Me being Puerto Rican and Black I am used to a variety of different flavors. I ordered the Churrasco plate $25 which included tostones, veggies, and this rice and beans combo that tasted like it was cooked with coconut milk. The chicken tamale Homdurenos was different than the typical Mexican tamales. It was softer with chunks of potato, and filled with chicken and rice. The papusa was probably my favorite! The filling was plentiful and the cheese stretches! Everything tasted homemade and for a few bucks each, it was a good deal. I also had the nance drink, which had a weird after taste. The space was small but very homey. The decor is as lovely. The only down side was that they charged for gratuity without saying anything or have verbiage on the menu that stated so. I don't mind this but for a party of one, that was a bit odd. I didn't know they already charged for gratuity so I added more tips on top. Just be aware of this and skip tipping unless you wanted to add more.
