This review is for Brooke Congalves:…read more I'm new to the area and had been searching for a new hairstylist, which can honestly be nerve-racking when you've been searching from someone you can trust with your hair for years. I don't have access to social media, so I ended up finding Brooke through Yelp and I am SO happy I did! I reached out to her by text and she responded almost immediately. Before my appointment, I sent her a photo of my current hair along with a few inspiration pictures of what I was hoping to achieve. Right from the beginning, communication was easy and I felt like she understood what I was looking for. The salon itself is adorable clean, welcoming, and has a really cute modern feel. When I met Brooke, she took the time to actually look at my hair and talk with me about my goals. One of the most important things to me is keeping my hair healthy because I'm trying to grow it long which has taken some time. She was very upfront that getting exactly where I ultimately want to be would be a process, and I REALLY appreciated that instead of trying to do too much in one appointment. She respected the integrity and health of my hair while still getting me incredibly close to my inspiration photos. Brooke was also just genuinely nice and easy to talk to. The entire appointment was comfortable, relax and I was in and out in about three hours, which was another huge plus. She's also only about a 15-minute drive from my house, so finding someone this close who I actually trust with my hair feels like hitting the jackpot! Her pricing was very affordable, but to be completely honest, the quality of her work was beyond! If you're looking for someone who listens to what you want, is realistic about the process, cares about maintaining the health and integrity of your hair, and can actually deliver what you show her in an inspiration photo, go see Brooke. So happy I found MY new stylist. 10/10. Absolutely recommend!

I can't say enough good things about Charlene and Launa!…read more I was attending a wedding at a Temecula winery and wanted to be done up for the occasion. Charlene handled my hair and Launa did my makeup, and together they nailed it. Charlene guided me on adding curl but not too much volume. I was very happy with the result. Launa's makeup was equally awesome. She made me feel put together without my makeup being heavy or overdone. It held up beautifully through a long evening and I received a lot of compliments. Both ladies were professional, warm, attentive, and invested in making sure I loved the final result. They listened to what I wanted and delivered just that. I left feeling confident, beautiful, and ready for a gorgeous wedding. I would absolutely book Charlene and Launa again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for hair and makeup artists who are talented, professional, and a pleasure to work with. Thank you both for helping make the weekend so special!

I went to this salon based on a recommendation and booked with Ashley P. Unfortunately, I left…read moreextremely disappointed with both the result and how the situation was handled. My service was fairly straightforward: an all-over brown color with a red/copper undertone and a trim. I specifically explained that I wanted a copper undertone rather than a purple-toned red. There were no highlights or foils. After the first color application and wash, Ashley apparently noticed an issue before I had even seen my hair and began correcting it. Once she dried a section, I was finally able to see the color myself, and my roots were noticeably bright/glowing red. She mentioned that the salon lighting was making it appear worse and took me outside to look at it. For context, my appointment started on time at 2:30 PM, and it was after 5:30 PM before I was able to see the color for the first time. At that point, I had already been there for three hours for an all-over color and trim and needed to get home to my kids. Ashley offered to continue color correcting it, but because of the time, we agreed she would adjust the roots and I would leave with wet hair. I went back to the bowl for another application, my hair was washed and towel dried, and I paid and left. Once I got home and dried my hair, my roots were still very bright red. The photos attached to this review were taken after I got home. What made the experience especially frustrating was the $400 total: $275 for the all-over color and $125 for the trim. I messaged Ashley afterward to explain that I was unhappy with the result and asked whether any of the additional attempts to correct the color had been included in what I was charged. She explained the pricing and offered for me to return so she could attempt another color correction free of charge. I was also told there would be no full or partial refund. At that point, I declined. After spending $275 specifically on an all-over color, sitting in the salon for more than three hours, and already having multiple attempts made to correct it, I prefer to return to the stylist that I know will get it right and save myself the time and further disappointment. I understand that hair color doesn't always turn out perfectly on the first application. I've had that happen at my usual salon. The difference, for me, is how it's handled afterward. In those instances, the issue was corrected quickly and successfully. I don't expect perfection every time, but at this price point, I do expect the finished result to reasonably resemble what was discussed--or for there to be a meaningful resolution when it doesn't. A few additional observations about the salon itself: it was extremely loud, to the point that having a conversation with my stylist was difficult. While I was there, another stylist had food delivered and appeared visibly irritated with the delivery driver because utensils weren't included, walking away shaking her head. I found that interaction uncomfortable and unprofessional to witness. My back also became soaked while I was at the shampoo bowl, and Ashley mentioned that this happens frequently because of the chairs they have. I do want to give credit where it's due: the salon was kept clean, and I repeatedly saw stylists cleaning not only their own stations but helping clean one another's as well. There seemed to be good teamwork in that regard. Unfortunately, cleanliness doesn't outweigh leaving after more than three hours, paying $400 for an all-over color and trim, and still having to go elsewhere to have the color corrected. I won't be returning and will be going back to my stylist at another salon. Lesson learned.

I was lucky enough find a stylist who works with Asian hair and is much closer to my home than having to get my monthly haircuts in Little Saigon for many years. I made an appointment via text with Stephanie, the owner of Hair Plus. It's so convenient having to just travel to Murrieta to a strip mall where the parking is plentiful and stress-free. I met Stephanie a few weeks ago for my first haircut with her. Becasue I was so use to my previous hair stylist knowing how to cut my hair, I've forgotten to remember the clipper numbers she used etc. I knew I was in good hands with Stephanie when she told me she knew what type of style it was and how short. She also asked for my input when she was cutting my hair as far as the shortness on the sides. In all honesty, she really did a better job than my previous hairstylist of eight years! Her many years of being a hair stylist in South Korea and in Orange County shows in her meticulous cutting and shaping of my haircut. I was very pleased with the results as was my wife. I am so happy that Stephanie can continue to cut my hair, and hopefully soon, our youngest son as well.

Fast forward Jan of this year, came back with my daughter and we both had a haircut! Boy oh boy, I was so upset of the outcome. I had a long hair and wanted it chopped for like 5 inches and soft layers only as my request. It was a lot of cutting here and there I started feeling my hair was getting shorter and shorter as opposed to my request. The phone rang and she had a break of cutting! Finally! I looked at my hair, touched it and I know right away that the back is a mess. When she came back, I told her enough with the cutting of the length because it really is short and the layering is horrible. My daughter took a picture of it at home and I was mortified. I had to go to another salon the next day to had it at least repaired.

I hope that this review is seen first before someone decides to support this business. I have never…read morein my life felt so compelled to write such a negative review but after the treatment I received from the Owner Reyna, it's outrageous. If you have curly hair, DO NOT come here to get your hair cut. If you know curly hair, you know how traumatic getting a bad cut can be ruining years of growth and hard work into our hair. I'm not even writing this about the stylist, she was very nice just simply doesn't know curly hair well enough. This is about the owner whom argued with me on the phone for 20 minutes when I requested my money back. I have never had to fight with a business owner over a validly incorrectly done service. Reyna was beyond condescending, rude and dismissive. She continued to then claim that I actually now owed her money! She nitpicked the service that I received (a cut/wash and style) and how long the service took (1.5hr) actually makes it that I should've been charged more and actually owe her money now. My curls were beautiful before and I feel extremely humiliated with what I have now, curly hair can be a very emotional subject due to how often we deal with individuals who don't know about shrinkage and shape, how it looks wet is not the same as how it looks once it's dry. It will take a very very long time for this grow out enough to fix, yes hair grows back but it's emotionally damaging having a reminder of something so negative in the mean time. The owner had no regard for this being expressed and only continued to argue with me. She then lies and says that she would give me her personal phone number for me to send the photos of my proof of before and after, to then be sent a phone number that wasn't even hers. The first 2 photos are the before, the rest is what I have now. I've never dealt with someone so beyond unprofessional, please do not support this business. Times are getting tougher for individuals and feeling inclined to save some dollars by going somewhere less expensive should not mean you should have to sacrifice your respect and customer service. Did not receive refund.
