The pastries and sandwiches were excellent with great service. I especially enjoyed the almond croissant which had an abundant amount of almond paste inside. So good with a nice cup of Americano coffee. If you are looking for something light and healthy for lunch, try out the vegan sandwich which was quite filling in my opinion. Ate breakfast here today. Ham and cheese omelette and toast. Meh. Ham was just deli ham, minimal if any cheese, toast dry (they didn't ask me what kind I wanted. Been going to this spot since I was a teenager and I love everything they offer. Their omlettes are the best and honestly all of their breakfast choices. They offer a wide variety of pastries and desserts you feel like you've walked into a French bakery. They have coffees, teas and matcha however you would like hot or iced. There was one young man working the entire counter on a busy Saturday. It wasn't his fault, but I was overlooked for several minutes while he helped a long line of people choosing their pastries. This place has really yummy pastries and lots of lunch options. HOWEVER, I am completely dumbfounded by the Sweet & Spicy tofu bowl. It came with only 4 (really 3) pieces of RAW tofu. Have passed this place many times but finally had a chance to try it yesterday. The smell of fresh baguettes greets your olfactory nerves as you enter and you'll want to get one of everything! The cookies looked amazing but willpower prevailed (it was 10 am). Order at the counter and when your food is ready, staff will bring it to your table. I ordered French toast and when it arrived, it looked like the most beautiful French toast I'd ever seen. BUT - it was just a bit too dry - normally I like my French toast dipped not soaked but this needed a bit more egg batter. Was still good but three pieces was way too filling. The Detox Chai Latte was heavenly - I would go back just for that! Daughter had the salmon tartine and liked it. She also had a blueberry pastry that had lots of flaky buttery pastry surrounding a nest of blueberries- yum! Everything I've ever had from la mie has been phenomenal. My husband got me macaroons for my birthday: phenomenal. During baconfest 2016 they had a croissant with bacon and cheddar: phenomonal.
