I loved this location in the kioskos. It was perfect to have dinner and hear the waves of the ocean. We had the tostones stuffed with lobster and omggggg I wish I could have brought some home. They were perfect. Additionally, we had the Mofongo with shrimp in white sauce. We had three Mofongos on this trip and this one was our favorite. I bring my friends and family here all the time whenever we visit the kiosk at Luquillo. The service is really nice they speak both Spanish and English so it's great for both residents and tourist. It's one of the few sit down restaurants in the area that seems a bit more formal; They have really great mojitos, and mofongo is on point!! The only reason I give it 4/5 is because some of the items on the menu like the chillo frito I find very very expensive and not equivalent to the remaining prices on the menu. The mofongo con Cameron for example is around 25$ where the chillo is around 45/48$ I've seen the portion I think they have biiggggg fish to fry literally, but there should be a little more of a variety especially for one person wanting to get just one meal, but if you're sharing I think it's a great price! Anyway! It's right on the beach and if you go around sunset you'll find a beautiful sunset view from any seat. Will definitely be back! It's the last one from the entrance first one from the exit so plenty of parking amazing delicious seafood, Mofongo, fish either whole with bones or in fillet. The cheesy kind of sauce is not too cheesy. It's like a mix of cheese and tomato. I would say so you would definitely enjoy any one of the Mofongo blends. Plenty of parking and this is not a dive bar. This is a definite sitdown restaurant so do not plan to come in your bathing suit top so exposed because you won't be served service is pretty quick there is staff is plentiful. Ambience is busy a lot of people so expect noise there is inside and outside seating. There is air conditioning inside and then you have plenty of outside seating as well. After our friendly waiter Leonel took our drink and food order, we noticed him getting into an altercation with another guest. Well, I guess Leonel was sent home. 10 minutes later we only received one drink. After telling the other server that we were expecting a second drink we get that just a few minutes later. A while goes by and a couple next to us, who arrived 30 minutes after us, was on their 4th appetizer; we hadn't even received 1. Ok that's fine, maybe the wait staff is really busy now that they're down 1 server. We thought we'd give them more time and we'd get our appetizer/food soon. The table next to us received ANOTHER appetizer! It was late at this point, we were hungry and could've gone somewhere else, so we tell another server to bring us the check for our two drinks-he tells us to go to the desk where people pay. We did and she handed us a $95 bill for the food we never received!!! We pointed to our table and said "look, our forks and knives are still tucked in the napkins, WE HAVENT EATEN ANYTHING!" So then the general manager or owner comes out and says we're bringing your food out right now. We told them to keep it and just charge us for our 2 drinks. We waited a total time of 1 hour and 35 minutes for absolutely nothing. It was a terrible experience, not to mention both mojitos weren't even good. Extremely watered down. Drinks and service were great. We personally found the selection of food not in our wheelhouse. My husband and I wanted to split something and since he doesn't like shellfish, we landed on pork. We had pork medallions stuffed with ground beef and wrapped with bacon. It came with beans and white rice. It wasn't bad. I was hoping they had scallops or more of a selection of grilled fish without it being stuffed. So to be fair it's not what we are use to as far as a seafood restaurant. The table had order chicken wings which were a little soggy for us, Tostones Rellenos Jueyes (crab) this was delicious and a mist try , Tostones Rellenos langosta (lobster) was ok, beef, empanadas were delicious , and lobster empanadas were so tasty, jalapeño poppers, lobster croquette are a must try , lobster bisque was highly recommend to us was we all shared and agree it was super tasty, we also had dozen raw oysters which were really fresh, Mofongo relleno de steak en salsa De zetas, Tostones smashed unripen hard very green plantains was a little blant tbh. We also tried the passionfruit piña colada which is a touch tart, and mango piña colada also tart. I am a native Puerto Rican and an avid cook. My family can cook well. On our way back from El Yunque, we saw La Parilla. I thank God that I stopped. It was the absolute BEST food I have ever had in Puerto Rico and one of my top five meals EVER! I had the Seafood Mofongo. The balance of spices and the perfectly made Mofongo were a marriage made in Heaven. My wife had the fried Red snapper with perfect seasoning and not overcooked. She had a side of Mofongo with was also great. We even took some to go. If you are in San Juan take the 30 minute drive and enjoy the beautiful views of the ocean 30 feet away. This place has both indoor and outdoor seating and you might want to get there a little early. They tend to get busy around 7 o'clock. They are a pretty casual spot located in a kiosk strip mall. They have a large selection of food and drinks and serving sizes are pretty big. We enjoyed our dinner and drinks . I would definitely recommend this place if you are visiting. The fish and shrimp dishes were yummy ! The chicharrones was a tad over cooked but tasty . The fish ceviche was flavorful.
