What you see when ordering online (Le Parisien)
    Houston G.

I completely agree/echo the review Alan S. wrote 08/13/2025. I've been a fan of La Fromagerie for years. I'd usually order a Le Parisien Sandwich. Today I placed a group order of 2 x Le Parisien and 1 x Le Provencal. What I ordered vs. what I got was a drastic change from before - and extremely misleading. They should update their photos on Grubhub / online ordering to accurately reflect the true sandwiches they are serving. The new bread not only completely changed the integrity of the sandwich, but they've changed their sides as well. The traditional side salad (extra $2 charge now) is skimpy on the vinaigrette, and is completely missing figs. This salad was always delicious side: a fig and arugula salad with fresh vinaigrette. If I would have known that the bread would be substituted and the salad didn't have figs, I would not have ordered. Completely lackluster now. Unless there's drastic improvement, I will not be returning. Extremely disappointing, misleading, and underwhelming.

I ordered an Italiene sandwich for $11.99. I received two halves. Pictured here is one half opened up. It's dry and unimpressive.

Staff is friendly, but I don't think the French prepare food that is so boring, dry, and not desirable to consume.

Sophisticated Breakfast Sandwich! I order the Lyonnais Toasted with Arugula. Very good, I've been eating Brie wrong my entire life! Only thing is I wish the fig jam was a tad bit sweeter and wanted a thicker cut of bacon. Service was quick and friendly! I enjoyed learning about the different wines the shop sells!

    Smoked duck breast salad. Delicious.

French takeout lunch place with limited seating. Their duck or Mancha salad is delicious.

Le Toulouse sandwich (what I got)
    Alan S.

After wanting to try a new FiDi lunch spot before a haircut and reading stellar reviews of their smoked duck sandwich on Reddit, I went for it. Tho it tasted good, the bread was super dry/stale, and it seems like they've cut back on the sandwich insides dramatically. Showing pic on their website and what I got. Sooo underwhelming, many better options in the area.

Prepandemic, this was one of my favorite sandwich lunch spot in Fidi! I visited recently again and got the toulouse sandwich, which is the smoked duck breast and manchego sandwich. The sandwich is just as good as I remembered it but it didn't seem like it had as much protein as I remembered, which was a shame

    Californian Sandwich

I ordered the Californian Sandwich. I will say all the ingredients that they use are so fresh & the cheese is super tasty. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because it was a lil skimpy on the meat. I ended up combining both halves to make the sandwich not so bread heavy. I had this delivered though our office ordering system called Forkable so the sandwich also came with chips, an apple & a stroopwaffle.

Got the California @12.99. Which is on the lower end in terms of cost for lunch in FiDi. But their website has the sandwich listed for $9.99. Kinda bummed it's 30% more when I got there. Taste wise it's good. It's not amazing but I was aight. 3/5 The filling was skimpy. Middle was more filled, but when you get to the end of either side of the sandwich, there's barely anything besides bread. 2 slices of deli turkey, barely any avocado. 2.5/5 The good thing is that they're fast. I went there on a Monday 1:30pm. No Line, barely any wait to get my sandwich. Almost grab n go!

    Croissant

Came for a quick breakfast and was craving a croissant and why not here in downtown sf. Service was quick for my croissant while my friend had to wait a while for the panini to warm up. By far one of the best croissant I had heated with the Dijon spread. The place reminds me of Paris deli shop and it was a no nonsense just make me a breakfast item place. We sat outdoor and enjoyed the people watching as people stroll out of the street of sf. Will return and try not the other deli items.

Fresh, Filling, & Fairly Priced. Strongly Recommended.

Fresh food, fair price, quick service. La Fromagerie makes fresh sandwiches and salads (they can be made vegetarian). Everything has quality, fresh ingredients and is better priced than other places around the area. There's some limited seating inside & out. If you need something quick that will satisfy - this is your place. Strongly Recommended.

    Half of Californian Sandwich

We ordered takeout and I got the Californian Sandwich, which has turkey, avocado, arugula, cheese, and a special sauce. The food was finished as promised and so it made pickup pretty easy. However, I thought it would have been best had the bread been toasted or at least was crispier than it was. Found the bread to be a little tough, and it was a ciabatta roll. I could have made due without the arugula or the sauce the sandwich was on, which was a spicy sauce that I don't think tasted very good. I just thought that for a hopefully basic sandwich, there was a lot going on with it and so it could have been better. The menu is large and I found that the sandwiches were on the more complex side in terms of toppings and garnishes.

One of my favorite lunch spots! The salads are delicious and there are a lot of interesting options for a relatively affordable but very delicious meal. The service is good but I wouldn't say the most friendly, but it really doesn't matter since the food is pretty great. I look forward to coming in to try their breakfast one of those days. Heard great things about them.

Delicious and legit cheese shop, with amazing European imports and fantastic croissant breakfast sandwich! Really nice spot in the fi-di! Service was fast and friendly and felt a little bit like I was In Europe! Love this new spot

It isn't clear what the seating is...or not?

There's one long table with high stools, maybe 6 seats or so--not a ton, so I wouldn't count on it, but then again not a lot of people seem to dine in, it's mostly takeout.

The day I went, the brunch focaccia was an artichokes, salsa verde, sundried tomatoes, red onion, arugula, and pepper jack focaccia that day, and it was delicious! they grill it fresh in front of you (takes about 5 minutes), and I'd recommend eating it as soon as possible for the best experience. The focaccia is so light and airy with the crispy crust, and their ingredients are so high quality with a symphony of flavors.
