My favorite meal so far in the lake Como area, great staff, cool space, and delicious food!!

Tables are tucked here and there in this restaurant space between to small walking streets in Bellagio. We did not have a reservation but they were able to give us a table, even though it was busy. What a joy as our table was tucked inside where we could see the owner at the pizza oven and the friendly and kind servers interacting. We later learned 3 generations of family were working together and really, just enjoying life together. Our server was the granddaughter of the pizza master. We enjoyed the banter of father and son. It's all about La Familia and that is the sweet life. Food- now onto the food. We enjoyed bruschetta with beautiful, ripe tomatoes and garlicky goodness. We would order this again. My husband enjoyed the beef filet with potatoes and it was cooked perfectly and I enjoyed the fresh pasta bolognese. I ate every morsel. We would eat this meal again. Yet, after watching the master preparing pizza- it will be part of our next meal here.

    Eggplant Caponata...DELICIOUS!!

An amazing place to eat in bellagio. Very quick service with nice indoor seating. They also have a rooftop terrace if you want to be outdoors. The food was phenomenal. Flavorful and authentic. Very light as well.

Not as creamy as the pesto we enjoyed in Cinque Terre, but very satisfying.

The particular alley it was on was not as bustling as the others and the outdoor tables looked inviting as we passed by. We ended up dining inside, where we could be seated immediately. The decor was impressive and fun. We went with a local buckwheat noodle dish (pizzoccheri), which had a very unique and earthy flavor. Recommended to grind fresh pepper on it before enjoying. Worth trying if you're adventurous and want to familiarize yourself with the cuisine of the Valtellina valley. We also had a more classic red sauce pasta (lasagne al ragù di carne). Very thin, light, and elegant noodles in both dishes. An excellent portion size for lunch. Service was attentive and outstanding. Stop by for a quiet and delicious lunch in the busy little lakeside village of Bellagio.

We sat outside and ordered an Aperol Spritz ,made exceptionally well , along with a delicious platter of assorted cheeses and jams. There were several hard cheeses and several soft such as goat cheese with cherries. All so good . The pumpkin and pear jams were excellent and complimented the cheeses so well. This is a perfect spot to sit and unwind , highly recommended.

And the price was higher than other places you'd find -- when we went it was 4 euros for only one scoop, and in a cup only. The staff at the counter didn't speak English very well, despite this place being right next to the ferry drop off and in the center of the touristy area. They said pistachio is what most costumers get, but banana is their signature flavor. I tried banana and kiwi, and both were good flavor-wise but texture-wise was just so-so -- too runny. If you walk a few steps towards Salita Serbelloni and climb all the way to the top of the stairs and turn left, there's better and cheaper gelato at Gelateria del Borgo.

The scoop game is generous and they have a great variety of flavors. Feel free to sample them before you buy, but just know that it will be a tough choice since there are so many great options. I opted for a double scoop of banana and pistachio and this gelato was like a mini meal all by itself! Could not believe how incredibly rich and creamy this gelato was. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. The gelato bar is located right near the entrance to the restaurant and has its' own separate line and entrance, so you don't have to wait in the restaurant line. Not sure if the gelato customers are allowed to sit on the patio tables, but their patio provides the most beautiful view of Lake Como! If you're craving for gelato while in Bellagio, Splendide is THE spot! Ciao!

The cocktails are inventive, elevated, and layered with thought, yet the atmosphere is relaxed and elevated while also unpretentious. Andrea, the owner, is part mad scientist (he has his chemistry set in the front window) and part storyteller. He crafts flavor profiles with house-made natural extracts that feel both novel and perfectly balanced. We had a blast geeking out with him about spirits while Satish and the rest of the team kept the night lively with warm hospitality and a bit of history woven into every pour. The naturally flavored home made welcome apertif and little bites were a charming touch, but the real highlight was realizing this wasn't just a drink, it was a total experience.
