Excellent food and nice service. Prices are about what you would expect. The sangria and concha (fried corn) is worth the visit alone. I usually get the yellow rice with seafood dish for 2 and we share it. The tacu tacu steak is also excellent. Definitely worth a visit when in the mood for a nice steak or some excellent seafood - or when you feel like celebrating the weekend with some nice sangria and appetizers. read more

Only reason I would not give it four stars is because I am big on ambience, and that is the only thing this place seems to lack. The decor and location is just average. The food is worth returning for though! I am not sure what it is called, but that green sauce that Peruvian restaurants normally have out on the table or served with their dishes, well, the one from here is better than any other one I have tried in Miami! SO gooood! I shared the Spicy Mixed Ceviche and Lomo Saltado with my gf, and ther were perfect. Since I live pretty close by, I sense I will be returning very soon. :) read more

Why put 1 star. & They're still investigating, they still don't have proof that it was the manager who put the camera there. People just like to assume and judge right away. This company has been opened for more than 10 years. Ask any loyal customer, how yummy their food is, & everyone makes you feel like you're at home . the owner lady is the sweetest person & its such a nice family restaurant, every time I go in I feel like I am eating with my family. That's just that restaurant vibe. Its really not fair how she is getting jeopardized for this. She is a 50-year-old mom that's put in so much work into her business and and renovating and always coming up with new things. Whoever put that camera in there is a really bad person. But her business, her food & attitude should not be jeopardized. Im 100% sure she did not put that camera there. It makes no sense. I just find it really unfair how people are saying they will never go again because of this accident, this has nothing to do with the food. Their food & service is amazing. People are blaming her & everyone there. Anyways , people go to restaurant to eat the food not use the damn bathroom. It's ridiculous. People are so ignorant. You have to go poo, go to your house. Was here for the 4th of July and was rather impressed. $17 for a giant jalea, good and fresh ceviches. Not the best I have had in Miami, but it held it's own. Their green aji is delicious and just perfect to have with the french bread they bring out. I wish they carried Cusqueña instead of Cristal though. Best part of the meal were the picarones. AMAZING!!! OMG!!! I did not even know this place existed until a few weeks ago, but what a great find! My wife and I shared a plate (recommended by our server) called Tacu Tacu Con Lomo Saltado ($17). It's a gigantic portion of a rice/white bean/egg casserole drenched with the juices that simmer off of the steak strips and grilled onions that are served atop! Absolutely incredible food here. I went we my aunt here for Mother's Day and we were blown away. We ordered ceviche that was simply delectable! I ordered a seafood soup called Aguadito and it was literally the best soup I've ever tasted! If I'm in the area again I will certainly return. What had up until yesterday been my favorite Peruvian restaurant, is now off the list forever. We ordered our usual, a family jalea, shrimp and fish ceviche, and limo salteado for the kids. I'm not sure if it was the jalea or the ceviche, but something was bad. I was sick all night! Here we are 24-hours later and in still not right. The people here are really nice. The food is pretty good but it is really expensive. If all their dishes were $2-$3 cheaper, I'd bump this place up to 4 stars. I like that they put crab (1piece) and large shrimp in their arroz con mariscos.. but it's just not that great when you have to pay close to $20 for it. Love love love this place. We are regulars here & I've yet to try anything I don't like. My absolute favorite thing on the menu is the Arroz Chaufa de carne & the picarones, even though they're only available Saturday & Sunday. I LOVE Peruvian food. My best friends Peruvian so I've learned how to eat all the stuff they cook and La Perla is one of my top choices for Peruvian food. It's right around the corner from my house but even if it wasn't id still be a regular here. It's usually packed on weekends and the service has always been great but maybe because were regulars. The ceviches are my favorite, but if I want more of a less acidic meal I go with the aji de gallina, the pescado a lo macho and el lomo saltado. For appetizers I usually get choros a la chalaca which are mussels with a citrus salsa on too of anticuchos which are beef heart kabobs lol. Their papa a la huancaina always tastes very homemade and their dessert the bavarois is something I always have to save room for. It might be a little pricier than most Peruvian restaurants but it's worth it. read more

First time here and only came for the ceviche which did not disappoint. We had the Ceviche Mixed Especial and it was "especially" delicious. This is an unpretentious family friendly Peruvian restaurant in the Sedano's shopping center with excellent service. I like very few things better than finding a hidden jewel. It can be a little hard to even want to different things when you're on a budget. But because I do really like Peruvian food I took a chance and walked in this place and I was so very glad I did. Inside was bigger then I expected. Nice and clean. I ordered the roasted chicken and vowed its the only place I'll come to get roasted chicken when my budget allowed. As a half of chicken runs about $12 bucks. It's located in the corner of a Sedano's strip mall on the intersection of 137th ave and 152 street. While a little pricey compared to Peruvian spots around Kendall drive, it's so much more convenient when I need a ceviche fix, as I live a couple blocks away. They offer a huge serving of ceviche which is always fresh and well marinated (never smells fishy). The lomo saltado and chupe de mariscos are always enough to feed two and nothings better than an icy cold inca cola to wash it all down. read more

Best ceviche in the area. Don't be put off by the exterior - you can find great food in strip malls and converted gas stations south of Miami! Be aware the portions are huge! I've eaten here several times and there is nothing I could have finished by myself. Also the menu is only partially translated into English and many waiters are not bilingual ... For being a hole in a wall, what a nice refreshing surprise. Service is outstanding. Our waitress very quick and attentive. She even brought me a glass pitcher of water to our table. I've eaten here a few times and was very pleased both times. I love peruvian food and try to find different places to experience new flavors in different dishes. The ceviche platter is amazing. Each portion was a different prepared version of ceviche. It was great. The restaurant is busy and sometimes finding a waitress is time consuming. The decor for this place is very mom and pop BUT this restaurant is run like a family's home and you are welcomed like family as soon as you enter. The food here is AWESOME. Susan and her parents are PERUVIAN and they come here OFTEN and I can see why. The food is very fresh including the seafood. The jalea deep fried combo is a must try. A single order for four as an appetizer is PLENTIFUL. Everything is seasoned well but I recommend you get extra dipping sauces if you like it spicy and highly seasoned. Would have giving this a 4 star rating because the decor is amateurish BUT the food here is INCREDIBLE and you can't eat the decor. read more

So I had been here once before and didn't really remember if I liked it so much. Gave it another try since I knew it wouldn't be bad if not i would've remembered it. I mainly went for the ceviche since that's my favorite dish. Unfortunately I did not like the fish (ceviche). I've been to many Peruvian restaurants and tried many of theirs and this was definitely not good. I give this place five stars. The food was amazing, I was craving seafood, and I'm a big fan of Peruvian food, so we stopped here for Mother's Day. When we first arrived we had to wait about five minutes for a table, but once we were seated, the waiter was super nice and attentive.
