I visited this location as a new patient and left after waiting an hour and twenty minutes for the chiropractor. He kept seeing existing walk-in patients before me even though I had an appointment, I never did see him because at the hour and twenty minute mark I could hear he was deep in conversation with a patient and I felt I couldn't wait any longer for a non essential appt. I had taken time off work for the appointment was and never seen, the receptionist was nice and said that he runs late on appointments. So I cannot review his chiropractic services but found his scheduling unacceptable. As a professional that bills hourly, I was very tempted to bill him for my wasted time. I am rather new to chiropractics, but I have been obsessed with watching chiropractic youtube videos and seeing their health benefits that I needed to get my adjustments done ASAP. I called around 20 minutes after they opened and was able to make a same-day appointment later in the day. The cool thing about this office is that they leave a spot open for call-ins like me so I'm sure a lot of people would appreciate that. The chiropractic assistant, Heather, was super easy going and helpful. She had directed me to print/fill out their "patient intake form" on their website and she also searched my Kaiser insurance before I got there so a lot of my intake was already done. I waited for Dr. Graney for a few minutes, but I didn't mind because I was in a massaging chair. I heard him check in on all of his patients that were waiting which was cool bc I think that bedside manner is very important! He is super easy to talk to and very kind. I mentioned that I was very fatigued lately and he tried to ask if I had anything weird/new that was happening in my life. When I told him that my aunt had passed away recently, I felt that he genuinely empathized with me which added to my comfort. I didn't get any x-rays yet bc they're installing new digital ones which can be emailed to you, but he said that I'll be one of the first to use it! The adjustments felt AWESOME. He adjusted my back by pushing down on it with 2 hands (I think that's called palmer diversified adjustments? just my guess from youtube), and then he checked my neck, then his assistant did a muscle stimulation therapy for 10 minutes, then he cracked my neck, the rest of my back, decompressed my spine and then adjusted my shoulders, elbows, and fingertips! It did not hurt whatsoever and afterwards, he gave me some stretches to do everyday. I'm going to get my 2nd adjustment in 4 days so I'll update if there's anything different, but so far I'm super satisfied with this office!!!! I'm going to bring my boyfriend here. I started having some rather constant and severe lower back pain about 3 months ago. I couldn't pin anything in particular as to how I could have injured myself. One afternoon I was in so much pain that I quickly jumped to Yelp to find a local chiropractor. After looking through the reviews and stalking the office pictures, I came across Dr Jason and the wonderful staff at La Mesa Village. The office is very inviting, the office manager Heather is amazing and Dr Jason is honestly the nicest big teddy bear of a man you will ever meet. I have been to a couple chiropractors in the past and I didn't return because I felt like I was being pushed into treatment much like a used car lot, this is definitely NOT the experience with Dr Jason. During my initial consult he took x-rays, for only $10 mind you, did a quick adjustment, talked me through a few exercises and set me up with a follow up appointment to review my x-rays and put together a treatment plan. The follow up appointment and review of my health and x-rays was eye opening. He wrote a complete work up of my diagnosis and gave me more than enough reading material of each individual symptom. He is not afraid to tell you he is a geek and I loved that! Completely new to the Chiropractic world, I have been struggling with (what I thought) was a pinched nerve around my shoulder for months and months. I tried to see a Massage Therapist and she immediately recommended that I see a Chiropractor as soon as possible, so finally I went. The ladies that assist are so nice and accommodating, and Dr. Graney is a true professional but with a friendly smile and great conversation. I am visiting them 3 times a week, for about 2 weeks, and each visit gets better and better. I was x-rayed and could not believe the condition of my neck, Dr. Graney was able to explain everything to me and it was a relief just to get some answers. The massaging chair is offered while you wait (which is never more than 5 minutes) and my entire appointment does not run more than 20 minutes which is perfect because I stop by before work...and I really hate being late. I just wanted to post a quick update. Dr Graney is truly amazing. I injured my back on Thursday and spent all weekend in pain. So much pain that I went to the Urgent Care Tuesday where they gave me a Rx for muscle relaxers. I called Heather on Wednesday morning and she got me right (literally 30 mins later. ) After 20 mins with Dr Graney I feel so much better. He worked my back out and adjusted me so that I can walk again and the pain in minimal now. I have another appt on Friday and I am sure after that I will be even better. Dr Graney and his staff are truly amazing. I really could not recommend them more. I know some people might be scared to come but trust me you will not regret it. On the plane during my last business trip I had an older gentleman trying to share my seat with me. I didn't have the heart to ask him to move over, so I just sat wonky the whole way home. My back has hurt ever since. I thought a massage would make it better....wrong. Thought maybe focusing on my back while at the gym would help....nope. Finally broke down and made a chiropractic appointment. I've never been adjusted before and was actually pretty nervous. I walked in to a very cute office. We'll decorated and cozy. Heather, the assistant, was very friendly and willing to help. When Dr. Graney came into the reception area he instantly put me at ease. Very friendly and welcoming. He called himself a gentle giant and I think that description was very apropos. He took his time asking me questions about my health and what brought me to see him. I told him this was my first time ever being to a chiropractor and he walked me through everything. Before he touched me anywhere he made sure I knew and made sure I was ok with it. I also forgot about my appointment this morning when getting dressed and wore a skirt. Dr. Graney was very professional and accommodating and covered me with a gown. *snap, crackle, pop* A couple of minutes later I was able to bend over without needing help! The ache that has been there for 3 months is gone in one appointment! It did not hurt at all, quite the opposite actually. The release of pressure felt great. Visited Dr Graney's office today for my first visit to a Chiropractor. I have a bad knee and after a very polite and friendly greeting by Dr. Graney and the receptionist, I was promptly seen to. His bedside manner is impeccable, and seems very down to earth. Very caring and listens to you, which isn't the case with a lot of doctors. Received treatment, and was very understanding of my situation. My knee felt better afterwards, and I even got a back and neck adjustment which had an immediate, positive affect. I've began seeing Dr. Graney with the worst lower back pain I've ever experienced. My skepticism shrunk just after my first visit where he identified my problem as being compounded by an anatomical issue with my spine structure. I am super happy with my service! I had mid-back pain last night that was unbearable. It was a dull pain the morning before and by nightfall it was so bad I was crying. I used a Theracane, took a bath and iced my back to help ease my pain, but to no luck. I woke up the next morning still hurting, and I had to work so I searched for a Chiropractor and found Dr. Graney. Luckily he was open early so I called an made the next available appointment. I told him I didn't have insurance and didn't have a lot of money to spend, he kept the treatment within my budget and truly helped my pain. After going through a thorough intake, since we didn't do an x-ray, he had me sit in a massage chair for 7 minuets and then took me back to get adjusted. My first adjustment in my mid back felt the best, then he adjusted the rest of my spine. My pain went from almost intolerable to a dull soreness due to the inflammation. He gave specific instructions to ice my back whenever possible since I had to work the rest of the day, and told me to come back if the pain didn't completely go away by Monday and he would see me the same day.
