He explained that the food was fried and no bug could have gotten in it. He was giving out party attitude and snarked at every remark. Very disappointed and this "manager" had showed me his true colors. Clearly unprofessional and rude. Will not be coming back, because of this intolerable treatment.

We walked around for a while, returning 10 minutes later. This time the owner opened the door and told us to come back at 1. When my wife explained that various sites indicate the opening time at 12 he seemed surprised, but not especially concerned nor apologetic, and simply repeated that we should come back at 1. I was about to mention to him that since we live about 20 minutes away and that traveling back and forth would be impractical, as would be walking around for 50 minutes, perhaps we could be permitted to visit somewhat earlier. But by then, the door was closed. It's a shame. The bar has so many glowing reviews and it looks like a cool place. Too bad we'll never see the inside.
