The cream was good but a bit grainy in texture. I think that you will find this place hit or miss as it appears -from what they told me- that they do not have a set daily repertoire of items.

The filling reminded me a bit of spanakopita but the pastry dough was flaky and crunchy. -egg and cream cheese pastry: same type of dough as above but the filling tasted like a western omelette. -chocolate croissant: amazing!! Just like the ones I had in Paris!! The chocolate to dough ratio was just right!! -apple turnover: my husband declared this the best he's ever had! The pastry so flaky and the filling not overly sweet. So we went back an hour before closing and they pretty much had sold out of everything but had some macaroons and ginger cookies left. But, if you visit Mount Desert Island and are smart enough to visit the "Quietside", this place is worth a stop! I've been here each of my last three annual summer visits. You will see a large pink sign for Mansett Little Farm along the road on the way to the Seawall (a beautiful piece of Acadia National Park). You'll also see a sandwich-board sign advertising "Cookies and more". If you speed by, stop, turnaround and come back! You won't regret it! I never know what treats I might find available when I pop in, but I know there will always be something good. From the famed Whoopie Pie to raspberry bars to cookies and lemon squares - they are all so good. Oh, and the Hermit Bar - a New England specialty - SO GOOD! And - this place is totally on the honor system. Only once have I actually met a friend of the owner who was apologizing the the limited selection that day (I still got plenty).
