STUPID EXPENSIVE. A CHILDs cup of ice cream is $4.95 + tax. Of course my child wanted sprinkles, them things were an extra $1.95. I paid almost $8.00 for a small cup of ice cream. Not sure if it's a way to keep up with the rent, but this is absolutely unreasonable. I generally get saddened when I see stores close their doors, but if that was the case here I'd understand why. I will mention the staff is generally pretty friendly, it's due to them getting paid fair wages then it's a bit more justified. read more

Ordered some Tostilocos but the chips were stale. I was charged to substitute the cucumber for the mango (no other Michoacana has charged for this). Instead of Jicama, they added Apple which changed the taste. I ordered an Agua Fresca de Pina. Their medium size is actually a small (they do not offer the size small as an option) and when I got home, I realized the juice tasted rancid. Spent $21 on two items that were less than subpar. This was definitely an interesting place to visit. What we know in Hawaii as shaved ice, here at la mochocana is known as raspado. Mexicans perfected the flavors and added so many other interesting things to it. I am a fan of tamarindo and spice but they have tons and tons of flavors. We had a huge order but the one and only girl working was beast. She got all our orders out and perfect in no time. The place has tables so you can eat there or take out. The colors inside the place are bright and vibrant as the flavors. The only complaint I have is that I wish it were more tart. My tamarindo was very sweet so I was only able to eat 1/3 of it. It's ok, got other kids that finished it up! Definitely a spot to try and taste the different flavors. I don't care too much for sweet but it's worth the try. read more

Swriously OVERPRICED, for what you get. Flavors mediocre at best. Got a mazapan and coconut icecream pop neither tasted as what they claim.

The items they have to choose from are many. They are healthy fruits and vegetables. It's so so, so good. The service is fast and the employee today was super nice and helpful. The ambiance is very wonderful. This place is so clean and smells good. It's just wonderful. Come and try this place . My first time here and I'll be back for sure. read more

Stopped by today for some Mexican ice cream. Only one lady working and one customer inside. We were not greeted or acknowledged at all! When it was or turn the lady just said what do you want! So I thought maybe she's having a bad day. So I asked how she was? Boy was that the wrong thing to ask. In the rudest tone..... Shitty customer service. Asked to sample tejuino and was told no because it had to be prepared -- okay, that's fine. No problem, that's understandable. Ordered a tejuino and it was spoiled (mind you, I've tasted plenty of tejuino in my life so I know when it's spoiled). I'm guessing whatever pre-made tejuino mix that was sitting in their fridge was way past old. I asked for a refund or replacement for something else and was told "sorry, that's what you ordered". Yes, that's what was ordered but I didn't order it expecting a spoiled drink. It's not my fault you're not rotating your inventory and aren't properly trained to handle simple customer service situations. Never coming to this location again. It's A-ok. It's the only Michoacana around me so I don't have a choice lol. Flavors are fine, some are too sweet and ice-cream can sometimes be soggy. I would advice them to adjust their freezers to a colder temperature because it only takes about 3 minutes for my cup of ice-cream to become just cream lol. They should also add more new flavors. This Michoacana is limited compared to other ones I have gone to. For instance my aunt lives in Ontario, CA and so when I visit i go to that one. That Michoacana is amazing they have sooooo many flavors. I cannot even begin to speak about La Michoacána location in Rialto! I am appalled with their quality control and aromas that permeate the entire store!! It's so pungent I get sick every time I walk in there because they work with so many dairy products and don't have the best ventilation. Summer time sure does make this place extra busy but when I came in there to get some watermelon with lime and chili, their fruit was old, mushy and gone bad!!! I mean baaaad!!!!
