Banatella pancakes
Alberto R.

Such a great place. Food is soooo good with some slight European additions to American favorites. The juice is fresh and the lemonades. The pancakes are fluffy and filling. The blueberry pancakes are generously covered in blueberry compote. The Banatella pancakes are great with Nutella on top like frosting on a cake and bananas

This restaurant was recommended by the staff at my hostal. I tried the fruit pancake at the first day when there was an pancake day offer, and avocado toast the other day. They were both super yummy with fresh and high quality ingredients. And the size was so large for me that I put it to go and become the next quick meal.

Great spot for Americans looking for a more traditional and familiar breakfast. We really enjoyed our food and the staff was kind and welcoming too. I got an omelet with pancakes. Definitely recommend to anyone!

Friendly service. Nice little cafe that serves American style breakfast. The French fries and yummy and I enjoyed the cheesy grilled cheese.

Poor service. French toast soggy, bacon nearly unchewable, eggs runny, potatoes tasteless. Maybe I just ordered the wrong items!

Bernie's is one of the better options located near the Gothic Quarter in Barcelona. But it really is only one of the better ones because a lot of other "American" establishments are bad. You really make due with what you have. Their milkshakes are good. Nice and creamy but not too heavy. I had the chocolate milkshake and was a fan. My GF had their strawberry cheesecake milkshake and it was good, but tasted more like just strawberry than strawberry cheesecake. T-bone steak tasted similar to a decent american diner and it hit the spot. Their ribs are absolutely horrible though. They were overcooked, dry, bland, and slathered in a bad BBQ sauce. Do come if you miss home, but don't come expecting an amazing meal.

We couldn't eat it. - The fries were as bland as fries can be. No seasoning, and like rubber. - The patatas bravas were literally just plain steak fries. Also no seasoning but most importantly no bravas sauce or aioli. - The banana milkshake was mostly milk. Vanilla wasn't bad. - Banana split was pretty good, but it's hard to mess up scoops of ice cream and toppings. The woman who took my order wasn't rude by any means, but she was cold and almost seemed bothered to be dealing with an American even though I spoke mostly in Spanish. If you're really desperate for American food in Barcelona, I guess you can find worse, but if you have time, I'd go elsewhere. For what it's worth, the atmosphere was cool. Good music and aesthetic. Place was clean.

They could benefit from a bit more banana or fresh fruit to balance out the stack, especially given the size of the dish. The English breakfast was excellent, well-cooked and satisfying, and the side of chorizo stood out as particularly flavorful. Coffee was genuinely perfect, easily one of the highlights of the meal. The overall vibe is a classic European café style, relaxed and comfortable, good for a casual sit-down breakfast or brunch. One important note: this is not a place for traditional Spanish food. If you are looking for local Catalan or Spanish breakfast or tapas, this will feel more international than authentic. Overall, strong for coffee and comfort food, but not aligned with a traditional Barcelona culinary experience.good service and free WiFi

Great service is little to say, these guys make you feel like you're visiting their living room, and they will treat you like family. 5 star service every time, while the ambiance is well lit, always spotless clean and the amount of people at top capacity feels good. Epic! Actually I'm going there for breakfast right now! :) thanks again!

Note, if you make reservations via the fork you can get 20% off the a la carte menu. Eva was our server and she was wonderful. She checked on us frequently to see if we needed anything and would refill our water. Shestarted us off with a drink called chica mirada which my friend said tasted like potpourri but in a good way because it was flavorful. Then we were brought out bread with oil and this unique salt that made the bread pop. I ordered the duck meatball with pears and hazelnut praline for my entree. I think there was five per order. It was not very filling but very tasty and moist. The pear and praline added a touch of sweetness. For dessert, my friend and I split the Chocolate and Caramel Puffs. It was delectable. The puffs were warm and soft and the chocolate just melted right into my mouth. The service and food was great. Highly recommend.

Chicken croquets, Beef tortellini, foie gras, steak tartare, and the fillet were all superb. The foie gras was my favorite. Well executed. I am often disappointed when I order it Our server, Romaysa, was extremely helpful, friendly and attentive. She gave us several tourist tips too. Desserts did not disappoint. We had the Mousse de creme catalone and the carob and almond coulant. Both were very good. The coulant was worth the wait. It takes 15 minutes to prepare-worth it!

While passing through Barcelona on our way to the south of Spain, we decided to stay for a night…read moreand have ourselves a memorable dinner. We decided to visit Llamber a tapas restaurant on the outskirt of Park de la Ciutadella. The restaurant has a light and airy ambiance, the tables are decently spaced for a more private conversation. We then started with a bottle of Spanish Rosé together with some tapas to share. We had the patitas, black pearl oyster served with rock salt and mignonette and the chef's take on a Spanish bao bun. We found the pork belly flavorful and crispy and blended well with the bun, in hindsight we should have ordered one for each. For our main entree, I ordered paella with seared tuna while my partner chose Entrocôte served with shishito peppers and fries. We found all the dishes simply epicurean and the waiters took time to describe everything on the menu. It was well plated and the dishes came in a timely fashion and everything went well with the wine choice. We felt that we were looked after throughout the stages of the dinner. With great customer service and quality of food, this place is recommended whenever you are visiting the beautiful city of Barcelona.

I absolutely LOVED Llamber…read more We stopped by this restaurant mid-afternoon for a quick bite . . . and a few quick drinks, and were very satisfied with the food, cocktails, and service. Since we had dinner plans for later in the evening, we went with a couple of tapas and gin-based cocktails. Para comer, we had the croquetes, tartar de remolatxa, bunyols de bacallà, and everything was pretty awesome. If I had to order our dishes from the best to good, it would go the bunyols, tartar, and the croquetes. Overall, the service was pretty good. One weird part of our experience: the restaurant had outdoor seating, but we were told that all of the tables were reserved so we had to eat indoors. That was not a problem. My concern was that in the entire time that we were dining (about an hour or so), we did not see a single person use any of the tables.
