Picked up some fresh fruit and a smoothie. Mango and papaya were delicious and perfectly ripe. The mixed fruit smoothie was also great! The fruits were really good quality and fresh. Highly recommend

We stopped by on our way to El Yunque to load up on snacks and supplies. The fruit smoothies were delicious. The gift shop was well stocked for anything you could want on a hike/swim. Bathrooms were clean. Lots promotions. Definitely a must stop before or after adventuring.

As part of the El Yunque rainforest excursion we were dropped here first to get light snacks and use the rest room before we hit the forest. They had one shop and they sold everything from food, fruit, drinks, socks, batteries, souvenirs etc. We grabbed quick eats but fell in love with their version of Spanish pork. Very juicy, paired with crunchy onion and peppers. We also opted for their Empanadas beef and cheese and scored big with the coconut smoothies. The smoothies was pure coco and we were hunting for just that. The Empanadas were fresh and well seasoned. Crispy and airy but well filled. We loved it.

Stopped here while waiting for our rainforest tour. It is a cute place with some fun photo ops but you can definitely tell it is geared for tourists. The smoothies are pricey but they are delicious!! My sister had the pineapple and I had the coco and both were fantastic. Definitely grab one if you're here.

Cute juice spot and souvenir shop along the main road in Luquillo. I stopped here as it was a meeting point for a tour that I was going on. There is outdoor seating should you choose to sit down and eat what you purchased inside. The employees were pleasant. While I didn't try any of the juices or smoothies, I did try the Borinquen Bowl. Oh my goodness, it was so delicious. At the end of the tour, I was dropped off at Frutera Flores and purchased another Borinquen Bowl. I will definitely be back.

Can't say enough good things about this place. I came here everyday to get my daily dose of fresh fruits. It was just what you need in the tropical weather. They sell various items ranging from fresh fruits to juices, acai bowls, fried local snacks like empanadas, entrees that include curries with beans and rice for a complete quick meal, desserts and souvenirs. You can come here for a quick breakfast or even lunch. The best part is they have fresh coconuts. I ended up trying most of their juices and their coco smoothie stood out the most. The pina smoothie was pretty good too. The homemade flan was although small in quantity it was delicious and not overly sweet. Their entrees are huge in quantity. I did like their beans and rice but not their roasted chicken. As far as their acai bowls are concerned, they were delicious but not as good as the ones you get in Hawaii(almost anywhere) but I guess one should expect that. But it's still the healthiest breakfast you can find amongst all the other fried snacks. All in all, it's location is extremely convenient as it's right on the main road and you can stop here on your way to the beach.

When I travel, I generally use a fairly simple equation to evaluate the quality of a restaurant. The higher % of locals I see, the better odds that the food will be authentic and delicious. When we went to La Frutera Flores, our group looked to be the only tourists in the place. I took that as a very good sign! The set up was confusing at first but, after watching how the locals flowed through the shop it was easy to see how everything worked. Order hot food at one counter, smoothies and juices at the next and pay at the last, easy enough. The food was some of the best I had on the island. I had ribs, steak w/ onion over stewed rice and beans w a side of sweet plantain. Everything was amazing. Others in the group had pork, chicken, vegetables, even pigs ear. Everyone love the food, except maybe the pigs ear, that may have been a bridge too far. The stars of the show were the smoothies and empanadas. I'm not lying when I say it was the best empanada I've ever eaten. Will try to go back for more if I'm back in Luquillo.

We came here as a pit stop on a El Yunque Rainforest tour. The shop is pure chaos. There's almost three lines to put your order in. Then there's another line to put your drink order in. Then finally there's a line to pay for everything. They have fresh fruit sold whole or in pieces, along side nonperishable snacks and cooler drinks. They also have gift shop items. I found that the staff was not attentive and didn't acknowledge me no matter which line I was in. The food is sitting in a glass container under heated lamps, alongside the cups of seafood pieces. It looked like the cups may have been on a tray of ice but it looked like a health code violation as it was also sitting in the warmer. The tamarind juice was not that sweet or tart but their smoothies are exceptionally amazing! They had pizza empanadas that are perfect for kids or those who may not want something that traditional.

If you want traditional Puerto Rican cuisine and FRESH fruits, THIS IS THE SPOT! We tried many restaurants in San Juan and honestly nothing was as good as what I had here. Definitely a hole in the wall. Fresh fruit Smoothies were amazing. I tried a few different ones and my favorite was the coconut.

La Frutera Flores has smoothies. It was rather rough looking from the outside. Inside is just as rough. It's close by at least. I needed an infusion of vitamins and other boosters. Was craving some fresh mango. No smoothie here today, store has souvenirs, quite a bit for a fruit shop actually. I saw some bunches of bananas on a counter but no mangoes or other fruits lying around to be sold or used for smoothies either. We walked around some and then went to the counter to order smoothies. The lady gestured to her neck slicing her hand across her neck as I told my husband the flavors of smoothies available. I asked if they were closed and she said yes. The store is open, but they are done with making smoothies. I see. It's just after 3:20PM. I left empty handed. No fresh fruit and no smoothies sold to me today. :(

If you go, then you know. The freshest and sweetest fruit blended to perfection or sliced up. Other hot items too, but it's about the fruit and cute gifts.

Came here while driving towards El Yunque. Great place for fresh fruits, smoothies, and they also sell warm food and souvenirs. Got a coconut water, mango smoothie and some fruits that were new to me.

Our small tour group stopped here for lunch on the way back from El Yunque and it was some of the best food we had on the island. It was very casual and it was on the roadside, so a lot of people hopped out of their cars to grab a quick bite. The people there were very friendly and helpful, even with a small language barrier. They have a small gift shop, cold beverages, fruits and a hot food section inside. We ordered a variety of empanadas and stewed beef and potato rice plate which was amazing. It was so delicious that we ordered another plate we finished. The prices were very reasonable as well, a filling lunch for two can be had for under $20

Best mango I've ever had in my life. Cut fresh and fast. Parking is a little rough, so make sure you don't miss it.

It's a small place located at the very top of the steep driveway leading to the Harbor View Villas, just west of town, off of Camino Vecinal. The drinks were stiff, the staff friendly and nice and the food was nothing short of fantastic. Now, it wasn't the cheapest, but I don't feel bad paying for food that would have met with rave reviews in San Juan or even Chicago or New York (and would have cost at least 150% as much there, if not more). Open only for dinner, I'd recommend making reservations -- but whatever you do, don't go to Culebra without going here.

We stopped to look at the menu. It looked very good with plenty of very interesting sushi choices that makes this place unique. A few tables outside for patrons to sit and enjoy the food. Some are to go orders. I ordered just the onion rings. For those of you who follow my reviews (become a fan today) do know how much I love onion rings and sometimes judge a place by them. There were three people in line in front of me. It took 30 minutes for me to get to the front of the line and made my order of onion rings. Then it took an hour to get them!!! What??? 1 hour and 30 minutes for onion rings? Then, to top if off, they were overcooked and burnt. While the sushi food looked good, I am not impressed with the overall service and quality of this place. With two girls running the place, food should have moved out of the kitchen quicker.
