From the specials: chorizo, sweet potato, sundried tomato, mozzarella and a little tomato sauce.

Legitimately the best pizza I have ever had. Light, airy, incredibly tearable base and crust. Perfect toppings. I had one of the specials which had sweet potato - see uploaded picture. Starters were also fabulous. Had a fresh burrata ball on toasted sourdough bread and some very flavourful bresaola. These were also in the specials on the board. Perfectly nice service, and the restaurant itself is very roomy with lots of seating, including a quieter area at the back. To our surprise it wasn't that crowded this evening, though we did arrive relatively early.

    My soggy pizza.

I'm revising my previous 3 star review to 4 star. The problem with the first visit is that we were seated near a group of people shouting like they were in a pub. The food was ok, no better, and the service was slow and for no good reason. Mostly just staff socializing with each other. The free WiFi was unusable. On the second visit the service was better, the place was more quiet, and the food was better. The wi-fi was still not usable. This restaurant basically just has pizzas and appitizers. The pizzas appear nearly instantly after you order, and are not crispy in the middle. Not the kind of Pizza you can pick up. The special pizza selection on the board was a great choice. The pesto used on some of the pizzas is excellent. So difficult to get good pesto. It would be nice if the menu included items othe than pizza.

Great food & laid back atmosphere. There is a lot of seating inside but this place gets very busy during peak hours. Food is well priced and the management is very attentive to guests. The pizza was individual generous portions and the side salad had a lovely dressing. I got the special veggie pizza of the day. Was really flavorsome. Our table also shared the organic Madregale rosso which is a Sangiovese wine. This went well with our pizzas. Good experience- will return.

I was so hungry I ordered two pizzas

Great pizzas and great vibe. Try to get an outdoor seat while it's warm. Some guy will take your name down but he line moves pretty quick (20mins for us on a Friday evening) and while you wait they'll serve you slices of pizza in the line. Chorizo pizza was a winner!

We ordered asparagus with butter and fried fish with spinach and tartar sauce. The ingredients were fresh but nothing too special. The pasta is AMAZING!! I got the tagliatelle with lamb ragu. The lamb is so soft it melts in your mouth and the pasta sauce is spot on. My friend ordered spaghetti with Mediterranean seafood. She said it was really good as well but the clams weren't cleaned well since she could still taste the grit. Other than that I would say it is one of the best pasta places I've been to. The ambiance is classy & noisy. No need to dress up or anything. Most of the customers seems to be regulars around the area. Definitely £££ so it's a bit pricy!!

The decor was great as well, clean and crisp with the piano music adding to the vibe. For my main, I had the tagliatelle with scampi, artichoke and tomato. The dish, though beautifully presented, I felt lacked a bit of flavour- think it needed a hit of citrus or some pepper? Dessert was very tasty, though not the best creme brûlée I've had- taste was there but my sugar crust was not so crunchy in places, could have used a few more minutes under the grill. Our wine was superb! Great selection in a range of price points. 4 stars for great service, ambiance, and a lovely meal with fantastic wine!

Came here last night for a date night and will definitely return. It was a quiet Sunday night and…read morewe were actually the only couple - the other 4-5 tables we saw were groups of friends (though one or two tables may have been double dates, who knows). The service was great. The waitress was lovely, quick to make a joke and happy to make recommendations. She took a few minutes longer than I'd expect to get the check (she acknowledged our request for it then I saw her taking another table's orders, delivering drinks to two more tables, etc, before we got the check) but that's a tiny slight in the face of great service the rest of the night. When we paid at the end, a man came over (manager, maybe?) to confirm we had a good meal. I really liked the decor. When we walked in we were a bit surprised to see the place completely empty, but then they brought us upstairs and there were a few other tables taken. It's a nice, white-linen type of place but still feels very comfortable. For a food perspective, we had the octopus carpaccio and garlic bread as starters - the octopus was really lovely, though a touch too much rocket; the garlic bread was good but a massive portion and we easily could have split it with another couple! It was also heavy on the rosemary, but I like that. The bread itself had a nice chewiness to it so, while we didn't have any pizza, I'd confidently order it next time. For our mains we got the bolognese with homemade tagliatelle (which was absolutely delicious) and the crab/tomato pasta with homemade tagliolini. There were some solid chunks of crab in it which was nice, but the portion was really big for both. We each ate half and took the rest to go. They say the desserts are all homemade on the premises. For £5 each that's not a bad deal! I got a semifreddo which was really nice but, again, big! Overall, I'd say it was a very good deal - £68 including service for all the above plus two beers and a soda. Note that the only beer they have is Peroni.

This is a somewhat fancy, white linen, piano-in-the-corner Italian place worthy of a special…read moreevening with a special someone. Or in my case... the need for some decent pizza. After 2 years of being spoiled by an amazing variety of pie places in Brooklyn, I can no longer suffer anything made by a chain or supermarket. In other words, I've become a pizza snob. I even get picky about how it's cooked (coal or wood-fired is preferred). So I was happy to read an article about MLB's pizza being worthy and have no qualms about taking a train or two in order to try out good food. I honestly don't need the linens or the piano or even a fork when it comes to pizza. And I kind of wonder if the formality of the place might intimidate some. Here's the thing... order what you want. Or get it to go. The staff just want you to be happy. There's a ritual to building a pie that you can watch here, for the pizza kitchen is on display, in the open. You can see the pizza chef roll out the dough, ladle on the sauce and sprinkle on the toppings. You can see the domed oven and the pizza inserted, then turned in order to face the glowing embers. Wood fired pizza ovens are so hot that the pies cook in just a few minutes. This is where the flavors and textures dance. Where the art takes place. It's where a crust becomes soggy or scorched. Where cheese melts or fries. Where a topping blends or burns. And sometimes all these things happen at once. And why pizza snobs debate over such trivial things. Did MLB score in all these departments? Not quite. I like a slightly more chewy crust, and a sauce with some twang. But I'm very happy with the overall product. And the best part about looking for the best pizza is that you have to try a lot of good pizza to figure out your fave. For anyone on a pizza quest, this should be a stop.

Artigano is a lovely Italian restaurant gem located in Belize Village…read more Seating: They have two seating locations- the first is raised seating area which overlooks the open patio and the second is further inside the restaurant down a set of stairs. The raised patio seating in my opinion is where it's at! It's lovely to dine with an open breeze but still feel the insulation of the restaurant. Food: Pre-starter: They bring all guests their own rustic style breadbasket which has a small bottle of olive oil in it. I loved the presentation. Starter: For my starter I had the Burrata Pugliese which was lovely and very filling. Served with a big ball of Burrata, a toasted crostini flavoured with garlic, and chilled aubergine below. It was a good combination of flavours. My husband had the tuna tartare which he enjoyed. Main: I ordered the Spaghetti alla Sorrentina and got the larger dinner portion. It had a nice flavour and lots of fresh mozzarella inside. I couldn't finish it all so next time I come I will try just ordering the smaller portion. My husband ordered the lamb cutlets and really enjoyed them. We shared two sides- the toasted beans with almonds and chips. In truth you only need one side between two people as the food is very filling so next time I would only order one side between two. Dessert: We shared the Tiramisu which was lovely and light. Also ordered a mint tea which came with some surprise small thumbprint cookies. The Tiramisu was great for sharing between two. Wine: Opted for a mid range Chianti which they opened up early so it was well breathed by the time we had our mains. Service: The service was friendly and extremely attentive which was impressive as the restaurant was quite busy. Food and drink came out promptly and staff were attentive to any needs. Overall a great meal in a lovely atmosphere- we will return!

Very nice, but overly priced, Italian restaurant…read more The restaurant has a nice ambience and the food is good. However the tasty dishes are over priced. The place is slightly pretentious too. It caters for the bourgeois local diners (including Liam Gallagher who is a regular) and is a little too stuck up for my liking. Alll this said the staff are competent and friendly and the manager of the restaurant is very charming. This restaurant is good, but it offers poor value for money. There are lots of Italian restaurants just as good that are much cheaper. Fratelli De Buffola offers is in the area and offers cheaper food that is just as good (if not better). Still if you've got £100 to burn and you want to really impress your dining partner, then there are much worse places than this one.
