So I just purchased a new home and called La Jolla Locksmith. Danny answered and was able to meet me at the property the following day. This guy showed up clean cut and asked me exactly what I wanted. The home had 11 doors with all different locks on them ‍ (11 LOCKS. WHO DOES THAT????). I asked to have them all changed and only a key for the 4 outer doors. They guy got to work and within 45 minutes he was done. Tested and had 2 spares made as well! All at a completely fare price. Thank god someone did something correct in this house. All the other contractors in the house (carpet, paint and tile) kept having delays . This guy will definitely have my business in the future! Thank you again La Jolla Locksmith! read more

Called him because I got locked out of my car. Not only he took forever to open my car, he also hit my front windshield and gave it a huge dent. Of course he proceeded to deny he did it. Avoid at all costs read more

Dan was so helpful and kind and really helped me even when it was really late at night. He came very quick and opened my door in a few seconds/minutes. He charged a very reasonable price. Thank you again for all of your help! I highly recommend using La Jolla Locksmith. My key fell off my keys earlier in the day and didn't realize until I got home. read more

Very quick response and could come over to help in the same day. Super efficient, professional and with reasonable price. I highly recommend their service!! read more

I've used Danny for about 6 years now, have not been disappointed once. I've actually learned a lot about locks, push bars, cylinder types, door closer intensity levels, types of louvers etc etc. He can be pretty chatty but in a good way if you let him. I used to be in commercial real estate and every project required me to get 3 bids. Whenever I had to bid out a lock or door repair, Danny would be the lowest bid, 100% of the time. That definitely doesn't mean his work his sloppy or that he runs a shady business. He's honest, reliable, has a good crew working for him, and beats everyone else's price. Highly recommend. Ask him to tell you about the "the fake pop-up locksmith companies with a one 5-star review on Google and an out of the country address" read more

Danny was great! He came the day after I spoke to him and took care of my Locksmith needs! He was a pleasure to deal with. Professional, fast and competitively priced, his services are second to none! Thank you again Danny. I highly recommend La Jolla Locksmith Corporation. read more

Part of this story is what I experienced BEFORE I found La Jolla Locksmith Corp. After opening my security gate leading to my entry door and having the knob fall off in my hand, I pulled out the trusty La Jolla Blue Book and turned to Locksmiths. Calling one of the first large ads, I described my plight and asked them to come right away. I was told it would be a much higher cost than I expected. I asked why. "Well, rates jump significantly for site visits after 5:00 PM." I said, "It's 3:45 PM!" He said, "By the time we get there (2 miles) it'll be 5:00 PM." I hung up and then called another ad, La Jolla Locksmith Corp. I left a message at 4:15 PM and got a call back at 5:00 PM. "No, I don't charge an 'after 5' rate. I'll be right there." And he was, about 15 minutes later. Danny Weinstein is his name and he knows locks! He fixed my problem quickly by replacing the lock assembly from the inventory in his truck, and at 1/2 the cost of the other guy. However, that wasn't what impressed me the most. There was a minor cosmetic flaw in the knob of the new assembly. Danny said, "I'll be back in a few days to replace that." I thanked him, gave him his check, and didn't expect to see him again, in spite of what he said. I mean, he's been paid, the lock works fine, why would he come back for an insignificant minor cosmetic flaw? Well, call me a little too cynical for this craftsman! True to his word, in a few days I received a call from Danny asking if it would be convenient if he came out to replace the flawed knob in 30 minutes? I was quite impressed with the whole experience with Danny and want him to know, how much I appreciate his, old-world, commitment to his profession. In addition, I see from his card, he has a security contractor's license. Dear reader, give Danny a shot. I don't think you'll find a better, more talented, or more deserving, locksmith. Good luck Danny! http://lajollalocksmithcorp.com/ read more

The locksmith came to my home and didn't have the proper tools to rekey my locks. He disassembled my dead bolt and then left with my key without informing me he was leaving. I called and texted him several times trying to find out where he was, he abandoned the job. I called the company the next day and they said he tried to reach me and couldn't so he left. I did not have any calls from him in my call log and he also could have texted me as he did when he was on his way. To add insult to injury the company refused to come back and reassemble my dead bolt. I ended up calling La Jolla Village Locksmiths and they came by promptly and professionally completed all the work. read more

Danny was great about getting us the special keys we needed for those special electric room doors we needed. He has been a long standing goto guy for our company. read more

Danny is always willing to help. Regardless of the issue, he will make sure your locks get changed efficiently! Highly recommend!

What a joke. This guy is the worst businessman ever. He does not make appointments, did not properly rekey my locks and never came back to finish the job. He is not friendly and seems a bit overwhelmed. I only hired him because the previous owners of our home suggested him. I WILL NEVER HIRE HIM AGAIN!!!!! read more

Danny is an expert at replacing and repairing locks and the latest in new security devices. He came to my house to re-key the locks all around the house and make them all the same. He came at the time he said he would, and he did everything beyond my expectations. He even repaired my fancy Baldwin front handle lock combo that never worked right and at no charge. All the work was done quickly, efficiently and correctly at a cost that was below what I expected. He is the best locksmith I have ever used. read more

Being a locksmith is not an easy profession. Seems like they are always dealing with stressed out owners/tenants/property managers. We rarely call unless there's an emergency situation, usually involving the need for immediate access to a unit because of a flood. Our business relies on La Jolla Locksmith (Danny) because when we need them, they are there for us. We find them very easy to work with. read more

I called on La Jolla Locksmith after two internal locks malfunctioned at my business in Rancho Bernardo. I called late in the afternoon, around 4pm and the locksmith offered to come out right away! Because I was leaving we scheduled the appointment for the next day. He arrived on time and replaced two door knobs, fixed another lock, made keys and helped me hang up some extra things in the commercial restroom. He went above and beyond and was very polite as well. Price for all the work done was very, very reasonable. Thank you La Jolla Locksmith! read more

Quick response, reasonable price, and Danny was friendly and professional. What more could you want?

My front door lock broke and I was stuck outside in the rain with no way to get into my house. I called La Jolla Locksmith and Dan was there in 10 minutes. He got me in the house within another 5-10 minutes. Dan is honest, reliable and reasonably priced. I will not use any other locksmith. I would definitely recommend La Jolla Locksmith to friends and family. read more

This company was contracted by our HOA to provide 24 hour camera surveillance. My motorcycle was moved between 4 and 9 pm on a Saturday. I asked for the footage and was told the cameras were down (by the company) and was told they were not down by the HOA. A few days later, my motorcycle ignition was ripped out and the steering column broke. During the time this happened, the camera company had been at the building and I was told all of this was being fixed. If so, there should have been camera footage from the 2nd time someone came in and damaged my bike. I texted Adrian who told me "technology doesn't always work". Would this be an acceptable 24 hour surveillance system for a fortune 500 company or a bank? No. But for an HOA (SHE Mangement - APSM Mgmt) - apparently the lowest bidder on this deal won and their philosophy is to 'not' provide any redundancy measures when equipment goes bad. The following shows chain of events of lies between the camera company and the HOA. Additionally, with 11 cameras on the premises - they still should have been able to get SOME footage of anyone heading toward my parking spots or parking near them. But nothing. So basically everyone in that condo got ripped off when the HOA bought this system. * 12 Dec 15 - Reported 1st incident. * 14 Dec 15 - Asked for ETA on issue. No response. * 16 Dec 15 - Camera Company came to site. Adrian from Camera Company told me Cameras on the lower lot were down. Email on 17th from HOA stating cameras were working. (See below). The cameras are not down and they are working and were working at the time your bike was moved. The cameras are not monitored and are only checked if there is an issue that calls for us to look at them. We check them once a month to make sure they are working and functional. We have never had them down unless repairs were needed. I tried to review the footage today but was unable to get it to play back on the date and times you gave me. I have called the company that works on them to help out with the issue. Please note that even if we see something we may not get a clear picture which is the case sometimes. Not sure where you got your information on the cameras but it was incorrect. Thank you, Steve Casselman Senior Community Manager * 17 Dec 15 - Reported 2nd Incident and was told the Camera Company had to download software in order to view the footage and that the footage had been retrieved. (see email from Steve below). Nothing about a POE switch issue. From: Steve Casselman Date: Thu, Dec 17, 2015 at 1:03 PM Subject: 0828 RE: Motorcycle Theft Yes there was an issue with the cameras yesterday due to the main frame that all the cameras hook into sorting out while the camera technician was there. He did tell me that he did get the footage from December 12th but he has to get some software update from the manufacture for his MAC in order to view it. He said that he will let me know once he gets the footage. Steve Casselman Senior Community Manager * 18 Dec 15 - I ran into Adrian in the computer room. He was looking at the footage but it appeared to be skipping (which I witnessed). He also said at that time, the HOA has the responsibility of checking the cameras each month.. He said some had NOT been working for months. Again, nothing about a burning smell and popping switch. He did say the HOA should be checking it for malfunctions. * 23 Dec 15 - It took from the 12th of Dec to the 23rd of Dec to get the information sent by HOA below. When a POE switch goes out - it should not affect the hard drive on where the information is being recorded. Also, the 8 channel switch was installed AFTER my motorcycle was almost stolen twice. On the 17th - Steve told me specifically they had the footage. And now, conveniently - they don't. 11 Cameras - no footage. Company and HOA are full of crap. read more

Arrived on time and did the job right and quick. Made spare keys on site. It wasn't rocket science but it was one and done.
