This was my first time eating at any La Granja. I walked in and smelled the chicken, and that was a good thing. It smelled awesome. I ordered the half chicken meal (white meat) with yellow rice (instead of white rice) and beans. It came with plantains and a fountain drink. I was impressed the meals were served on ceramic plates. I definitely did not expect that but appreciated it. I loved my chicken. It was really flavorful. I snagged a bite of the chicken from the chicken fajitas and that was really good too. I am not a fan of plantains, but I always want to taste one. I thought they were ok, like others I have eaten. I ended up eating them all, so I guess I did like them haha The yellow rice was pretty good and the beans could have had more flavor. They also offer a bar with lots of onion choices. I was unsure if I would like these but I actually loved them. The sauces on the onions were really tasty. I also really liked all three sauces on the table, especially the cilantro one. We met up here with some friends for lunch. The building doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside it was spotless, large, and well lighted. We ordered at the counter, and they called the number on the receipt when it was ready to be picked up. The orders were correctly done. There's a side bar with various onions and toppings. On the tables were containers with three different sauces/dressings. My husband and I ordered a half chicken, all white meat, with yellow rice, black beans, and plantains to share. It's one of their lunch special combos. The all white gives you two chicken breasts with wings. The chicken was perfectly cooked. It had a nice roasted skin, and the meat was cooked all the way through but was still moist. The mound of yellow rice was tender and flavorful. The black beans were good. And the plantains were sweet. Everyone enjoyed their lunch. We were glad they did so as it was my suggestion to come to this particular La Granja. read more

Today was my first time eating at La Granja. They have a lot on their menu. I am a fajitas fan so I went with that. It was a large portion. The chicken was very good. I liked the grilled flavor. I also liked the guacamole. I was surprised it was in a sealed container. It was still very good. There could have been a few more onions. It was tasty. I was also happy with my Pepsi. It might sound funny but so many fountain drinks are overly sweet or not sweet enough. This one was just right. I was in great company and could have stayed all day. 3.5 Stars - The food tasted good, generous portions. Ordered regular chicken wings with sides of white rice and black beans. The wings were large and meaty, moist inside, golden and very crispy outside. Although a couple wings were a little too dark, overly fried. The white rice was perfectly fluffy and the black beans were flavorful. Added raw chopped onions from the condiment bar. Garlic sauce added a punch of flavor to the chicken wings. A sports team that dined in, ordered all three flavors of chicken wings (regular, BBQ & buffalo) and a variety of the other menu items: e.g , seafood rice, noodle dish, etc. All were hefty portions and wetted my appetite to try on future visits. Service was okay. Staff hustled. The crowd at the front counter made placing and getting my order a little confusing. Actually, I got skipped by a customer who arrived after me, but it was okay because I hadn't decided what to order. Also initially, picked up wrong order. Staff could improve in making sure customer receives his/her correct order. Half the large dining area was roped off/not in use, and the sports team of teenage girls and their coaches occupied most of the other half of the dining section, so I wasn't inclined to dine in. Ok, this place looks pretty dumpy. Very basic, no frills. Order and pay at the counter, and they call your number for you to get the food when it's ready. But there's a really large selection of menu items...steak, shrimp, fish, sausages, pork, ceviche, chicken breast, chicken wings, popcorn chicken, wraps, rice bowls, empanadas, and more. We had 2 beef empanadas which were really good; fried crispy, with a decent amount of ground beef on the inside. Also had an arepa which was also good, not too heavy, with good cheese. We got a grilled chicken breast platter and a grilled steak platter. Both came with black beans and white rice, fried plantains, and a soda. The chicken platter was $12.99 and the steak platter was $14.99. Lots of food, good quality, and really delicious. They also have some tasty condiments to use; garlic sauce or a spicy sauce, also both really good. I totally recommend this place. read more

Came here to get something quick and decided to go to La Granja. I've been here a few times and have tried different items from their menu. The seafood platter is pretty good and very filling. The ceviche is very good as well. I wanted to get the ceviche, but decided to go with the fish sandwich and fries. The fish sandwich was tasty and it did the job. If I had to compare this to another establishment, it would be Pollo Tropical. The building is pretty big and it's next door to the Starbucks. When we walked in, I was astounded by all the booths inside. There was a small line, but after we got in, there was a lunch rush. I ordered the quarter chicken with rice, beans, and plantains. The chicken was tender with crispy skin, the three slices of plantains were soft and sweet, and the rice and black beans tied it all together. At the booths, there were three sauces, a red one, green, and white, all were really flavorful! My meal came with a soft drink. It took about five to ten minutes before the food came out. La Granja... a great solution for a night that you don't feel like cooking and are craving something salty. During my first introduction to La Granja I really lucked out, everything had been cooked fresh to order. Since then I feel like the food has gone down in the freshness unfortunately. Last week we were getting home late and decided to swing by for some Lomo Saltado. The steak was very tender and freshly cooked, however you could tell the rice had been cooked much earlier in the day and was bordering on crunchy. The fries were good, but overall the sauce on the meat was much saltier than usual and just tasted like it was missing something, though I'm not quite sure what. The taste of the steak barely came through the sauce, if at all. At this particular location we have never had great luck with the freshness of the rice, which I think is why my husband stopped ordering the arroz con mariscos. Normally the lomo saltado is very consistent, perhaps we just caught them on an off night, or with a different chef. As for the inside of the restaurant, the restrooms were very clean with multiple soap dispensers and sanitizer located throughout. They were taking very good precautions wiping down each table, along with the condiments after each person left. I felt very comfortable sitting down to eat. The soda is still self-serve, which I honestly have really missed. Customer service was good, although interaction is very limited due to COVID. read more

Never coming back here. Should have known. The place was empty, so the fact that I got such horrible service is beyond me. They should be lucky they still got jobs in today's world. When I called reataurant following day, Mgr denied this and said to send inspector...her name was Betty!!!! On more than 1 occasion the girl at the register was just unpleasant to say it mildly.

We were loyal customers to this location, many of the employees know us by name. We NEVER complain when they get our order wrong, (Which is often) but this situation went too far. We ordered almost $100 of food and they got our order all wrong. That really wasn't the issue. When we called to try and rectify the issue, the cashier was very dismissive and short with us and offered no solutions stating "I am very busy". She was distracted laughing with other employees while taking our order. We asked for a manager and the manager was not there ? It was very disappointing because we love the food there. Went there earlier today with my coworker for lunch after a few months. It's crazy how consistent with the quality of food for a casual restaurant. This particular trip I had boneless chicken breast with a salad and plantains. My coworker got quarter chicken with rice and beans and plantains. We both thought our food was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Delivered really quick. The service is to the point being a fast casual place and place is a little too red in color but is well maintained. It's nice that you get real silverware instead of the plastic ones at other fast food places. My other favs here are Aguadito soup and Lomo Saltado. And boy I'm so happy to find it open on New Year's Day when everyone is closed or 30 min wait. This location has open fast food joint room design, many seats and tables + booth. Thy didn't have lime in the spice station which was disappointing. Condiments were also short stocked but they responded quickly to fill it up. Food came out on usual square dish, this sets la granja so far apart from other fast food joint. I deducted a star for the food - beef and shoring grill was way over salted, almost killed me.
