Don't let these bad reviews fool you. When you walk in, you sign your name and put down what you want (if they can't take you right away) they even have an option for you to put your number down if you need to run a few errands instead of waiting. They call you and give you a 10 min heads up or so for you to come in. They have a huge full menu (something like you'd get at a restaurant). Then they have small paper ones for you to take with you. I love it because I know how much I'm paying for and what I'm getting. I waited a while but I desperately needed my eyebrows done and I just moved to walker/denham area and my usual place is off highland and that's just too far for me. They do offer you drinks like water, sprite, coke, etc and I LOVE that. Being that I'm pregnant I'm always thirsty. I got the natural pedicure and it was nice --- it was 35$ And it came with regular massage, and a scrub and lotion with one hot towel. The highland nails pedicure is also 35$ but it comes with hot wax to soften your skin, stone massage, 2 hot towels for each leg. regular massage and dead skin removal. So when I come back I'll just get the basic pedicure for 28$ I don't always like getting manicures because i just don't think they feel that good (I'm kind of weird) anyways I just got shellac polish. And she did a WONDERFUL job. Most of them time they cut my nails super short. She shaped and cut my nails perfectly and my color looks wonderful. Next is eyebrow waxing. It was $10. She did a really good job shaping my eyebrows. Unfortunately she didn't get all of the wax that was under my eyebrow which was pretty unfortunate but I'd rather have that as a problem than have her mess up my eyebrows. All in all, I'll be back. I don't like to give bad reviews to local businesses but I have to be honest here. The only reason I ever come here is if they are the only ones available when everyone else is crowded. Last time I tried to go to Soirée on a weekday around 3, soirée was totally booked up. I came here and it was a ghost town. That always says something about a business. Every time I come (3 times now?) I have an older man giving my pedicure. As a woman I don't LOVE this but I can handle it. The guy I often see tries to make jokes and be funny, they're friendly, but they barely speak English so it's hard to communicate with them at all. Other than the basics, showing what you want and what color etc. I feel like they're very slow, and do a decent job. The last lady who did my nails was filing so hard she was cutting skin on my fingers I was miserable. I don't love my nails but don't hate them either. I had to speak up to correct some shaping mistakes, if you don't feel comfortable doing that you may leave dissatisfied. I wouldn't say never come here, but soirée and Bichonne are way better. read more

Ok so this spot is new but honey it's the bomb! I come here to get my nails and feet done when I get the time and it never disappoints. Took my neighbor for a mani/pedi. Our first time there but she had gift certificate. Usually go to 3D nails. We each had a manicure (she treated me) and she also got a full set. The bill was $96.00. My neighbor is 85 and was going to a family wedding and wanted just a little nail and a clear polish on ties and fingers. I finished first and was sitting letting mine dry when they brought her out. Her nails were claws!! Long and pointed. She told me she had told her shorter and rounder but she just kept doing what she wanted. I went to the man since he seemed to be manager and told him she was not happy they were way too long and pointed. She was trying to tie her shoes and couldn't even do that with those claws. I asked him to have her cut them down and round them off. His answer. "We are too busy". Too busy??? We haven't even left yet so we should still be a client and you aren't finished with us yet. He said "maybe you come back in 2 or 3 hours and we will see if we are still busy". No I don't think so. We left there and went right to 3D Nails and explained what had happened and she said "I will fix for you, is $5.00 too much?" No it's not too much and in 5 maybe 7 minutes she had the nails where they looked like nails not claws and my neighbor was happy. LA Nails just lost what could have been a very good customer in her and a sometime customer in me. I thought that until the customer was happy the job was not done...not at LA Nails I must say that the lady at 3D Nails did a great job and never acted ugly about having to fix another salons mistake. I thought it was clean and has newer chairs. I WANT MY $40 BACK and wish I had the balls to go raise ten different kinds of hell! If the management is reading this, respond to this review if you are able to! I have a lot to say about my experience at your place of business. I hope the rest of the people that work at LA Nail Spa in Juban Crossing actually know what they are doing but the woman I ended up with had no effin clue. I "talked" to her and showed her a picture of a pink to red ombre nail design and she assured me she knew how to do it and it would be ok. I sat in that chair for almost an hour and a half for the junk she did to my nails. I just wanted to leave and never complained, so I paid her a "discounted" rate of $40 and went straight to another salon and got it all removed and redone. The lady at the second salon was speechless and even showed another worker there what my nails looked like. She was appalled that I paid for that mess (so was I), but....lesson learned. If you cannot communicate with the person doing your nails, USE ANOTHER PERSON OR PLACE. I will post a picture and find another way for LA Nail Spa to see what this woman considers work. Not my best experience as I get pedicures regularly. As I felt rushed and was not given the proper attention while we were there I have to say this is probably one of the worst pedicures I've ever had as sloppy nail polish applying and rushing of the employees there I'm sure this may have been a one time and experience but it needs to change. read more

Went in just for a polish change as my reg shop was closed. They were very unfriendly and seemed to be in a hurry with each of their customers. I took my friend here the other day and we waited 15 minutes before they greeted us and then 20 minutes before they started doing our nails when there was nobody else there except 2 people. The only reason they did get to us is because we got up to leave and they stopped us and said they'd do us now and we said no and tried to leave but they wouldn't let us. It was also $43.00 each. I've been here many times and have loved coming here, but sadly I don't think I'll return. I felt like my tech, Holly, was rushing to get everything done with me and kept hurting me with the electric file. I always get gel polish wether I'm getting acrylic nails or not and so I did the same today. Got a refill for my acrylic with gel polish. She kept complaining about something and "new polish" and would keep yanking my hands around skipping nails then going over others again and again with the polish. I've had her before and we was great! I actually had her my last visit there and that's why I requested her today. Right before she got to me, there was another incident with another woman where her nails were poorly done and she had glue and gel polish all over her hands. Holly took her back and fixed whatever it was l, but the woman said she would also not be returning. My nails are so thick and bubbles from the extensive amount of polish that's on them and I have gel polish on two of my knuckles that I now have to file off. I am very disappointed in this company. There was one person in front of me when I walked in. They were short and straight to the point when greeting me. However, two more customers came after me and I noticed that the workers greeted them with a smile, and was very interactive with them. I was told to sit in the pedicure chair. While getting a manicure a girl came in almost in tears saying how they messed up her nails and cut her 10+ times during the process. To accommodate her, they moved me to another nail tech and it just went completely downhill. At no time did I see them get sterile equipment for anyone in there getting their nails done. The new tech that I had cut me at least 4 times, I could barely relax between the bleeding and the nail tech in the next chair constantly talking on his phone while doing another girls nails.
