I was in town visiting family & friends, they told me how great the food was. I am a food connoisseur #foodie my favorite food is Mexican food. The restaurant is located in a strip mall there's ample parking easy in and out of the parking lot. As we entered the restaurant we were promptly greeted by the hostess/waitress. There's an extensive menu will all sorts of great items I like. I decided to order carne asada fries, they looked so yummy but the meat lacked seasoning even with adding salt & pepper they wasn't appetizing . The service was good the decor is nice and authentic. We went here as our backup plan on a rainy Saturday. The restaurant was almost empty. The server/bartender was very friendly & enthusiastic about the drinks. The bar atmosphere was perfect for a quiet Saturday afternoon happy hour: colorful with sports on TV but not too loud. Service: 5/5. Admittedly it's difficult to mess up on service when you only have a handful of customers. At the same time, however, the server was knowledgeable about tequila types & brought out a bottle which he opened so I could smell it before deciding to order it or not. Drinks: 4/5. A bit on the pricey side but strong drinks made to order. Lots of choices and no drink menu so be prepared to know what you want to order before you go. Food: 3/5. Guacamole was fresh & tasted good. It was made out of real avocados so that's always a nice treat. However, I ordered vegetarian nachos & was disappointed that they came with cold melted cheese which means congealed cheese & few beans & vegetables. I had to order a side of beans to make the nachos have a balance of flavors. Price: The price is what you would expect for this area of Clovis. Ambience: 5/5 Very colorful bright bar area that had sports on TV but wasn't too loud and it was very relaxing for a rainy day. First time at this location. Decided to go with the Ceviche Combo and it was delicious. Very well presented and I was stuffed after this meal. Location is great! Employees were tentative and well spoken. Bar looks to be like a fun and a nice place to hang out. Menu is extensive and will be back to order different things to try out. First time eating here. Daughter wanted Mexican food and this was close. Food flavor was very good, and the margaritas were tasty. But, I ordered chimichanga and asked for chili verde. They did it, but did not let me know it was a $2 additional charge. My wife asked for guacamole and they brought a scoop along with some sour cream, for a $6 charge. Server was not "on his game". He greeted us pretty quickly and was polite, but seemed to forget we had ordered the margaritas. Later, he seemed to forget the guacamole. Overall, nice dining experience. Food and drink were tasty. Best Steak fajitas I've had in a very long time!! Thinking about it makes my mouth water Service was great as well. My daughter ordered the enchiladas and they were as yummy as they looked on the plate. Portion size was excellent. My wife and I have been going after church to La Kebrada for many years. We really enjoy the posole. Unfortunately, last weekend we had a batch that was undercooked chicken and concerned about it being fully cooked. We end up discarding it. Called La Kebrada and apparently they told me they were going to have the manager call me. Never got a call. Went three days later just to let him know. apparently the manager was there, and the waiter conveyed to us that he was sorry about the food. Even though they agreed the chicken was undercooked. They said it was still edible. No compensation was given. Other than we're sorry. Most likely will never go there again. read more

La Kebrada over here in Clovis is a neighborhood mainstay. Note to tequila fans: their bartender makes a mean margarita! We order premium tequila and get pitchers. Delicious! With only one exception, I have liked everything I've ordered here. The exception was their chicken mole. It was awful. They should just leave it off the menu, or work on perfecting the recipe. Just a suggestion because one bad dish can send customers away who may never come back. And neighborhood mainstays depend on repeat business. Love their tacos, enchiladas, chicken wings (appetizer) and just about everything else. They have one appetizer that we love to pair with margaritas: open-face street tacos made very simply with carnitas, cilantro, a bit of lime, and chopped fresh onions on small corn tortillas. Delicious! If you like carnitas, this is your dish! Their servers are always friendly & attentive -we really like this place because the owners & associates make each visit so pleasant. Two items were labeled incorrectly causing the two individuals to accidentally eat each other's meals half way before realizing they were both eating the wrong burrito. I was also diasappointed because I asked to substitute rice for either guacamole or lettuce in a burrito but instead they just didn't put rice at all and didn't provide either. My husband and I had lunch here today, first time there for both of us. They are definitely on the pricy side, for Mexican food but once our orders arrived, we were happy to pay more for such delicious food! Starting with the chips and salsa, best chips we've ever had! All tortillas are freshly made and they're flaky and thin. I ordered the Chile relleno, chicken taco, enchilada and all refried beans, no rice. It was a whole pasilla pepper with the stem, in a thin non-greasy batter, plenty of cheese and a light, delicious red sauce. The plate was $14.99 and I brought home more than 1/2 for dinner tonight! My husband had two enchiladas , taco, beans and rice. His taco shell was so flaky that it broke in half. It was also a handmade tortilla! The next time, I will try the fajitas! My only complaint was I got a draft beer, Negra Modelo and it was 6.99 and my husband got a bottled Tecate which was $3.50!! I am generally a fan of La Kebrada, but one night we had a group of 9 and they charged my card twice for the same order. When I saw this on my account a couple of days later & asked them to credit my account, they credited the charge, but not the tip (after 3 calls & an in-person visit). Could never get the owner to call me back. Never did get full resolution. Haven't been back since; not sure if I will & that's a shame since I love their artichoke enchiladas read more

Well I can only give a review about the Carne Asada Nachos. I got it as a take out. They asada was flavorful & the nacho chips were on the crispy side. It was covered in several melted cheeses with beans, came with a side of guacamole & sour cream. I requested a side of salsa which gave the dish more taste. Oh my my my... The experience that went from 5s to 2s at the bottom of the ninth.. Food was amazing. Enchiladas sauce was very good... salsa was fine... I asked them for no meat... the guys says well instead of rice I can just bring you sauté Onion and Green peppers... I said perfect. I asked for Mushroom, onion and cheese enchiladas... he told me it would be $2.00 for mushrooms... I said no prob. Bill came at the end... charged me $1.50 for 4pcs 0.25"by3" bell peppers. $2.00 mushroom. I just asked nicely hey why $1.50 for bell peppers. His response "well you ate the peppers right. It's extra so just pay for it. " To me $1.50 isn't big deal. But it's the principle. If he is willing to ask $2.00 for mushroom then he should have told me about the peppers also. You substitute rice for onion and bell peppers. You killed amazing food with trying to rip me off for $1.50. Thank you. read more

My wife ordered the #18 chimichanga which was probably made with an 8" tortilla with no guacamole or sour cream which is on the menu? My daughter ordered the #2 crispy tacos and nothing special here. Recommended by a friend and La Kebrada was absolutely the best. I had the pechuga de pollo and it was one of the best chicken meals I have ever had. Wife enjoyed her enchiladas. Tried this restaurant for the first time yesterday. Customer service was great however the food was questionable. I ordered the enchilada and crispy taco combo. The chicken enchilada had a bone inside, which I was not expecting. Good thing it poked the inside of my mouth before I swallowed it. Then I bite into the ground beef taco and noticed the meat was mushy. I open it up and the meat was nearly all pink! I reported this to the waiter and the chef stated they cook the meat like this to avoid it being too dry. Not sure why they wouldn't just cook the meat thoroughly. The waiter didn't offer to remake the tacos nor give a refund. Would not recommend this place and will not be returning. read more
