Out of nowhere, going through the tiny town of Cherryfield, there was the cheerful green building that is the Paisley Loon, with their "open" sign fluttering in the wind next to the river. And it was open at 3pm! It was the perfect spot to grab an iced coffee and a quick sandwich: I had the grilled cheese, which was exactly what I needed. It was busy, with other folks sitting at tables and working locals stopping by to grab things to go. There's a range of coffee drinks, sandwiches, pastries, and ice cream--nothing fancy, but all done just right. Super friendly staff working too. I received the coffee but without the sweetener I requested. No donuts. Got someone's attention and requested the donuts. I was given one. Flagged down another person to get the second. The time was about 2:00 PM and I was the only person in the store. Only a few cars in drive-through. I counted 9 staff inside. Most were working, some were talking among themselves. It was a struggle to get anybody's attention. I dealt with four different people. It was hard to make eye contact with anyone and not a single person smiled or said thank you. Hopefully, today was just a bad day and things will be better if I stop again.

The cream was good but a bit grainy in texture. I think that you will find this place hit or miss as it appears -from what they told me- that they do not have a set daily repertoire of items.
