The crepes were fresh and had a good flavor. The wait staff was very nice and attentive. I had the smoked salmon roll, which I would highly recommend. If ever in Ags and like crepes, stop by this place. read more

The drinks were TINY and twice the price of other establishments. Although the place has ambiance and character, it's simply not worth enduring the terrible, rude service and overpriced, shabby drinks. Guanajuato is a lovely city, and the entire trip apart this dump, was a pleasant experience. The Clave Azul does a hug disservice to a Guanajuato- DO BETTER!

Los Campos is a highly rated restaurant in Guanajuato. We decided to visit for dinner only to…read morediscover it was only us as diners. Normally, this would cause a red flag but perhaps it was early or an off night. Los Campos is located on the south-eastern side of Centro Historico district and is an easy walk from Jardin de la Union. What drew us to Los Campos was the referenced diversity of their menu. My companion eats chicken and fish, while I am a vegan and plant-based. Their menu has multiple vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. While the flavors were pretty good, it was the plate presentation that was exceptional and we both felt that Los Campos was a little too pretentious for us. I was limited to order the Chaminones con Mezcal. Mushrooms flambeed in Mezcal with orange zest and dried chile. My wife, although not excited to try, did have the Burrito de Cerdo Ahumado en Salsa Colorado. It wasn't that Los Campos was too fancy, it was more like we, as diners, were more comfortable in other settings. We would suspect that diners from the United States or from Europe would fall in love with the avant-garde interiors and plate presentations. From all accounts, that all seems to be true, it's just our style. Our food was good and was plated expertly and I don't have any issues recommending Los Campos for a romantic dinner out for a couple.

Walk right into the lobby and the front desk will radio up to announce your arrival (or figure out if there's space up there for you). Then walk up a couple flights of stairs to the open air rooftop terrace. They have menus in both English and Spanish, both paper and QR. They will set you up with the wifi password if you ask. A breakfast set comes with fruit, a baby pancake, coffee and juice, and your choice of entree. My partner had pork chilaquiles in red sauce - it was really tasty; if you like meat, that's an option to try. I had the tortilla espanola with goat cheese and caramelized onion; this is a Spanish-style potato and egg omelette/casserole. It was downright dang amazing! It was a hefty portion and I had them pack my leftover for me to take to the airport afterwards because no way was I wasting a crumb of that!!! The with a side salad that came with it was an after thought. Our waiter and his colleague were good and attentive. Really enjoyable breakfast. P.S. the leftovers were eaten at the BJX airport with plastic forks from airport burger place. I was still drooling over it at the airport. If you come for breakfast, definitely try the tortilla espanola - queso de cabra y cebollas caramelizada!

I came here for breakfast with my family, a group of thirty, as part of a celebration of a cousin's birthday. The desayuno (brunch) menu is broad with eggs, enchiladas, chilaquiles, waffles and hot cakes. Carne asada too. The drinks menu is broad. I went with the carne asada that cane with chilaquiles, eggs and refried beans. The portion of beef, while very good, was skimpy. On the other hand the scrambled eggs and chilaquiles were excellent. Unfortunately, the beans were bland and dried out. I recommend the naranjada (orange juice) that comes blended with seltzer water. Oddly, it seems decaf coffee is default, you have to make a special request for regular coffee (which is wickedly strong). Refills cost extra, but none were offered anyway. I do give props to Los Olivos for being able to handle large groups pretty well though the time between when the first order arrived till the last one came was around 45 minutes. In recap, food and service were okay, but just not impressive.

The Guayaba drink was delicious and fulfilling. The taste of guava here is better than the U.S. Guava. Naturally sweeter and it was smooth. No problems at all! The Milanesa Torta was so delicious. The beef was cooked well and almost crunchy feeling. I only got to eat half of it because it was so much! It didn't look that big, but once you start eating it, it fills you up quickly!
