A PG-13 Goosebumps Book, but an off brand and one without the cool graphic art on the cover. Like at first glance it's 'huh'. Ok. I don't know Spain. Maybe it will be ok. I have stayed in old old places. I have vacationed in Arizona in an old mobile home. .We were warned by the person who booked that it was not as nice, but centrally located. Peoples. Personas. Yes, the carpet was probably decades old before smoking inside was illegal. And maybe no one smoked inside that day. However, it is drenched in the scent. I understand budget. But, it was really no no.

It's nice to be able to buy some food so you don't have to eat out for every meal. It's nice and clean, and the staff is very friendly. They also have a café. You can have breakfast included in your price if you want. The bathroom was quite nice. There was a wall-mounted makeup mirror that I really appreciated, and a wall-mounted blow dryer for your hair. There were also lots of extra blankets and pillows in the closet, plus a safe. I felt quite at home. It was kind of like having my own apartment i Madrid!

My first impression of the room was so depressing that I terminated my Accor All membership within minutes of entering it since I could not cancel my stay or upgrade to another Ibis hotel. Those in charge of designing the hotel have cut so many corners that what they offer is more akin to a prison cell than a hotel room. The room is tiny, lacking basic amenities and storage space. What they call a desk should be more appropriately described as a large shelf. The colours are drab - do not believe the photos on the website - similar to what you find in public institutions rather than places that are supposed to welcome you. Everything except the bed, a plastic stool and a plastic bin is strapped to the walls. The only storage space is under the bed and on four small shelves: one the size of a glossy magazine under which you find five hangers, two shelves the size of a small book strapped on each side of the bed (not the wall), and a small shelf under the sink. The mattress is ok, but the pillows are the worst I have ever experienced. Do not believe the 'sweet bed' experience their marketing promises (amusingly, in several places in the hotel, it also promises that you will sleep like a 'trunk' (sic) rather than a log). The toilet room has no lock and a sensor-based light - you must wave your hands in the air in the middle of your business to get it back... Their location is good, their Wi-Fi is fine, and the people working there are helpful. However, this does not make up for the rest of the woeful experience that awaits you there. Unless you have no choice, I strongly suggest avoiding all Ibis Budget hotels, not just this one.

The only thing that bothered me about it was a slight ruckus in the hallway, sort of like a clanging sound from the stairs door across the hall, that happened two nights in a row and noise from the street. There seems to be a bunch of tourist groups that go through, because the lobby was packed at times. The hotel did charge for something from the lobby that we didn't take or ask for, but I'm sure they'll resolve it for us; they seemed very accommodating at the front desk. All in all, I'm happy with the stay and would recommend it a trip to Madrid.

I am sure I sound like the ugly American tourist but when I think kid friendly I think toddlers and strollers and ease of mobility. It was loud and crowded with a confusing ordering system. This is probably the spot for young singles or folks with older kids but I would not recommend for families with young toddlers

Huge breakfast area with every kind of food available as a buffet! Eggs cooked to order! Honeycomb with pieces already cut out. Selection of meats with fig jam. The staff were very helpful. For example, we needed to weigh our luggage. They came to our room and weighed each piece! Fluent in English. Facilities. ATM is outside the main entrance on Calle Damián. Taxi stand is outside each entrance. Suggestion: Moving a chair in the buffet room can make a lot of noise. The hotel should put a felt pad on the bottom of each chair leg. Then you can drag a chair silently.

The counter space is perfect for someone that has a lot of things to put on the bathroom, so for the makeup aficionado or the skin care queen, there is plenty of space for all our stuff, including a magnifying mirror! The bed is comfy, and there's plenty of pillows too! There is a long desk with power outlets, perfect for your laptop/ game consoles. The room is a little pricey but for the quality of the place, it's totally worth it. I really enjoyed staying here, it's a comfortable time for sure!

They were set up separately. -the keys and the WiFi stopped working and no apologies or anything. Just the staff trying to explain why it's not working, which is not my problem?! I had to go down twice and there was no apology. The absolute worst attitude. Stay away guys!
