I called Liliana after an hour and asked for the update on the cake; she became defensive and stated to give her another 30 minutes or I had the option to cancel the cake and get my deposit back. What? My son's birthday was the next day and that was the option she gave me. She clearly never made the cake and was not apologetic at all. Very rude, unprofessional and unreliable. Liliana sent me my deposit but already ruined my son's birthday. I was in distress as this was almost 6pm at night. I had to settle for a store bought cake late at night that didn't even match my son's birthday theme. She ruined the whole thing for me. The service was amazing, they always have long lines and at times it can be wrapped around the building. The staff has a great system in place allowing the wait time to be about 6-8 minutes long from start to finish (10 minutes on a busy day). If you are wise don't go alone and have someone tag along. One person to get in line while the other parks-- then one person to get Mexican bread while the other waits in line for the tamales. The inside has a small feel to it only because of the amount of customers they have at any given time. I walked in with what seemed like a short line, only for it to feel smaller in a matter of minutes with many more customers arriving.
