The retail cafe offers freshly brewed coffee, espresso drinks, signature lemonades, pastries, danish, sandwiches, fresh fruits, parfait, desserts, matcha, and juices. I ordered Southwest Chicken Salad ($11.50) and requested to sub the vinaigrette for the Asian Chicken Salad's Thai peanut dressing. Adriana is so nice to accommodate, I appreciate it! Southwest Chicken Salad has fresh mixed greens, tender chicken, black beans, corn, cherry tomatoes, pepper jack cheese, and jicama strips. The salad is premade, portions seemed smaller than what I got from the Retail Cafe at the Palazzo. It comes with a side of honey lime vinaigrette, and the dressing tastes very much like tangy BBQ sauce. Honestly, this dressing doesn't go well with the salad. I'm really glad I asked for the Thai peanut dressing, which has an appealing flavor and yummy! It's mild and has a delightful sweetness that complements perfectly with crunchy jicama, so good and delicious! Service from Adriana is very kind, welcoming, polite, and friendly. She was patient and courteous, answered questions I had about the juices, and even mentioned they're very sweet. I was able to get complimentary water to enjoy with my salad, it was good!

It opened at the end of 2017, and I've been coming regularly from LA to Black Tap in LV for over eight years. Whether biz or pleasure (or both), it's a great place to go while you are in town. Now they have locations all over the world, a few of which I've been to; but Vegas is my favorite location of theirs by far. (But to be fair, I've never been to the OG in Soho!) Everything you see, taste, hear and feel at any Black Tap is fresh, fun and somehow eerily familiar. Good music. Good people. Great food. Great beer. Almost like a cool neighborhood tavern or favorite restaurant that you often go to in your own hometown. But not too cool or not too hip. Not snooty. Down to earth. Warm and welcoming. That all comes in handy whether you've had a good day or a bad day at the tables, or elsewhere, whatever reasons may bring you to Vegas. Having a good mood? It keeps you going. Having a bad day? It won't be any longer if you come here. It's a blast and rewarding every time you go no matter who you are or what you've been doing. For example, a relatively new bartender (Brianna) on my last visit here a couple weeks ago (for lunch this time) handled a crowded bar like she'd been working at Black Tap for years. Bars get busy. Patrons want service. Customers aren't always the most patient. Regardless, she handled a demanding lunchtime crowd, including me, with such charming personality, skill, and hard work. She was truly grace under pressure. My glasses were never empty. My plates had what they were supposed to. And all tasted awesome as you come to expect once you come here -- all with the positive mood, vibes and overall atmosphere you come here to enjoy.
