We were heading south from other shopping and decided to stop here after visiting another nearby…read morethrift store that we'd been to before. This was our first time here. There was a gal vacuuming at the time we came by. The vacuum was heating up and smoking a bit, so she was concerned. There were also some students or volunteers or young new employees -- I couldn't tell which -- being given a tour of the store as we were there. Both were a bit distracting. They have some inventory that will appeal depending on what you're looking for... they don't have much furniture wise. There's a bit of a bunch of different things --linens, housewares, silverware, electronics, books, clothing etc., etc. Most things are organized together by category. Price wise, it's a mix of decent prices and high prices. They have some of the more expensive items near the counter. We didn't love something enough to buy anything here. But we are still glad we came to check them out.

At first their inventory was made up of there own items but now everything they sell is donated. I love their mission which is to help animals. The Shed Thrift is a nonprofit that donates its proceeds to various veterinary hospitals in the area to support people on social security or limited income who need life-saving surgeries for their pets. I collect vintage pieces and Shed Thrift had some items like a chandelier and a set of glasses. They also had furniture, appliances, bikes, guitars, household goods, collectibles, books, movie, CD's, clothing, accessories, and more. With the influence of DIY shows showcasing recycling and re-purposing, thrifting is more popular than ever. Thrift stores help people save money and keep items out of the landfill. Shed Thrift has some unique items like a jukebox that you didn't typically see in the local area thrift stores. With their mission to help vulnerable pets, this store is an assist to Coral Springs.

Once I walked in, I was greeted by Natalie who is a wonderful salesperson and she showed me various items that I thought I didn't need, but I'm on second thought I realized that I did. Why on earth would you pay full price for something that you can get pennies to the dollar at La Lu!?!Natalie's professionalism and her eagerness to help me was much appreciated. The products that I found there were outstanding and I highly recommend for those who are on a budget to check this place out! Two thumbs up. You'll be surprised what things you could find. Plus the money raised from your purchases at this store contributes to various charities in the local community. It's a win-win for both you and the community.

Many many items for $2! We found two pieces that called our name. On the wall are more jewelry items -- bracelets and necklaces. All next to a case of "real" (more expensive items). They also had some interesting furniture pieces and decorative items. They are busy! The people there are quite nice and they obviously have many repeat visitors... and they get new items often. On Saturday (I think I heard that right 7/4) they are having a big sale except on new items and mattresses. But even if you miss the sale, the prices are decent. Well worth a visit... -------/////////------////-----/--- We tried to find this thrift store about 10 days ago. After following the gps, we wound up by a grassy plot and some (relatively) new apartments. We figured that maybe they had moved or been replaced since we'd put this store on our "to visit" list. Later, we realized that perhaps the address or the pin for the address had been placed wrong. Today, we followed our hunch and went into the shopping center where the old Penn Dutch market used to be. Aha! We found the store north of the old market and south of Donna's Caribbean restaurant. Unfortunately, they've changed their hours and are now closed on Sundays and Mondays. ( I've sent a picture of the hours to Yelp to correct). We did peek into the front of the store and their windows. Looks like a place we'd like to come back to....

Once inside you can walk around in a circle. The store itself is much much larger than you can picture from the outside and it is jam packed with home decor, furniture, paintings, china, knick knacks, jewelry, etc. etc. They have true antiques as well as just previously used items. Everything is not a jumble, however. It is very artfully arranged. Price tags are readily visible -- and prices are pretty good. No matter what, you will find something within your price range. The items themselves are lovely or intriguing or attractive. Pick your favorite adjective and it will apply. There were a lot of things we oohed and aahed over -- from Asian hand painted China dishware to intricate wood desks; from a leather sofa to a peacock shaped fireplace set. It's the kind of place, you'll want to go back to several times. As a consignment shop, they get new items frequently. I can picture the Boca and Palm Beach decorators coming here to buy and then marking up their items several times before reselling them. If you're smart, you'll come here first.
