Turns out all those jaw-dropping Yelp cakes are basically VIP-only.... most are special order, so the display case was giving more "snack break" than "dessert heaven." The place is tiny, and with about 10 kids running a full-volume chaos baking convention, the vibe was less cozy bakery and more "Chuck E. Cheese but with aprons and a Kitchen Aid." Not exactly the peaceful, sugar-filled escape I had imagined. I grabbed a few items anyway, slightly disappointed about the limited options and the unexpected kid frenzy. But plot twist... once we got home, the pastries actually slapped!!! My kids were fully impressed and overruled my disappointment, bumping this place from a "meh" to a "fine, I guess you're good. They were extremely happy with the mini ube cake.

Two hours before scheduled pick up time, I sent Liliana a message asking for her address so I could pick up the cake for my son's birthday. I didn't hear from her so I gave her a call. When Liliana answered the phone- she sounded confused about me picking up a cake; eventually she said it wasn't ready and to give her another hour( mind you this was after calling her at the agreed pick up time). I called Liliana after an hour and asked for the update on the cake; she became defensive and stated to give her another 30 minutes or I had the option to cancel the cake and get my deposit back. What? My son's birthday was the next day and that was the option she gave me. She clearly never made the cake and was not apologetic at all. Very rude, unprofessional and unreliable. Liliana sent me my deposit but already ruined my son's birthday. I was in distress as this was almost 6pm at night. I had to settle for a store bought cake late at night that didn't even match my son's birthday theme. She ruined the whole thing for me. No professional baker works like this- Do better Liliana or close up if you know you can't deliver. Do not patronize or you will be clearly disappointed.

The handwriting on top seems sloppy and this is not how writing is portrayed on the website. Also, I thought it was going to be fondant-decorated since the cakes on display were fondant and I specifically asked if the fondant would get dewy in the fridge. Finally, I ordered vanilla filling, but since this was my first time ever ordering a custom cake, I didn't know I needed to specify buttercream or bavarian cream, nor was it asked for clarificafion by the person taking my order. So the filling was also not what I expected. The funfetti cake tasted good, and the shells were beautiful and very realistic. 3 stars instead of 2 since my daughter still loved it and the design/color matched my request, but room for improvement and customer satisfaction. However, for the price I paid, this is pretty disappointing.
