Wow this was a great idea and I was blown away by just about everything that this place had to offer. Whether it was the drinks, food, ambiance, music, service or decorations, all the boxes are checked! We started out by ordering a couple Mezcalitas and they were offered spicy or non-spicy with or without passion fruit. As an appetizer, we tried the goat cheese stuffed tomatoes after we were served a fresh batch of chips with pico de gallo. I have never thought of pairing goat cheese with tomatoes, but man was that a game changer. They came in a pretty hefty portion size, and it was a great item to start our culinary journey this evening for the main course is I ordered the enchiladas rojas and I am not joking when I say, these are probably the best enchiladas I've ever ordered. The…read morestaff was amazing--genuinely friendly, incredibly attentive, and clearly passionate about what they're serving. You can tell they really know the food and love talking about it. One of the best parts of eating here is the feeling that you're right in the kitchen. The open-fire setup, the smells, the sound of everything cooking--it all makes the experience feel personal and relaxed, almost like you're hanging out with friends who just happen to be phenomenal chefs. I tried the tetelas and the short rib, and both were fantastic. The tetelas had that comforting, handmade feel with rich, local flavors. The short rib was ridiculously tender, full of smoky depth, and easily one of the highlights of the night. Kitchen Table's reopening feels like a win for Tulum. They dis not charge me because they messed up. I didn't eat anything, I lose my appetite when my food if not correct. We did order room service the day after and we ordered tacos and fries. First, the hotel completely failed to arrange our airport transportation as promised. We waited 30 minutes past our scheduled pickup time, only to be told by the receptionist that there was no record of our booking. After much confusion and back-and-forth, she was finally able to get us a taxi--but by then, we were 45 minutes behind schedule and nearly missed our flight. The stress this caused was beyond unacceptable. To make matters worse, while dealing with this transportation mess, we also had to sort out a completely unjustified charge on our bill. Despite having prepaid the full amount for our stay, the hotel attempted to charge us extra without any clear explanation--just that there was a remaining balance we "hadn't paid." When I refused to pay this mysterious charge, they actually made me write and sign a statement explaining why I wouldn't be paying for something they were incorrectly charging me for. The whole situation felt like a scam. What was supposed to be a relaxing trip ended on a horrible, stressful note. I cannot recommend this hotel and will never stay here again. If you value honesty, organization, and reliable service, stay elsewhere.
