First, the people there are great, 99% of staff and nurses were very helpful and nice. But, the administration is awful. It's a business, remember above everything they care about your money. Intake is a glorified sales line, I was told I'd stay for 5 days, and would be charged a certain amount of money - great, I accepted and attended. Even asked - is there any scenario in which other services would be required that would cost additional money? I'm seeing a lot of reviews of people saying they got overcharged... "Nope! You won't need anything like that, sometimes people get labs done (bloodwork, etc) - you definitely won't need that. You'll pay X amount of $, and that's it" First day, staff is expecting me to provide bloodwork. I dont have my phone, I have no idea how much this will cost. Zero communication between staff and intake. Intake team doesn't communicate with staff at all. Additionally, the meals are disgusting. Canned, cold, mass produced prison food. On the 5th day, I'm expecting to leave to get back to work, but they then explain that I'm "required" to stay for 6 days - why wasn't this told to me at intake? I had to stay until midnight for my ride to pick me up, which just felt rediculous. On top of that, 4 months later, I was charged an additional $600 for no apparent reason, no communication. Called the billing department, no one picks up. I received a completely incomprehensible voicemail that did nothing to explain the charges, discuss next steps, or honestly even communicate an intelligible statement. Literally, could not understand a single sentiment of that voicemail. Awesome!

Staying at Premier Recovery Aftercare truly made all the difference. From the moment I arrived, Kiki, the owner, made me feel welcomed and comfortable. Her compassion and caring personality immediately put me at ease and made it feel like a home away from home. Her caregivers -- Andrea, Alfreda, and Jessica -- were incredibly attentive to my care needs. They stayed on top of my medication schedule, checked on me frequently, and made sure I had everything I needed during my recovery. They even prepared home-cooked meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which made the experience feel even more supportive and personal. Transportation to and from my appointments was also provided, so my only focus was resting and healing. As a Trauma Nurse and Home Healthcare Agency Owner, I pay close attention to the quality of care people receive, and I can honestly say I was very impressed by the level of professionalism, compassion, and dedication from the entire team. Kiki…read morepicked me up I loved chatting with her all the way from the surgery center to her beautiful recovery center. When we arrived, Mama Kimele came out and these incredible women helped get me inside. They are kind, loving, knowledgeable and will take care of all of your needs while you're there. They make you feel like you are a part of their family the moment you arrive. They will also teach you everything you need to know about your post operative care and make sure you receive your medications right on time, even if that is in the middle of the night. When you arrive, you will be helped into your room, made comfortable, given your own call button, a basket full of snacks, any drink you can think of as well as a large, insulated cup of ice water that they keep full to make sure you stay properly hydrated. There are televisions in each room and the property has a beautiful backyard where you can sit and enjoy watching the local wildlife while getting some fresh air. The facility is beautiful and has everything you need to heal comfortably. One of my favorite amenities was the reclining chair with lift assist to help you stand up. It made getting up after my surgery pain free and it reclines enough for a good nights sleep. If you are able to sleep lying down, you will enjoy a comfortable bed with plenty of pillows and blankets to keep you warm. Now let me tell you about the food! Mama Kimele prepares delicious food from scratch each day. I cannot stop thinking about the stew I was served while I was there. There is nothing like a home cooked meal while you're body is trying to heal. Everything they served was healthy and delicious! I highly recommend Premier Recovery Aftercare! I was well taken care of and feel like I have new friends for life!

    12/30/2021- My father was transferred here after contracting covid 19 to quarantine. He arrived on…read morea Thursday afternoon. It wasn't until 18 hours later that I was able to get in touch with him. The staff never gave him his personal cell phone, nor did they answer their phones at the facility. Trying to get in touch with anyone there was impossible after MANY MANY attempts. When I did talk to someone I was told "everyone was off due to the holiday". It wasn't until receiving a text the following Monday 1/3/2022 asking to sign admission paperwork for the transfer, I did actually speak to someone for longer than 1 minute. At that time I asked for a update and strongly voice my frustrations. My reply in text was enough to actually receive a phone call from someone. At that time is where I voiced my concerns about the lack of administration, communication, and it being impossible to reach anyone there. Heaven forbid there be an emergency on my end, or on his. I'm almost certain I wouldn't be able to get through, or even receive a call if something happened to him. I will say after voicing my concerns things got slightly better. But that was still after multiple attempts. Today my dad returned back to his initial facility. Upon his arrival the nurses, and wound care did a full evaluation, and documentation on my dad. He has bruising all over both arms (possibly due to blood work, yet he has a picc line), a fungal infection under his arm pits, and groin area, they noticed what looked to be bed sores on his back, bottom, and heels of his feet from not transitioning him, or offloading his weight during his stay. He literally was in bed and the same position for 10 days straight from the sounds of the report I got this evening 1/10/2022. The wound care he was receiving from an amputation was larger upon his return, than it was when he left only ten days earlier. Due to being a covid patient, I was unable to visit, and relied on him answering his phone to get any sort of updates. If your loved one doesn't have a cell phone, do NOT plan on any communication! Make sure it's plugged in and kept charging. AT ALL TIMES! PLEASE if you send a family member here, make sure to be there as much as you possibly can be!!! I'm sure if something did happen you'd never hear about it from anyone. From what I've experienced these last 10 days I wouldn't recommend having anyone stay at Legend Oaks North Austin. Maybe things would have been different if I was able to be there daily. But given him being covid positive no one was able to enter the 300 hall staff included, nor send me to the nurses station phone "because they don't have one in that hall". Keep researching!!!
