It was very convenient to have the outlet mall and Buc-ee's within walking distance. The included breakfast was nice. We would stay here again if we were in the area.

This location is close to, but not walking distance to the galleria. There was plenty of parking at the hotel's dedicated parking deck, and I noted they had adequate workout and pool facilities. Our room was clean with new furnishings in including a firm king sized bed, wall mounted tv and small refrigerator and a Keurig coffee maker stocked with pods for our morning coffee fix. Note: After my stay I noticed a $20 charge per day by Hilton Garden Inn for parking, this was not disclosed when I checked inn. This was not a big issue as I was only briefly in town, but everyone should be aware of this fee.

I really do try hard to be friendly and always smile, I know it is a crap job but you are in a hospitality business. You have to be better, I am sorry your day is going bad but I didn't cause it. Two exceptions to this. We had been out and called to see about breakfast times on Sunday, he interrupted me while asking and just gave the hours twice cutting me off even trying to say thanks. Guy was awful. We were only there one night thankfully. The bed was fine, the breakfast was better then I expected and the staff there was fast, they had good eggs, sausage, bacon, lots of bread options from bagels to toast as well as lots of juice options. The staff here was better, to be fair. The gym was standard according to my wife, the shower was weak but very hot. Overall this was not a great hotel, the good was overshadowed by poor customer service.
