The pizza is solid fresh thin crust - maybe a bit skimpy on toppings & too heavy on the cheese the vegetariano salad we had was challenging. I'm way into making them myself, so I'd recommend chopping the spinach fine, sauté a vegetable or 2 (onion- tomato?) and adding a fat like crumbly cheese, or avocado, or some nuts, etc to make it melt & come together better. The vinaigrette dressing was nice though. And for a place this stylish, it'd be nicer & classier to have a metal fork & real glass for drinks instead of plastic. Lots of potential! Open kitchen is a nice touch.

I came in with my dining adventure partner and she had the Sparkling water with Lime, I had Coke Zero who in the island mostly comes those tall 12oz Red Bull like cans. They had a good selection of appetizers but we skipped it as my Girlfriend isn't an huge fan of loads of cheese. I know the blasphemy right? But they had some vegetarian choices for those that by some reason though that a vacation in the pork kabob and friend meat turnover capital of the world was a good idea. ‍ We had the chorizo pizza that was the daily special with the Herb Crust. That was the MVP clutch play of the game. The crust is light and perfectly seasoned. The sauce is light, with the right amount of acidity and sweetness. There was just enough cheese to be nice. The mozz was fresh and moist not the toasty bag stuff. It was layered with chorizo but somehow it didn't turn the pizza into an Oily mess that we might "liberate" for oil. ( Relax I'm a Marine take a joke ). The staff spoke great English which is good as the place was chuck full of tourists and the wait staff was polite and happy. I mean we all been to places where the wait staff look like they had their soul sucked out by kitchen warlocks. I will def comeback. Next time get my own pizza and not share.

The restaurant is spacious, family-friendly, clean, and the staff is incredibly friendly and quick. They're open Thursday-Sunday from 4:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Now let's get down to the food! We started with the meatballs, and OMG--they were huge and absolutely delicious! Then came the wings, and if you know my daughter, you know she's a picky eater... but she had no problem going to town on those wings! For pizza, we ordered two: Sausage & peppers Half pepperoni and half chicken When I tell you there were 10 of us, and everyone left full and happy, I mean it! We also ordered a salad, and everything we had was fresh and full of flavor. Of course, we couldn't skip the drinks! Our waiter recommended the Dress Italiana, which was such a refreshing way to start the meal. We also tried a Rum Punch, Piña Colada, and a Moscow Mule, and they were all great. I have to say, it's really hard to find a truly great pizza place these days, so when I find one, I'm going to give them their flowers. This place definitely earned them. The restaurant started filling up fast around 6:30 PM, and it's easy to see why. Whenever I'm back in Puerto Rico and craving pizza, Rustica will be my go-to. Highly recommend!

The food and drinks were disappointing, so I wouldn't recommend it unless you're nearby and just really need something to eat, though maybe pick something other than the pizza. Food & Drinks: We ordered a frozen piña colada, garlic knots, and a medium pizza (San Gennaro). Here's my review of each: Pina colada - Would not recommend. Unfortunately it was not very well blended (lots of thicker chunks of ice like a shaved ice) and had very little flavor (literally just a kiss of pineapple and coconut flavor). It was like drinking a La Croix, which I do enjoy, but not what I wanted. Garlic knots - These were just okay. The outside was pretty hard and it was missing a little salt to really bring out the flavor. San Gennaro pizza - This was such a letdown, and I'm not usually disappointed by pizza (I love anything from legit Italian pizza to Costco pizza). First, this wasn't really NY style pizza which they advertised - if that's what you're expecting, go elsewhere. That wasn't the real issue though. It overall lacked flavor and wasn't well executed. The crust did not have much flavor and was pretty hard. The veggies on the pizza were anywhere from cold to lukewarm and didn't seem fresh. Lastly, we had ordered the pizza with pepperoni added, but seems they just didn't write it down in our order. At that point we weren't going to wait another hour for pizza, so we just took what we got without complaint. Size wise, the medium pizza came with 6 slices and was enough for 2 people. Service: Service was really slow, however we were warned before we sat down that orders would take about 45 minutes to come out, which we were fine with. Drinks came out in 10 minutes, garlic knots in 25 minutes, and a medium Pizza in 1 hour. There was also a misunderstanding about who was supposed to take our order, so it took a while to get our order in. We sat around for 20 minutes before deciding to just go up to a server and ask them if they could take our order. They did apologize for the mix-up once they realized what happened. Ambiance: Very laid-back ambiance with loud music and some patio seating. Cats (that I think they own) were also roaming around.
