Potato Huancaina
Lauren W.

This is a local and great spot for Peruvian food! It's one of my favorite spots to eat in general, as I'll occasionally crave their huancaina spaghetti with steak - it's so creamy and the steak is so tender. My absolute favorite! The portions on any dish are very large, sharing is highly recommended Inside is well kept, clean and also undergoes periodic renovations to remain updated. Service is always so attentive and the staff is very personable and friendly!

This is a great spot for typical Peruvian food. Fresh ceviche and seafood. Authentic desserts prepared well. The service was attentive, prompt, friendly. It has a relaxed family ambience. No loud music or disturbing scenes.

Another fabulous meal at La Perla in Kendall. The food and service was fantastic!!!! I definitely will be back again very soon!!!

Chicha Morada

Best peruvian food in Kendall. Iv been going here for years with family and the quality never changes. Every time I visit the food is phenomenal, even with take out! My go-to order is always the Tallarines Verde with Chicha morada. The service here is top notch, friendly and attentive staff. Restaurant is always clean and such a good vibe. Definitely recommend this spot.

Mixed Ceviche

Best Peruvian food in Miami. Amazing plates and portions, FAST service, and great environment. Always packed yet we never wait a long time. The entrees and ceviches are delicious. I go almost every weekend and they never disappoint!!

Pescado in yellow sauce

Been passing by this resto, not busy in the outside, but when we get in it was packed! So for a first timer, if we see a place so busy it means the food is great. And sure it is...first the ceviche, fresh and they made it spicy as how we asked it. Pescado with yellow sauce is really delicious compared to other peruvian restaurants we've been to. The Jalen mixta is also good but not the greatest. I wanted it more crispy and more breading on the calamaris. Service is a little slow, but it's because the resto is super busy when we got in. I'm not taking away points for it. Overall experience, great food, good vibes.

When you walk in a restaurant with a great name and all the tables are full of guest, you know the food is delicious. Place was packed! however that didn't matter because we ordered and our dinner was at the table in less than 10 minutes. Impressive. Plates are huge and delicious. Prices are excellent for the great food. Services is very good.

Fish! Fish galore!!!

Great find in a place outside my normal travels! Six of us went and found a delightful experience! The fish dish that was shared between myself and an equally hungry neighbor was handily the best fried fish I've had in a long time! We both were fully satiated by our meals and our wives, who shared other dishes, were equally pleased! I feel compelled to return to further explore the delights offered here! Our server was more than up to the task of getting us what we wanted, even though it was a mixed Spanish English conversation! Overall, this was a more than adequate experience and I look forward to doing it again!

Great food! Had the ceviche and it was as if I was in Callao . You won't regret your decision. Servers are nice friendly and welcoming.

Picarones!!
Gerry L.

Was in the area and I have been dying for some home made Peruvian food and was recommended La Perla located in West Kendall. The menu here contains variety of different Peruvian cuisine and very extensive. After reviewing we picked the papa de La huancaina which consist of boiled potatoes topped with a creamy tasty cheese sauce. For the main entree we then ordered was the grilled seafood platter which included calamari, shrimp, fried fish and two large tentacles of octopus. The dish was full of flavor and the very fresh seafood it also came with baked potatoes. For dessert we had the picarones which are Peruvian donuts topped with a honey based syrup. It was one of the best picarones in town even the waiter said that they come from a secret family recipe. The exterior of the restaurant was homey and the waiter was a riot in a good way. Would definitely come back to La Perla for some good Peruvian food.

Not real Peruvian ceviche. Very disappointing and the service was very poor. I will never go there again and don't recommend it to anyone

Great food, but don't expect any romantic ambiance, I felt like it was a former Huddle House.

On the outside it's a little unassuming even though the plaza itself is nice, but the decor inside was elegant. Our server was really friendly. Unfortunately, she di forget to bring into our appetizer. But we even forgot until after we were eating dinner so we didn't say anything (and it turns out it wasn't on the check either). We went at around 8:30 pm on a Friday night and there were only a few other tables, it they're open until 3am so we assume it is more of a late night spot. We both thought the food was incredible though. I had salmon (which was cooked to perfection) and cilantro rice. I ordered vegetables (zucchini, tomatoes, and broccolini) which were also surprisingly tasty. My husband had the mofongo. It was just different from the typical Puerto Rican mofongo in that didn't come with sauce other than some garlic sauce, but the taste was still great. He also liked the chicken that came with it. We will def be returning here in the future!

The place was pretty empty on a Thursday afternoon like 2pm. I ordered the chicken lomo and lentil soup and wow. The waiter was also really welcoming. Inside the ambiance was nice, I am sure it would be a lively dinner spot too. The menu has a variety of Latin choices and it was hard for me to decide. I'll be back! I knocked off one star because for it not being so busy the service was a tad slow but his attitude was so great and I wasn't in a rush I didn't mind too much.

First time we tried the regular Cuban Sandwich for lunch and it is outstanding. Sitting at the bar, you can watch them prep the sandwich and complimentary buttered bread. We inquired about a soup a lady was eating and they promptly packed up a container of it to take home and try - no charge. Finished our sandwich and the soup for dinner - yummy! A few days later we came back for dinner. My husband loved the whole snapper, I had the breaded chicken cutlet Parmigiana; it has marinara sauce, ham and then Parmesan on top grilled under the salamander for a few minutes. Such a huge portion it could easily feed two. They were out of French fries for the moment (Sunday nights are extremely busy with take out meals), so we decided on different sides. While we were enjoying our meal, they brought a huge platter of piping hot French fries, even though we already had our sides. The Flan and cortaditos topped off a delicious meal. Thanks for helping me with my Spanish - I'll have all winter to practice.

The food was amazing, chicken soup was on point with seasoning. Masa's de Puerco with white rice, black beans and tostones. I need to go by soon and try it in person, I can see myself giving them 5 stars after that. Definitely best Cuban restaurant in this area by a long shot.
