Upon asking what was going on, we were told that the kitchen was backed up out, however, the restaurant wasn't even half full. After another 30 minutes waiting for our third course, beef for her and duck for myself, it finally arrived, and the duck was impossible to cut through while the beef was just above room temperature. Upon talking to the manager, Bryan, we were dismissed as if we were unimportant and were told thank you for stopping by. He smiled slyly as if he knew that this happens often. It's clear that this is not a one night problem, but that this is a regular problem at this restaurant. You can tell by the other reviews that it's not that the kitchen had a bad night --they're having a bad year. So if you're staying at the hotel, the hotel is lovely. But if you're planning on dining at the hotel-- don't do it. With family in the restaurant space (including Michelin star holders) we expected a certain level of service, that was totally unmet by the staff and the fare at 1919.
