El Tiburon Casitas - Deluxe Casita 1, double. queen and double beds

El Tiburon Casitas

El Tiburon Casitas are the nicest and best located Casitas in Loreto!…read moreThe studio type rooms are completely equipped and kept spotless by daily maid service. Pool is small but lovely. You get what you pay for and this is true here, not the cheapest but worth it. This was my second visit and new this year compared to last year's visit is high speed internet, all new comfy beds, fresh paint and some new artwork inside. Also my room had a new larger refrigerator and a new AC/Heater which was whisper quiet and super cold. The new murals around the courtyard and pool are beautiful and add to the colorful plants and palm trees between each casita. Booking a casita is a little harder than some hotels as you have to contact the hotel via email - they do not use any of the booking services such as Trip adviser or Booking.com. Unfortunately this means you cannot tell when rooms are available on the internet. But the calendar is on their official Casita website so just Google El Tiburon Casitas and the availability calendar is right there. Highly recommend these casitas for singles or couples looking for upscale lodging Loreto, in fact I am already booking for whale season with friends next year before they fill up!

Having vacationed in numerous places in the Baja over the last 6 years the El Tiburon Casitas are…read morethe most comfortable and inviting that I've had the privilege to stay in. Liz, our hostess outdid herself with making us comfortable and ensuring we had everything we needed to make our stay memorable. She gave us a tour of Loreto so we could get a feel of where things were. Showing us the best restaurants and the most awesome homemade ice cream parlor. Liz arranged for a boat tour for us and let us know all the local happenings around the area. The Casita was equipped with everything you could imagine in a kitchen. I could have baked cookies if I was thus inclined, and the staff came in and cleaned every day. It was lovely having our morning coffee outside in the courtyard and with a heated pool you could swim at any time of the day. With a well stocked library and movies if you just wanted to stay at the casitas and relax you need not look anywhere else. Close by the town square and the marina, everything was within walking distance. We have already booked a 2 week stay next year we were so impressed with the service and room. Pros * Comfortable beds * Private courtyard * Heated pool * Free WiFi * Hostess with the mostest * Full kitchen * Every kitchen appliance and utensils you could think of * Library and games * Movies * Gated * Security lights so you can see at night * Tastefully decorated rooms * Walking distance to anywhere in Loreto Cons * Having to leave as it was all booked up

Eva showed me around the grounds and pointed out where we would find everything we needed. For example; they provide drinking water to refill your water pitcher and ice trays. She also shared a local map with me. On it she had highlighted the banks, grocery stores and recommend restaurants. While all this was happening, my boyfriend was talking with one of the owners Stephan. Turns out they grew up in the same neighborhood in Petaluma...small world in deed! Our room was clean, comfortable and all the amenities (air conditioning) we needed for an incredibly relaxing stay. There was a full kitchen with everything I needed to prepare coffee and breakfast in the mornings which we enjoyed on our own little porch with a view of the pool. Our room got checked daily, bed made and garbage taken out with full service half way through our stay. Daily full service can be requested as desired. The hotel has free WiFi, a book sharing area, 2 pools (1 heated, the other not), 2 bbq areas with outdoor eating areas, and pool are towels provided. The rooms also have TV with DVD players and CDs to check out from the office. We met great people here, many of them were repeat customers and we felt like we had joined an ongoing party. We've already made plans to return!

Stephen arranged fishing trips for us with 2great skippers. We caught cabrilla, yellowtail, and the biggest pargo I've ever seen to 30 lbs! The cabana was great with all of the American amenities! We prepared some meals in our full kitchen with ample room, frig, stove , plates etc! Great Mexican coffee was in our room too! I recommend Cocos Cabañas to anyone who wants a tranquil vacation with a Mexican flair! Rod and April Lewis

THE GOOD: - Affordable option that has basic amenities…read more(including a pool) and is within walking distance of the city center - Located right on the water, the views out of the hotel rooms are fantastic, and you have beach access, which is fantastic - Breakfast is included with the stay - Staff was friendly THE OKAY: - While functional, the rooms feel a little outdated (though you're getting what you pay for) - WiFi on the property is not the greatest THE BAD: - Because the rooms have a physical key (which requires a $50 USD deposit), you have to check out with the staff -- if you have a scheduled experience (fishing, snorkeling, etc.) in the morning like we had, it can be difficult to check out because staff does not get to the front desk before 7:00am - Similarly, breakfast does not open until 7:00am, and they do not offer to-go options; so even though we stayed at the property and breakfast was included, we couldn't get anything since we had to leave in the morning Overall, it's a good value hotel, especially if you plan to stay on-site and want to be by the beach. Don't expect anything fancy, and be wary of the check-out and breakfast situation if you have an early morning planned.

Hotel Oasis, Loreto, Baja California Sur…read more My husband and I stayed at Hotel Oasis for a week and overall had a great experience! It's not a big, fancy resort, but you can't beat the location--you're right on the beach and within walking distance of just about everything. The rooms appear recently remodeled, are clean and tidy, and have comfortable beds. I was also impressed with how soundproof they were! The housekeeping staff did a great job, and most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Kevin, Larissa, Ale, Laura (I believe that's her name), and the bar staff were wonderful. Unfortunately, Alfredo, one of the waiters, had an attitude that made us decide to skip the restaurant on a couple occasions. The food was okay, not anything that stood out, but convenient to have right there. We loved the hotel dogs, too! Another favorite perk was being able to pick up a kayak, paddles, and life jackets at the front desk and head straight to the water. One thing to know: there's a $50 deposit for the room key, and you only get one, which can be inconvenient if you have different plans. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, laid-back hotel right on the beach and close to everything, Hotel Oasis is a great option. With more consistent restaurant service, it would have been an even better experience!
