We were so glad after getting some of their wonderful pepperoni and other fine meats . This is a great little mom and paw type of store. We actually met the grandson. Who was there late on a Saturday and let us in to get our selections. When you go to the farmers market in Yakima, it really is traveling to the epicenter of the farm…read moreportion of farm-to-table. While it's not a giant market, it encompasses about two city blocks and has Thirty or so vendors. The majority of the vendors are from farms either in Yakima or some of the neighboring communities. When we first attended a few weeks ago, there was an incredible amount of produce available. It ranges from veggies, to berries, to just about any type of fruit you could imagine. The best part however was the fact that there's really not a lot of price difference between here and the stores around. And most farmers markets that we have frequented, there's a significant markup - fortunately that really was not the case here. Aside from the produce, there were a good number of ancillary booths including those specializing in wood carving, a couple cheese makers (YES!), a sausage booth, a few jewelry spots and a number of local organizations advertising to the community- we talked with the master gardeners and they're a fun bunch! The food available here was pretty legit too. A Filipino booth boasts some incredible pork and beef skewers, there's tons of good Mexican food options and a number of other booths rotate through. We're excited to keep seeing what rotates through. In addition to this being a great market, there is incredible potential given the surrounding area. I wouldn't surprise me to see the number of food trucks continue to increase and the non-produce options continue to expand. A+!

All the meats and bones typical to a Mexican dinner table at good prices. The bakery (panaderias) here has all the classics like concha, empanadas, piggies, bolillos, etc. The hot food section has a variety of tasty looking meats stewing away, such as barbacoa, carnitas, chicken, nopales. They also serve hot tamales, sopes, enchiladas, burritos, Chile relleni, taquitos, soups, shrimp cebicbe, salsas, champurrado and more! Their plate and family meals are a crazy good deal. Admittedly, the hit food left something to be desired but for the price and service, can't really complain. (The tamale I got was a bit dry and needed a but more flavor, but it was toward evening and each tamale was hefty for $2 a piece. Rice and beans hit the spot.) The lady serving our food was very nice too. Sad that this place selling legit pumpkin empanadas is so far away from home but I'd happily go back here for more empanadas and grocery shopping again.

Manuel later stated that the employee no longer worked there and they don't recall where it went after putting it behind the register? I asked if they can check the camera's and they stated you would not be able to tell from the footage? He kept switching up the story, this just goes to show the type of employees they have along with the management.
