After a long morning we came here with a group of friends for some drinks and food and this place did not disappoint! I ordered the mango margarita and it was delicious! Strong and sweet, definitely only need 1. I ordered the grilled steak burrito and it was amazing! The steak was tender and packed with flavor. Really enjoyed the beans too! The place was busy but the waiter was good, keeping our drinks and chips full. The salsa they brought out was good too! They offer easy checkout too with a QR code on the receipt, making it so you don't have to give the waiter your card. Overall, best Mexican spot in Falcon and good service! Much, much better service this time than the first time I came here for lunch last year. Last year, came in after physical therapy. Not many people there. It seemed to me that the server did not even want me in there. I admit, I was not neat, was worn out from physical therapy, but was hungry. The food was good, and I took some home for my hubby (he loved it)... Well, when we went here a few weeks ago, excellent, attentive, and very friendly service!!!!! The place was a bit busy, but no problems! Food was great (forgot what we had), and it was hot, well-seasoned, and tasty! Was a little iffy on getting mexican food outside of Texas, but it was very good and fresh. The salsa was great and the chicken enchiladas very moist. The shrimp chimi was also very good. Overall great place would definitely eat again. read more

I loved the chips, they're good & classic I didn't taste the salsa... The rice and beans(sides of the tacos) were decent but the fried potatoes were soggy... and very dark brown ? NOOOOW the tacos NOT AUTHENTIC I was expecting street tacos. I wasn't given the options on a different one... they were the big corn tortillas. Went on a Saturday evening and sat ourselves as the sign said. The table had been cleared but not cleaned and the waiter quickly brushed off the crumbs (some onto my lap) and took our drink order. Do not get the house margarita. It tastes bad and watered down. I didn't even finish it. When I went to take a drink I noticed something red floating in my magarita. The waiter said it was red salt from the rim. Red salt?! And they wouldn't even remake it for me otherwise they would charge me again. I ordered the chicken enchiladas with green salsa and I had to ask if my order was right because the sauce was more of a brownish/orange color. The rice was also bland. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! My family of four were excited to try this spot out after recently moving to Falcon. Sign says "please seat yourself" and a handwritten sign "plz do not sit at a dirty table".. Great we would have, but 2 booths were open and not bussed. We politely asked for one to be cleared. We waited over 15 minutes and then were approached by a male waiter, the same one we asked to clear the table previously, and he asked if we were waiting on a to go order. I told him "no we're waiting on a booth.. still". He then proceeded to aggressively SLAP the sign and rudely barked at us that when someone was READY to help us, THAT is when a table would be ready. We came on a Sunday late afternoon after visiting the area & went looking for a place to eat lunch & saw the sign. So we came in, I'm used to Tex-Mex & my husband is used to Colo-Mex and no matter where we go our daughter gets fajitas. Everything was excellent! They even had a red sauce that was spicy but not overwhelming. We came here for dinner and it was in no way authentic Mexican food but it was good and we all enjoyed what we ordered. I have ordered their breakfast burritos and the menudo both to go a few times and they are consistently pretty good. One night I was really craving enchiladas and ordered some but they were completely dry. No sauce at all and no cheese. I was very disappointed and they were already closed so I posted a review to Google (saying we had had good food before but was very disappointed in the dry enchilada) and got a response from the owner saying "thanks for ordering our trusted family recipe" or something like that. Warning for take out orders at La Mission; this place will not replace your food under any circumstances. The gentlemen working takeout told us that he would not replace the food even if the customer had an allergy because all orders are final. So we were stuck with an $80 bill for four entrees we wouldn't enjoy. This place has the worst customer service I've ever experienced which is really too bad because their food is absolutely delicious. If you go into the restaurant and order the food and you make sure that they repeat your order back to you, you may be alright. We used to go in all the time, and the food was wonderful. However, if you order take out it will not be what you ask for, and unfortunately, since my wife has an autoimmune disease, that's all we can do right now due to COVID. Twice now we have ordered take out and told them we wanted plain queso only as the sauce on the chimichangas. Both times we got lettuce, tomatoes, guac, and sour cream on top of the queso. Additionally, the to go containers for the chip queso dip had bits of the lid melted into the cheese. This also happened on both take out orders.The first time this happened, we left the restaurant without checking the food. That was on us, so we didn't make a big deal about it.This time, we made sure that we checked the food before we left and since it was wrong again, we asked them to fix it. The gentlemen there refused to fix it because even though we said queso only, his claim is that for him to fix it we would have had to itemize exactly what we didn't want and specifically say, "no tomatoes, no lettuce, no sour cream, and no guac." Since all we said is we want it plain with queso only, he refused to replace it. I told him this was the worst customer service I'd ever had at a restaurant, and asked him what he'd do if I had an allergy since all sales are final. He said that even if a customer has an allergy he would not replace the food. At every other restaurant I've ever been to, if the order is wrong, the staff apologizes and remakes the food. In fact, I've never had it done any other way. I usually don't even have to ask. They'll ask me if everything looks ok. I've been dining at several restaurants where the servers will notice I'm not eating the food and offer to replace it without me asking. Many restaurants with excellent customer service will even take it a step farther and take the food off the bill. I'm very disappointed in La Mission. Their food is good, but as you can see, their customer service is awful. Deemphasizing good customer service during a time of financial difficulty isn't going to save your business. The money you would have lost to make this right, will not replace the money you would have continued to receive from a family who frequented your establishment. The owners response will be to tell you to notify your waiter of any allergies, etc. but that isn't helpful as they won't fix anything even if they did it wrong. read more

Was not going to reiterate an earlier issue, but, some people have trouble, among other things, no booze in drinks, dirty tables, but rudeness from a waiter, was definitely something I could not handle. He goes by various management names, but has always been rude to me. Although I get sick and tired of all the dirty dishes I have to gaze at while eating my food and one woman refused to sit down after he claimed the table was cleaned by him! So he cleaned it again. His former tables, he refuses to clean, does not give back your change. So one night i sat there asking for my change, was charged for another glass of wine and served it to me???? I wanted my change. Was then informed informed that he called 911??? Get this no change, rude behavior, full glass of wine and they called 911. I nixed his call, he may think the world revolves around him, but the police have more pressing matters. The BEST Mexican food we have found here in the Colorado Springs area, by far! We moved (escaped) from California 4 years ago and love it here. The only thing we couldn't find was a really good Mexican Resturant and NOW WE HAVE! La Mission has the best food and service. We had Javier and he was wonderful. Fast on his feet for all our needs. Outstanding food, friendly employees, and a large menu. We mainly do takeout which is always ready at or before the given time when ordering online. On the few occasions that we have eaten at the restaurant, the service has been outstanding. My favorite on the menu are the Taos enchiladas with calabasitas and vermicelli.
