As you'll see on the lunch menu that I posted, you can get a 3-course meal for 12,95€. I forgot to take a picture of the starter, but the goat cheese salad was delicious. The veal steak, while not particularly exciting, did the trick. And dessert was an aesthetically pleasing experience. This place isn't even five minutes from the museum, so I would highly recommend working up an appetite while enjoying some art and then wandering down to the outdoor seating on Figueres's Rambla. Very happy with my choice.

I ordered clams and my family sopped-up the broth with their bread before i had barely begun. the gaspacho was excellent, my wife loved her fish brochette, service was friendly and most patient with our langauge-challenged efforts to read the menu. The lone warning is that though the restaurant is informal, they are not casual at all about advance reservations. As we had none the woman who seemed to be the owner was all "No no, not possible" when we approached about 1130. A gentleman (co-owner/manager?) must have read our disappointment however and negotiated a 1215 seating which was perfect timing for our American-trained stomachs. When we returned there was only tumbleweed rolling through the place aside from ourselves; by the time we left the place was bustling and full to the brim. I don't know where all those folks came from as you truly are in the middle of nowhere - but reservations in high season are recommended.

Aside from warm and friendly service, each dish was presented with a thoughtful, artistic touch. The restaurant itself was petite but the clean lines and laid back vibe evoked a design aesthetic that permeated through decor and dishes. Everything was perfectly cooked. The tenderness of the pork and freshness of the vegetables, fish and seafood spoke volumes of the cooking technique as well as emphasis on local and seasonal ingredients. If I had one knock it would be the paella was slightly too salty, but aside from that, bravo!
