Adorable little Mexican place in Cáguas. The decor is the thing to come for! There are flowers growing from the ceiling, air-brushed paintings of famous Mexicans, and a huge mural of a very masc-appearing Frida Kahlo. Food was decent, if underwhelming, but it hit the spot. Delightfully, the super-helpful staff went through the entire menu with me to try to find a low-sodium option for my Other Half.

Atmosphere was great. Service was great. So wanted food to be good but it just wasn't. Rice and tacos were wayyyyyy to salty. Could not even eat it. And I love salt. The enchiladas had very little /no sauce. But we're kinda good. Sorry guys

This place is fantastic. One of the best quality/ delicious/ cheap restaurants throughout Puerto Rico. Everything on the menu is delicious. The drinks are cheap and also superb. I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant. Highly recommend stopping here if you're in the area. Street parking with meters is the closest parking.

We had just landed in San Juan and headed to Cuagos, we loved this adorable little spot and the service was excellent. Margaritas and pina coladas were great and the indoor decor was really fun and colorful! The salsa was super spicy and the burrito was the best part! Highly recommend if coming through Caguas!

The decoration of the restaurant is so nice!

The food is good, they have sepation between tables. The drinks are excellent as the food. The environment is casual and the servers are friendly. They request vaccination. They have an outdoor area in the top that open in the afternoon. They do not requiere reservation. The place is centrally located in Caguas.

Stumbled upon this through a yelp search on our way back from San Juan to Cayey. The food was very good, the service was also good - the atmosphere is what made it. Really cool art work and vibe. Music was a bit loud but otherwise, everything was perfect.

Good food, service and nice ambience. The major challenge is the parking on busy dates.

None of the drinks smelled too strong of alcohol but we definitely felt them after a few sips which helped the ambiance. There was live music and also background music for when the singer needed breaks. While we were there it appears they were filming advertisement around the restaurant with who we assumed was La Flaka. So we tried to stay out of the cameras was as much as possible. We ordered two appetizers and 1 entre to share. The tostones de chicharrón were absolutely perfect- crispy savory and balanced. The arancini relleno lacked moisture and sauce. The entre of the braised short ribs was a surprise. It was MASSIVE it came with a small dice of mash potatoes and also fried potato cubes which to us was a weird consent and could have been balanced with something else. They braised short rice had a lot of fat that still needed to be rendered. Service was attentive. They made sure we had refreshments throughout the night since the food took longer than expected as the restaurant was packed .

Holy moly, Batman....fan-freaking-tastic! One of the best experiences -- and products -- in my…read more(several) trips to Puerto Rico. The Sangria Factory is where Los Hermosos Sangria is mixed and bottled. You probably haven't heard of it if you're not from/in Puerto Rico, as it is currently not available on the mainland. (That will be changing....the permitting process is in progress in California for US-wide distribution.) It is in Caguas, south of San Juan and a little off the beaten path. The location itself is near the mall and department stores, but is located on one of the innumerable one-way streets. There is ample parking nearby (paid, but not expensive) at Gatsby department store less than 1 block away. if you are not a local, you may be worried that you cannot find the location. Street addresses are not clearly marked...but if you see a door painted entirely with a Puerto Rican flag (light blue....not dark blue), that's the right place. Knock on the flag, and you will be welcomed into the tasting room. The tasting room is intimate, but not cramped. The day my husband and i went, we were greeted by the owner/founder himself, who apparently works "hands on." There was a short video about the sangria company, and then you get 4 FULL glasses of their locally made sangria. (Not little one-ounce shots....these are wine glasses full to the brim with sangria and ice.) DO NOT ATTEMPT THE TASTING ON AN EMPTY STOMACH or you will have to have someone pour you out of the door. The day we were there, there were four tastings: passion fruit, guava, tamarind, and cranberry. My husband hates passion fruit with a passion (pun intended), but loved the passion fruit sangria. They have additional flavors (grape and "fruitas," for example), and the owner was happy to give small tastes of those as well. In addition to the sangrias, there was locally produced farmer's cheese with an assortment of crackers and bread. This helps offset the alcohol in the sangrias (which run from between 7.5% and 9%, roughly) a little and could almost be a light lunch. After the glasses -- I hesitate to call them "tastes" since they are so large -- of sangria, they were followed by a toast of flavored rum with the owner, who also pointed out some of the local museums. On the mainland, the owner/creator would not usually be the one to greet people into his tasting room, much less serve the drinks, talk about the history, and answer questions. While he apologized repeatedly for his "poor English," he spoke clearly, and we had no trouble understanding him. Brave the drive south from San Juan. Go to this place. Have some of the best sangrias in the Western Hemisphere. Buy lots of bottles....and then hope that you see it soon closer to home.
