While cozy and charming, this intimate boutique hotel has some downsides, hence our three star rating. Noise would be the biggest complaint: Noise from within the hotel caused by the creaking wooden floors, the kitchen, the apartment above and even the next room was quite disturbing. The road noise, to include trash pickup, rolling of trash bins, people yelling and cars speeding down the street made us understand why the hotel placed earplugs on the bedside tables. To be fair, we were jet-lagged, so the noise may have been amplified by that fact. For the price, they could have provided more than continental breakfast, but we knew that ahead. On the positive side, the staff was awesome, especially the two "managers". They went out of their way to provide us with assistance and information about the city and even made several calls on our behalf. The owner was quite nice too. The at a great location and has a home-like atmosphere with eclectic arts and fabrics. Good water pressure and ample water. Comfortable beds in a very dark room with wooden shutters. read more
