This is an all plant base restaurant. They have all the Puerto Rican specialty and some other Latin…read moreand American popular dishes. The restaurant is spacious with colorful and expressive art all over the walls. You're hearing Latin music in the background there's a large bar in the left corner. The menu is big, there's so much that you would want to try so go with the big party. Your offered three different styles of plant proteins when you order your traditional dish. We had the Pasteles, Mofongo, ALcapurria and Sorullitos. Everything came out hot and fresh. The Mofongo was out of this world. And I make Mofongo. The Alcapurria was delicious of Smith's first time having it. The portions are large enough to share. Or have leftovers. You are so lucky to meet the owner. The super friendly gentleman he gave us the backstory of why he started this restaurant. Changing his diet helped him recover from cancer. And it was about the way he ate. So he wanted to share this opportunity with meat eaters. So the whole goal of his restaurant is vegan food for meat eater so they can see that they are not missing anything. The owner also is a famous DJ. He has a talk show radio. And he's been doing it since the 70s. It was a lovely experience my Bestie found this restaurant for me. Because I'm a vegan/sometimes pescatarian. I don't get to try all the foods. It was such a lovely experience.

Okay, if you're in Carolina near the beach..Just cross the bridge and come here…read more I will say, it's sort of pricey but fresh. An abundance of friendly staff. They have everything from breakfast to lunch to dinner, wine, bakery, deli items and more. Its located right by the highway so it's busy and good. My dad has taken me here in the past. Okay so not super expensive but definitely on par with tourist pricing due to location but I can't knock the hustle

This place doesn't provide a lot of seating, but it has a huge selection of hot sauce from all across the world on a table outside surrounded by a few benches. We ordered the tequenos de queso and the reina pepiada arepa. Everything was AMAZING and full of flavor! Service was super fast, and their margaritas were absolutely delicious! This is a great little place to visit while in Puerto Rico!

It's just that you're basically getting food truck vibes and what is essentially street food for a nice, full service price point. The food is hearty- you don't need to order much to get full. Stick to what this place is good at, arepas. They load it to the max and their assortment of sauces are pretty impressive. One thing I gotta say though, $10 for an orange juice is egregious at any level. I could be at the four seasons in Bali and that would still make me raise my eyebrows. Even then I ordered it like a doof and it was like 3/4 ice!! C'mon yall, just take it off the menu if it's like that. Overall, the 24-hour aspect is nice and the food is decent. I can see myself paying a premium after a long night out, but just watch what you get because that bill can run up quick.

The one dish that got us all talking was the Churrasco 8 oz (Skirt Steak), ($25) which we ordered medium rare. Something about how they prepared the steak where it wasn't dripping blood, but still perfectly pink in the middle and also really tender and enjoyable to consume. Other items we ordered worth noting as they were also tasty was the Zarzuela de mariscos (Seafood Zarsuela) ($27) and the Ropa Vieja (Shredded Beef) ($18). The Fish Tacos ($13) were also good too.

When I arrived, the restaurant was pretty packed already. The 2-seat tables were all occupied, leaving a few 4-seat ones open which I knew the staff was hesitant to give to a solo diner. But they did seat me right away. I ordered a ceviche and a grouper filet with rice & beans and maduros. The ceviche took over 30 minutes to come and the entree also took another 30 minutes to come. It was busy but that was a bit much. Both items were fine. Nothing blew my socks off. Definitely not what I was expecting since it came highly recommended by a local. As the kids say, the food was mid lol. Prices were reasonable.

We arrived at 11am on a Monday because that's when we thought they opened. They actually opened at 11:30am, so we were 2nd in line at 11am. Once 11:30am rolled around, the line was very long. It's an old house that was transformed into a restaurant. It's pretty big in there and they have an upstairs as well. It really feels like you're eating in a Caribbean home, from the colorful tablecloth to the things on the tables. The menu is on a board, and they have a Spanish and English version. They give you a cup of complimentary plantain soup which was amazing. We also ordered the fried cheese app which came with a delicious guava sauce. For mains, I had the fried pork with tostones and my husband had the mamposteado (corned beef, fried eggs, and rice). My husband cleaned his plate, while I took leftovers back to the hotel (which we actually ate later because it was that good). They were out of tres leches that day, so we had the coconut pudding for dessert. It was my first time trying coconut pudding and it did not disappoint! For drinks, we had the passionfruit sangria. When we left, there was a very long line outside. Despite the line, they did not rush us out. Definitely recommend and would go out of my way to come back next time I'm in PR.
