It's a sight to see, and they are selling items they just brought from the boats. Next door is a restaurant where you can have the most amazing and fresh seafood dishes. What I been looking forward to is a cuoppo. This is the italian word for cone. You get a paper cone filled with fried seafood. I had a mixed cone, so you get some of everything. There was shrimp, calamari, octopus, anchovies, salmon, swordfish, and little dough balls that had sea weed in them! This was my favorite stop on my food tour that day and I already can't wait to go back!

They literally sell fresh seafood in front and cooks them fresh to order. Everything we ordered were fresh and delicious. The calamari was well seasoned and portions are generous for €12. The fried anchovies was so delightful and full or umami flavor. Lastly the spaghetti with half lobster for only €20 was a steal!! It was perfectly cooked with good amounts of really lobster meat. And the entire dinner meal only costs me €49. I could have paid at least $150 for this is the US. Highly recommend this whenever your visit Napoli!!

We wanted seafood because when in Sorrento...why not opt for super fresh seafood right by the coast?! Our server recommended a really delicious local red that was super reasonably priced and we enjoyed with said red: For Primi -- *Gnocchi alla sorrentina (Sorrento-style Gnocchi): I mean...we kinda had to get a regional specialty right? Gnocchi here is potato based instead. It was SO delicious - still perfect texture. They also served this HOT HOT HOT with melty cheese. So delicious and a really generous portion!! *Spaghettoni alle vongole (Pasta with Clams): Another favorite for us in general so figured a really fresh version could be stellar and it didn't disappoint! This slightly edged out the gnocchi for me flavor-wise, but the gnocchi was dang good so it just goes to show how DELISH this was!!! For Secondi -- *Grigliata mista di pesce (mixed grilled fish - this was an incredible plate of such fresh seafood. There was various fish, a giant prawn, octopus alll grilled & seasoned to perfection! *Swordfish special! -- apparently it was swordfish season and it was a 'fresh catch' and I feel like you could tell! Really lovely and nicely seasoned. Portions were very generous & we were way too full for dessert at this point! So you could probably eat more "American" style here (Just 1 entree instead of our approach), but the menu here is pretty stellar!!!

I had been bit by a crab a number of times at Amalfi earlier in the day. I decided to return the favor and had the excellent crab with squid ink pasta. I will say that the crab was a lot of work, it was also a delicious crab. The squid ink pasta itself was perfectly al dente. Added a second course of a local fish with cherry tomatoes, also delicious. Family enjoyed their dinner as well.

The locals told us that the place we were looking for had closed and to try Cuptie. Reluctantly, we took their advice. I am overjoyed that we did. With skepticism, we ordered just two small plates. After our first bite, we were hooked. We ended up getting two more plates! As self-proclaimed food enthusiasts, my husband and I rarely eat twice at the same restaurant when we travel. That way, we can try as much unique food as possible. This is the only place that we returned to during our trip to Italy, here in Sorrento. The food and service was fantastic. I highly recommend the mix seafood salad. The octopus and cuttlefishfish were absolutely superb esspecially considering the price!

So we tried this place and were totally and positively impressed. We had the italian cuoppo fritto (a typical Neapolitan street food made out of several fried savory treats), a Margherita pizza and a Mussels soup. It was all great, fresh, well cooked and delicious. The service was fantastic. We will definitely be back.
