The menu is varied and wipes the floor with Pizza Hut. They have a nice wine menu, nothing too fancy but good enough to wash down a four seasons! I find they are very buggy friendly even though the layout isn't, and staff have been more than happy to assist or store the buggy. The restuarant chain often does 241 deals on its website or via other sites which is very god value - I always google for these first before going!

Secondly, there was a limited selection of dishes my vegetarian friends could eat. None of the pasta dishes were marked with a v, despite some only having vegetables in them. Yes, obviously, they could have a salad or a pizza, but you would think at least one pasta on the menu would be suitable for our veggie friends. Strange. Anyway, my three health conscious friends got salads, whilst I got the new recipe 4 cheese pizza with chicken on top. We shared dough balls which were, of course, warm, doughy and served with that addictive and moreish garlic butter which we all love so much. My pizza was perfectly cooked, with properly melted cheese and nice chicken strips on the top. No complaints at all. My friend's mushroom salads seemed to hit the spot, as did the chicken salad. Despite asking for every possible sauce variation going (no sauce, with sauce, sauce on side), the staff managed to get it right. We each spent about £10, which is not too bad for a nice meal in familiar surroundings. However, we did discuss that actually, Ask have a far greater selection (including meat, fish and calzone options), and now that Pizza Express has increased its price, there doesn't seem much point in not going to Ask instead! They've even started issuing 50% off and 2 for 1 voucher with as much frequency as Pizza Express. I fear this will be the beginning of the end of my love affair with the Express.

Obviously being new it is immaculate with brown decor but still classy. I decided to order the Omelette Diavola made with free range eggs and stuffed with pepperoni, green chilli, cherry ball peppers and n'duja sausages served with new potatoes and tomatoes. I waited a while for my breakfast, but the waitress kindly informed that the chef burnt the first one, so she is cooking it again. To be honest it was cooked in love- that meal!! Wow!! The eggs soft and fluffy all the ingredients inside you could taste the flavours. Now they claim it to be spicy...but it's really mild-but that didn't bother me much. The tomatoes and potatoes were a nice added touch but the Omelette Diavola was the star of the show. I will be defiantly be returning to try the rest of the menu. So far so good for the newest addition.

The food was as expected of a chain like this one, not amazing but it filled me well. I ordered the meatballs & spaghetti- the meatballs were medium rare which isn't something that I requested, or was made aware of. All went down okay anyway so overall not too bad.

Di Napoli Pizzeria is the only independent pizza restaurant for absolutely miles. It is also the only one with a proper forno a legna (wood fired oven) and it's a beaut too. The pizzaiolo is also from Palermo, so the credentials are definitely there. To put it in context, the nearest authentic Neapolitan pizza joints are as far away as East Finchley and Palmers Green - at least 20 minutes in the car and no option of delivery. If it wasn't for Di Napoli, the pizza selection in the Potters Bar (and the surrounding area) would be limited to the obvious chains serving up cheese topped loaves of bread to varying degrees of quality. Though I have been informed that Su Nuraghe has also started to dabble in pizza delivery, while Osteria Dante also does pizza as part of its menu. So, how do I rate Di Napoli? If I think local, it's by far the best pizza you can buy - by a mile. If you want something other than pizza - which comes in 13-inch or gigantic 16-inch sizes) they also do a range of starters / salads, pasta and desserts. While there are a couple of tables, first and foremost this is a delivery or collection restaurant. That is where Di Napoli is different to both Su Nuraghe and Osteria Dante which are more general Italian restaurants. Yes, there are better Neapolitan pizza restaurants in London but they are a long way away - and fundamentally not local. If I'm critical, the dough isn't as light as the very very best Neapolitan pizzas. In fact, rather than Neapolitan, it's much closer to the type of pizza I regularly get in Sicily - slightly thicker and denser in texture. I'm so grateful that this place exists and in my mind, it is a fantastic and much-needed addition to the restaurant selection in the local area. Pricing is also very reasonable and I know where I will ALWAYS spend my money on pizza when given the option of Di Napoli or the chains. If you are local to this area, you should do the same too.
