He was very kind, took his time and did an exceptional job. I didn't feel rushed at all which was a pleasant surprise. My nails look beautiful clean and fresh. Simba does a great job every time and pays such close attention to detail. They're able to get me in on short notice even when it's close to the holidays. The typical salon smell is a bit strong here if I'm honest but you get used to it quickly. Don't come here expecting to get some bougie experience and do not come here if you're bigoted and demand everybody speak English. I really wanted to like LA Nails. I took a risk getting a manicure during the pandemic, but I was pleasantly surprised by their safety protocols. That was the best part of my service. The dip manicure with tips was a mess. By the time I left, almost every single one of my fingers was bleeding because Sandy was so rough on my cuticles. I picked a main color and a color for the accent nail. I noticed she used the wrong color on the accent nails (680 instead of 089). She fixed those two hastily, leaving some of the old color behind, which I noticed when I got home. I couldn't tell until I left and got my hands in the sunlight that the other color was wrong, too. I had picked a warm purplish light grey and got a light sheer pink. I'm almost glad I didn't notice until I left because I'm not sure my hands could've withstood the pain of more rough filing and buffing. The dip was extremely thick and went over my cuticles on most nails. I ended up using an electric file at home to free my cuticles because they were so uncomfortable. read more

This place got great reviews and I need a new nail salon for dip so I thought I'd give it a try. First impressions upon parking and seeing which strip mall it's located in: disappointed - it's a little sketchy. Walking in, also disappointed. It's a tiny salon made worse by total clutter and decor chaos. Half the decor should be paired down. The manicure: slow but decent. I like how she shaped my nails. Why such a low rating? The DIP polish started crackling within 24 hours only on certain fingers. Now over a week later it's flaking off. What the heck?! I've gotten dip for years and never seen this. I should have gone in right away but I honestly could not find the time to go by the salon and now it's been over a week. The search continues for my new nail place! read more

I came in for a pedicure and the massage was exquisite. I felt my legs and toes breathing I loved the massage so much that I decided to have a manicure. Sandy is great and is very kind. I will definitely go back. It is best to call and make an appointment Monday thru Friday. Walk-ins are on weekends. It may be hard to find parking, but you can park across the street near Burger King or Save-a-lot. If you're in town, stop by for a great experience. read more

Really really great customer service! From the comments, I saw that it was a family owned business and it seems it's just a mother and son running the place. It's a small little joint and not super fancy but the service over my old usual places was far better! I mean she spent like an hour and a half perfecting my nails and giving me a great massage and hot towel at the end. Which is far better than my last place where I was in an out in 40 minutes just so they could get to the next customer. Here, they made sure they knew my name, got me a beverage of choice (red wine which is always a plus), and also put the volume up a little on the tv without me asking because they could tell I was trying to listen (which I thought was so sweet). And of course, I am very pleased with the result too! Defiantly will be returning and supporting this family owned small business! read more

I stopped in because I'm looking for a new nail salon. I stood in the shop (a little after 10am) and the nail tech refused to acknowledge me. I finally got her attention and asked if she could tell me how much she charged for dip powder. She asked me what brand I was using (OPI), but I told her I wasn't looking for OPI and asked if she carried a shade of red similar to what I've been using. She just looked at me and said she doesn't have anything that would work (there were at least 7 red dip powder shades on their wall) and said "sorry". Then she turned and left the room. I'm not sure how this place has received such a high rating. I was basically made to feel like she/zither salon were too good to take me as a client. I definitely will not be spending my money there. read more

This place is my absolute favorite, I come regularly since opening in the pandemic and they have been so amazing. They make sure you wash your hands before coming in. Then check your temp and then give you gloves to pick your color. This is amazing because you know no one else is touching things. Then they have the best options for special pedicures, I prefer the gold CBD volcano pedicure which Simba usually does! He always is so friendly and asks how I'm doing etc. really love this place and am committed to bringing them more business because it's worth it! read more

I wanted to love this place and went three times before deciding I can't go back. My nails look great and the dip lasts 3 weeks but each time, a dip manicure takes 1 hr 45 minutes- an hour of this is the final file/buff, leading to really harsh treatment on my hands which ended up bleeding. Have never went to a place that took this long. The worst part is that I've left bleeding twice. Last time 3 fingers were bleeding and I couldn't even use hand sanitizer for days because it burned so bad on the open wounds. I don't post this lightly- I hope the technician can learn how to file without hurting clients. read more

I can't recommend LA Nails enough, they are incredible. This was my first pedicure since the pandemic started and they did everything possible to make it a good experience. You need to make an appointment since they're not taking walking but I appreciated that, knowing the salon wouldn't be full of people waiting. They have you wash your hands when you arrive, take your temp and give you gloves to select your polish. I opted for the volcano pedi which was $55. It was the best pedicure I have ever had and so reasonably priced. The attention to detail was beyond measure and no rushing through it. I can't wait to go back for my next pedi! read more

LA Nails does a wonderful job! I go to Simba for regular gel manicures. He is extremely consistent in providing a quality experience! My nails always look great and last a long time. LA Nails is wonderful value for the price point. And they've been really conscious about safety throughout the pandemic. Masks are required, and so are appointments so there aren't a ton of people mingling in the lobby area. They also require hand washing and temperature checks, and they have barriers between the technicians/guests. read more

Wonderful family owned nail salon. Sandy and her son Simba are the only two employees so you do have to call ahead and schedule, they don't do walk-ins except for on Saturdays. All the 1 star reviews about them not taking walk-in are not really fair and so rude to leave 1-star feedback on this family owned business just because you're put off because you didn't have the foresight to call ahead. I really liked how thin i was and that the lady pushes cuticle nah really nicely without just cutting it off. I got my nails done Sunday at noon.. I know not to take long hot showers or do a lot of stuff in the water on the first day you get them done so it deals. I waited a week or so after my appointment to write this review to see how long my nails lasted and this is by far one of the best dip manicures I have had. I was a little put off by the price ($50) for dip powder, however it is well worth the price. My nails have been flourishing and are stronger than ever. Also, I got a cucumber melon pedicure ($30), it was lovely. It is best to call to make an appointment since this is a small nail salon and they do not like to rush their clients (which is always great!). Sandy made sure I was satisfied with my nails even though she didn't even do the work. She reassured me if anything was to happen to call her and she will personally fix them. I was a bit skeptical about coming here until I got tired of paying an arm and a leg for such mediocre work. When I got there Sandy told me the person who did my nails didn't do them correctly. She said she couldn't tell if they were square nails or ballerina nails and I wanted ballerina. She assured me she'd fix them and make them look much better; she kept her word. This is my third or fourth time going to her and she has yet to disappoint me. I even recommended my friend get her nails done by her when she came to town for NYE. Oh, and her prices are unbeatable!
