Vanilla Fan

The best churrasco in Puerto Rico !!!! The meat was very very soft! Try the vanilla fan, it was AMAZING ! The owner is a sweat heart !

Great mofongos!

They have amazing mofongos here, served in a traditional Puerto Rican pilon! They have all different kinds of filling as well, almost anything you want! They have seating inside our you can dine outside. Family run, friendly restaurant. We saw that they have pizza on their menu as well. They provide you with garlic bread which was also very good!

While waiting ...

What an experience, it is truly a family. Flavours you don't expect so far inland. The Pizza is a Thing of it's own; order it. This is a hidden jewel. Prices are good as much as the portions. This place deserves a great review...

The mofongo has a well balanced consistency to it and the texture is mushy and crispy at the same time.

I will never let socials inspire me to anywhere. We waited one hour for our food. Yes one hour for our food. To be technical it was one hour and one minute. We set a mark to leave after one hour. There was absolutely no reason to take that long unless they were just slaughtering the pig and chicken. The food was hot and good but the experience was such a disappointment. It was a very expensive bad experience. Our server could not be worst if he intentionally tried to be worst. He was basically none existing. It's wasn't busy so I don't get what happened. We still tipped him. I tried to justify that it wasn't his fault. He was probably embarrassed hence the none existing service. The Resturant is smaller. In my opinion it's not for big groups. It was nice and clean. I probably wouldn't go back if they offered me free food. The food was good. It was hot and fresh etc. We came to PR hoping to get good food. We completely missed all the Marks. I think the best coffee was a food truck on a road.

The locale is convenient to the Port, very imaginative, novel, and particularly clean (counting the time and the number of customers in), yet small, but ... service was unbearably slow! The food is essentially Puerto Rican fare, really creative, tasty, ... although, it's quite pricy ($$$) ... VERY GOOD!! It's (almost) worth the wait! Comparing to other restaurants of its gender in The Old City, food quality is a tad better, but pricier. If you have the time to spare, it's a must visit.

We had a long wait, but it was worth every minute of it. The appetizers (sandwiches of ham, turkey, chorizo) were phenomenal. The meat (churrascos and rib eyes) were all prime cuts and cooked to perfection; juicy and flavorful. We were a party of 8 and we were all more than pleased and happy with the food and service. Easy 5 stars . By the way, the place is truly a bakery, but surpasses many named and even recognized or so called restaurants.

***THE BEST CUBAN SANDWICH!***…read more A typical Puerto Rican small town "cafetería", very casual, but cute and warm, with lots of wood decoration. They have a lot of wines, cheeses and specialty hams, very much like Spanish "cavas". They have bakery sweets and sandwiches, breakfasts and snacks like croquettes and such. But they make, hands down, the BEST Cuban sandwich I've ever had. Ask for "pan sobao" -- a slightly sweeter and softer kind of bread. Great coffee too! It's a little too far from San Juan, unless you're headed towards Arecibo to do some tourism, in which case, this is an excellent locals stop on your way. :-) Disclaimer: Please remember Puerto Rico is not big on Yelp yet, since it's small enough for any local to find restaurants, therefore business owners don't advertise a lot and locals have no real need for it. So you see just 1 rating and review here now, but don't be fooled. Compare with my Florida and California reviews if you feel unsure. :-)

She thought that it was kind of chicque to scrabble her name on the paper finally she took away this abrasive sheet of paper and went to the kitchen to laugh about us I'm soaw it with my very own eyes and heard with ears . When they noticed that they humiliated us they scurried about. At this juncture the atmosphere was very tense. We will never go back the . It's sad because they turned a beautifully appointed restaurant into a c Chuck E. Cheese type restaurant . I don't know who said it was to cover all the table sheet of paper and crayons it was utterly ridiculous and of poor taste.

My brother and I are in Puerto Rico and he has dietary restrictions so we Yelp searched for a place that would have what he needed. It was close to the mall so we shot right over. We beat the dinner rush and, much to our surprise and delight, the staff all spoke at least some English. How amazing that while we didn't speak the native language of the place we were visiting, the staff was savvy enough to be able to service their "English only" guests. The place was spotless, the staff eager, kind, friendly, and surprisingly conversational. As soon as our server discovered we were "English only" she swapped out the menu. She was accommodating to my brothers dietary restrictions and our food arrived promptly. It was beautifully presented and delicious. I really do enjoy adventurous and local cuisine when I'm traveling but this place a delight and I'm happy to recommend it. Not especially adventurous but a delicious and decently priced meal in a friendly, clean and professionally staffed establishment.
