Stopped by here because we were passing through on a road trip and wanted something more…read moreinteresting than fast food or diner food, and what a good choice! This little homey Latin food spot felt like it came out of Queens NY and not a suburban NJ town. Service is pretty informal and the woman working when we went wasn't totally fluent in English, but she was so warm and we didn't have any hitches with ordering. We went on an off-hour on a weekday so they were apparently out of most of their entrees except for a selection at their hot bar, but the pupusas were still available and that's what I wanted anyway. I ordered a loroco and revuelta pupusa plus a baleada just because I hadn't tried one before. The pupusas were hot and fresh and absolutely perfect, crispy on the outside and oozing with cheese on the inside. They came with a little slaw/salad and a delicious red sauce that I liked so much the server got me a second bowl and I cleaned both up! The baleada was sort of like a quesadilla with beans and eggs rather than cheese in a flour tortilla, which was alright but the pupusas just blew it out of the water. I also had a bit of the bistec encebollada, which was tasty and tender and a super generous portion. The food was super affordable for the portions and quality, and they do accept credit card. Really happy we stumbled upon this place, and would recommend anyone coming through town or working in the nearby offices check this spot out!

Amazing Central American food (mainly Honduran and El Salvadorian)…read more 1) I got their hot food with beef patties with stew and rice with black beans. 2) The pork and cheese pupusas are amazing. Must get. 3) The baleada made with cheese, beans, and eggs were good, but unique. Maybe, not for everyone as the cheese is very strong.

I recently had the opportunity to order and pick up alot of food from this restaurant, a little of…read moreeverything, close to $100 worth. Unfortunately this place left me feeling more than a little disappointed, particularly regarding their approach to serving curtido and salsa. Upon picking up I was surprised to find that the portions of curtido and salsa were extremely minimal. I thought perhaps this was just an oversight, as I ordered almost 10 pupusas, but when I asked for more, I was taken aback to learn that the restaurant wanted to charge me $8 for extra small bags of each. This felt quite unreasonable, especially considering that these toppings are typically a staple in many Latin cuisines and usually come as part of the meal. The curtido, a delicious pickled cabbage slaw, was practically going to get sprinkled on each pupusa with the little bag they gave me. And the salsa was barely enough to add any flavor to the pupusas; put two fingers together and that is quantity of salsa we were getting TOTAL. While I understand that restaurants need to manage costs, being stingy with such basic and beloved condiments felt off-putting. The experience left a sour taste, overshadowing what could have been an enjoyable meal. I hope the restaurant reconsiders its approach, as it detracts from the overall food experience and may drive customers away.
