This was one of the first tapas places in Stockholm wasn't it? The waiter we had was extremely warm and friendly. He just had a good vibe. The feel of the place was also nice -- dim candlelight and little coves for seating between walls and pillars. I can see how this would be a warm, cozy spot in the winter. Thus ends the positives for me.
Food was very, very mediocre. The gambas dish was okay but not enough garlic for me, everything else was just kind of boring (9 dishes, so they had their chance). I was impressed by nothing, food wise. Thus it goes to say that this place is overpriced in my book. They brought ALL of our tapas out at once. I didn't like that at all. To me, tapas should come out one by one so every dish has its moment in the sun. Instead we were overwhelmed for space at our table. The place was also extremely loud. Maybe it was the position of our table, or the group beside us, or the fact that I happened to be dining with quieter people, but I was constantly thinking about going and having a beer at some other place where I could hear the conversation I was having.
Two stars for the food. Four stars for our excellent waiter. Three-point-five stars for the atmosphere. I would return only if I was with a group of people that really wanted to go. I wouldn't recommend anyone go here -- the tapas are just not that good and thus way overpriced. That being said, if you end up here it's not like you will hate the place. read more
