They were great. But my husband had a hard shell supreme style steak taco and I am so serious - I came back for lunch today! I couldn't stop thinking about those tacos! The salsa was really good too. I ended up getting extra to have over the weekend. The service is quick and everything is made fresh. I forgot to mention the churro I had. It was hot and perfect, it did not make it home! There was a steady flow of customers at the window both times and the server was patient and friendly with everyone. I haven't been inside yet but it seemed like there was really low lighting in the dining room. This spot in DeLand is well worth the visit!

Saw the fantastic reviews on this place and figured I would finally give it a shot. Boy, am I happy I did!! Mexas has quickly become one of my go-to places to eat when I am in the Orlando area- both locations, although I think I love this express location best. I've now shared it with many of my favorite people (my son, my best friend, my boyfriend) on our trips together and everyone has been blown away. The birria is fantastic, full stop. My first time, I came for street tacos.... But as soon as I tried the birria it was over for me. I haven't wanted to order anything else since. The birria quesadilla is absolutely massive and meant to be shared with at least one other person. It's a counter service spot, and they tend to be busy if you come during peak times- but food service is always fast, and every time I've had a question, they have been super friendly and patient with answers. The margaritas are strong, but decent- they are clearly premixed so nothing outstanding, but still tasty and they do the job. The guacamole is also phenomenal. Do yourself a favor and give this local spot a try!

The place is totally decorated inside with beautiful murals to give it an edgy Mexican restaurant vibe. You order at one of their kiosks that has pictures with each menu item listed, so it's easy to order. I wonder tho, since there are only 2 kiosks that if there are multiple indecisive or new people like us trying to order, would that mean a person could encounter a bit of a wait to order? My hot cheeses birria tacos were just fabulous! It didn't take long, maybe 10-12 min for them to bring the food out. The flavor was rich and blended together so we'll. The ingredients tasted fresh and well seasoned. I wish this place Assad right next to my house so I could come here regularly. However, I do plan to return here because the food was great!

I ordered the birria ramen, it was very bland and didn't taste like anything, no flavor in the meat or broth. I should've ordered the birria grilled cheese with the tomato ramen. I probably would not be back, I feel like Mexican food is supposed to be very flavorful and everything we tried just wasn't it. The only reason why I'm giving 3 stars was for the employees, and ambiance was good.
