Came by here since I was in the area and it was a very nice experience. A cool place to grab a drink (and a burger if you'd like since it's connected to another shop) and hang, the menu had a nice selection. Ended up with a lavender milk tea (good but a bit sweet, boba was chewy) and a La Jolla Shores (so cool looking, sweet but it is cotton candy flavored!). Staff were very helpful and nice, and they even offered an insulated bag to carry the drinks out. Thanks so much!
Come down to San Diego for a conference and this is across from the hotel. The drink is rather good and they definitely put a lot of fruit or boba into the drinks. Once you order using the kiosk, they make the drinks rather quickly depending on the amount of people there at the time. It does share a building with another restaurant but it is still a nice setting. We loved the drinks and have been back twice now.
Wanted something sweet before picking my daughter up from school. Found this place on Yelp. The lady who took our order was very nice. They had pretty cool drink items but I chose the La Jolla drink. It's located inside of a plaza inside of a burger spot. Parking can be validated so that's a plus because it is paid parking only.
I wanted to like this place, but unfortunately it wasn't as great as I had hoped. Even at 1/2 sweet, my drink was too sweet and didn't have as much tea flavor as I had hoped. I likely won't be back. FYI, it shares a space with the neighboring burger restaurant. No issues with service, just missed the mark for me on the drinks.
The service here is amazing! The staff is super welcoming and friendly!! It just so happened that I came to try this place on national boba day! So they had these cute little bags!! They make their strawberry matcha with fresh cut strawberries that they cut daily, and they have all the milk substitution options which is awesome. I loved the strawberry matcha, and will definitely be coming back to try more drinks!!
After driving around aimlessly in the paid parking nightmare that is la jolla (locals shouldn't have to pay, just sayin'), I settled on this spot for a quick treat and some computer work while my man got his self care sauna and cryo on at Chill N Out. I loved my oatmilk matcha boba drink! note to reader, I have not had boba in like more than a decade so I don't feel like im experienced enough to have a well researched and educated opinion about authentic or chef's kiss boba. BUT I LOVED IT! and which i ordered the bigger one, and which i had known it was much easier to suck up the boba when there was still liquid in the cup. may have unlocked a new treat obsession. if only it was lavender/rosemary flavored, OMG i would be floored. the place shared space with crispy burger and there is two entrances to the shared space. the manager/owner person was so nice, and proactive. she saw i was working on my laptop and suggested i sit at the tables with power/charging stations. LOVE THIS! every place should have this, but it is so rare to find. this alone warrants a star on its own.
Great boba! They have amazing quality and the taste is great, they have unique drinks, like a La Jolla Shores cotton candy slush, and a refreshing rose lychee drink, and a delicious strawberry shortcake!! The service was very sweet and they have a self checkout area and it even came with a sustainable bag for travel! Lots of tables to sit at indoor and outdoor and next to a very convenient food place sharing the same indoor space!
Got the House Special Milk Tea and the strawberry matcha. The house tea is quite solid. What you can expect when you.l get a house milk tea. I didn't get any seeetness adjustments and it's a pretty good level. I would recommend. The strawberry bits in the matcha are tasty and sweet but the matcha doesn't taste as rich as other places. Still okay, but that knocks it down a little for me. The inside is nice, was empty so probably good for studying. Price is not bad considering La Jolla
Can never go wrong with the La Jolla Sunrise!!! Seriously one of my favorite drinks anywhere!! It's so refreshing especially on a hot summer day!! The service is always spot on and we are always greeted with a smile!! Support this business and while you are there pick up a burger from crispy burger to enjoy as they are in the same spot!! Highly recommend both spots!!
live down the street from here so i was like damn ima come here since sun was blazing. but i ordered the lychee green tea and it was pretty solid. nun special about it tho ngl. not too sweet either. just felt like a very flat drink if yk what i mean. ordered light ice too n they put hella ice in it. but not too shabby. solid bev. oh ye and also it's connected to that burger place

The place is okay. My buddy really liked the Lavender Milk Tea. I would go back to try something different though!

The several times I've been here, the boba location keeps changing within the suite. Originally they were located in the suite with Eat Crispy Burger which mainly takes over the left side of the suite. Upon my first visit months ago, La Jolla Boba took over the right side of the suite. On my last visit Crispy Fish Tacos had moved in and taken over the right side of the suite and La Jolla Boba is set up in the middle of the suite. I'm glad they're still there. I'm sure rent isn't cheap and they are definitely maximizing usable space! For drinks, they have two sizes. I usually get the large Thai tea, no boba, which has a nice strong tea flavor yet is still creamy. I have tried their Vietnamese iced coffee. I like both, but I've had the Vietnamese coffee when it's freshly made, and it's better at that time on day one. For the most part there is someone, just a single person working the counter. There was one visit I had to wait a bit because they were either on break or in the back busy. Other than that, the service is fairly consistent. La Jolla Boba is located where Regents Pizza, Starbucks and Einstein Bagels are, so the parking lot is beyond horrible most of the time and especially during lunch. The one good thing is that they do validate for parking which is helpful. If you are short on time or in a rush, parking in the lot is more of a pain. 2026: 46 read more
This small cute Boba shop is located in a strip mall next to medical Plaza. It is very clean and it shares a space with crispy burger next-door. There are some seating inside the restaurant which is nice. And there was a counter with a menu on the TV screens on what to order. The young lady that was helping me was super patient and helpful and my questions on recommending me items that weren't super sweet, but she said they were adjustable as well. She mentioned that the tea was adjustable and sugar levels, but the Vietnamese iced coffee was made with condensed milk traditionally so the sweetness was not adjustable. I ordered the Vietnamese ice coffee with Ben's foam and it was delicious! The banana foam did not have an artificial taste and lightened up the coffee. Pricing was great too especially the size of coffee I received. She validated my parking as well so that was nice. Parking is like $3 for 15 minutes not $1 and the parking thing was very slow and pretty much broken. A huge line ended up forming to get out, but I understand it's not the boba shops fault, but the plaza itself. If the faulty parking device wasn't so bad, I would revisit. read more
The Crispy Burger store at the Regents Marketplace in La Jolla shares its space with La Jolla Boba. The two businesses replaced a taco shop and salad spot that were operated by the same ownership group. Parking can be validated if you bring the ticket to the service counter where an employee can authorize the charge to be free during a visit. Otherwise, the rate was $1 per 15 minutes. Upon walking into the double suite, La Jolla Boba was straight ahead and to the right. You could place an order using the self-service tablet stand or at the counter. The beverage categories were classics, specialties, and hot drinks (teas, Vietnamese coffee). Serving sizes for the boba teas were regular 20 oz and large 24 oz. For the regular size, it cost $5 for a classic and $6 for a specialty. For the large size, it was one dollar more for each category. Toppings cost $1 each. I arrived during a weekday lunch hour. To my disappointment, the brown sugar boba was not available because it was still being warmed up. The wait was around 40 minutes before the pearls would be ready. I don't understand why the boba wasn't prepared before the business opened at 11:00. It's a planning issue that the staff needs to rectify. My order was a large Passionfruit Green Tea with less ice and no toppings. The tea flavor wasn't strong as it was obscured by the fruity sweetness. The cost for my drink was $6.21 plus sales tax. That meant a 3.5% fee was added without an explanation. I assume it was a service or convenience charge that should have been described on the receipt. I gave a three star rating for my boba tea experience at La Jolla Boba. read more

service was giving careless .. ordered two drinks and the taro was no good tasted like water and boba was uncooked and very hard. not good .water was spilled on the floor at the lobby and was very careless to pick it up read more
