STUPID EXPENSIVE. A CHILDs cup of ice cream is $4.95 + tax. Of course my child wanted sprinkles, them things were an extra $1.95. I paid almost $8.00 for a small cup of ice cream. Not sure if it's a way to keep up with the rent, but this is absolutely unreasonable. I generally get saddened when I see stores close their doors, but if that was the case here I'd understand why. I will mention the staff is generally pretty friendly, it's due to them getting paid fair wages then it's a bit more justified. read more

This was definitely an interesting place to visit. What we know in Hawaii as shaved ice, here at la mochocana is known as raspado. Mexicans perfected the flavors and added so many other interesting things to it. I am a fan of tamarindo and spice but they have tons and tons of flavors. We had a huge order but the one and only girl working was beast. She got all our orders out and perfect in no time. The place has tables so you can eat there or take out. The colors inside the place are bright and vibrant as the flavors. The only complaint I have is that I wish it were more tart. My tamarindo was very sweet so I was only able to eat 1/3 of it. It's ok, got other kids that finished it up! Definitely a spot to try and taste the different flavors. I don't care too much for sweet but it's worth the try. read more

Shitty customer service. Asked to sample tejuino and was told no because it had to be prepared -- okay, that's fine. No problem, that's understandable. Ordered a tejuino and it was spoiled (mind you, I've tasted plenty of tejuino in my life so I know when it's spoiled). I'm guessing whatever pre-made tejuino mix that was sitting in their fridge was way past old. I asked for a refund or replacement for something else and was told "sorry, that's what you ordered". Yes, that's what was ordered but I didn't order it expecting a spoiled drink. It's A-ok. It's the only Michoacana around me so I don't have a choice lol. Flavors are fine, some are too sweet and ice-cream can sometimes be soggy. I would advice them to adjust their freezers to a colder temperature because it only takes about 3 minutes for my cup of ice-cream to become just cream lol. They should also add more new flavors. This Michoacana is limited compared to other ones I have gone to. For instance my aunt lives in Ontario, CA and so when I visit i go to that one. That Michoacana is amazing they have sooooo many flavors. I'm not that kind of person to complain about a business but once I got in line I instantly noticed the lack of hand washing and usage of gloves. They would take money and run their hand under the sink for 2 seconds and i'm sure it's 2 seconds because I noticed it 4 times.
