    Nutella Crepe

This place is so good! A friend of mine got the Nutella one and she called it "Nutella heaven" and I got the pesto and chicken one, which was so good I couldn't even take a picture. The workers were super nice and I talked to them a bit! The inside is nice and a good area to get work done while eating a meal :)

I might not have understood the item but the Crepe Suzette was underwhelming and overall disappointing. The Crepe was too thick, the orange marmalade didn't pair well with the thick chewiness of the Crepe. They also poured some kind of sauce on top of it that tasted like alcohol (I'm not sure if that's basically what it was or if it was supposed to mimic that) however, it ruined the whole crepe including the whipped cream that was on top of it. Next time, I'm getting a different crepe. Maybe a savory one that my friend recommended. The cashier also forgot to ask me if I was ok with the extra charge for whipped cream. I think they were in training because after I paid, a guy whispered to the cashier telling them to do so. The person behind me was asked if they were ok with the add on.

Even before I started chasing magic curry carts, amuse bouche carts and creme brulee carts, there was my very first food cart. I was still a student at Davis, part of a normal routine when I was pulling an all nighter was work through the night on campus in Walker hall, usually after making my deadlines, I would reward myself by making my way over to the Silo grab a cup of coffee, and got to the crepe cart, at this station it's different from the campus, he was actually with another company, so I didn't have some college student making my crepe. The one guy I really liked was this very friendly frenchman. (michael) He would always greet me warmly with a smile, and always knew I was coming for his crepe suzette, I loved the zesty aroma of the oranges, the sweetness of the sugar encased in a thin but fluffy crepe that is slowly absorbing the carmelly, sweet smokeyness from the Grand Marnier that he generously splashes on. Each bite was almost a fluffy cloud of heaven, and almost made me forgot all the stress I was dealing with moments earlier. A feeling of warm content washes over my body and maybe from the sleep deprivation, or maybe it's the booze, or even a combination of the too, still having this little nightcap before I go to bed feels great. And yes I am aware it's only 1:00 pm... These days, while my all-nighters have almost come to an end, my cravings for another crepe suzette has not. Im sure it may taste different now, compared to how Im remembering it, still I won't forget my first food cart experience.

My second year at Davis and I've not been to a lot of crepe places here. Situated at Silo, it is close to where my classes are. I usually come here to get a quick bite and of course their dessert crepe. I usually order Nutella banana crepe. The crepe is pretty good and the price is around $4-$10. If you have Aggie cash, you can get 10% off!! No Aggie cash? You can top up at Silo Market

Kathmandu with mango chutney is what I ordered. I would give this place a 3.5 but I'm sticking with 3 because yelp says 3 is "A-ok" and I like this place but i'm not a real fan because I don't really come back that often. The menu items taste exactly like what they sound, and you dont get anymore than that. That is a good and bad thing, since they have no super unique thing to their crepes that get you hooked or coming back solely to them. I enjoy how they do have wheat crepe as an option, and the flavor of the crepes are good. You get a good balance of flavors. It's a good place for students to get crepes if they do not want to talk to crepeville.

I love that the chef is actually from France and he is fun to chat with in French! Best crepes I have had in America. This place is a priority whenever I am in Davis or on campus!

This location is centrally located on campus at the silo. The Crepes are very filling and they have a variety of different fillings and options for veggie lovers as well. I ordered the Kathmandu crepe , it has chicken, mushrooms, and topped with 2 sauces , a curry sauce and a sweet sauce. This is my favorite crepe here that I've tried, the sauce is not too sweet , perfect combo to eat with the crepe . The size of the Crepes are decent , well your money's worth ~7 dollars and they make it fresh in front of you as you wait , fresh warm Crepes are guaranteed ! The staff is very friendly , during school the line gets kind of long and it's about a 5-10 minute wait for the food depending on how busy they are. They tend to close early around 4pm , best advice is to go around 1 or 2 when the lunch time rush has calmed down .

Delicious savory and sweet crepes, best if eaten on site (eg the side salad wilts on the way home). Plenty of bicycle parking nearby.

As for the food, it was a bit of a mixed experience. The salad was fairly basic and didn't leave much of an impression. However, the salmon was the standout of the evening--perfectly cooked, tender, and paired beautifully with the capers, which added just the right amount of flavor to the dish. The dessert was a bit underwhelming and didn't quite end the meal on a high note. On a future visit, I would likely opt for a different dessert. Even so, the inviting atmosphere and well-executed entrée make this a place I'd consider returning to. Overall, its great setting for a romantic evening, with a few menu items shining brighter than others.

However, when we arrived, the restaurant was surprisingly empty, and we anticipated a quiet, relaxed evening. We started with the half oysters and salmon tartare, and for our entrées, I had the lamb chops while my boyfriend ordered the duck confit. For drinks, he had sweet iced tea and I had Tito's with soda. The food was excellent--flavorful, well-prepared, and generously portioned. That said, I'm giving three stars primarily due to the service and ambiance. Our server (whose name I unfortunately forgot) was very friendly but not attentive, especially considering how slow the restaurant was. He didn't check on us after delivering our meals, and my boyfriend had to request a refill on his iced tea. Additionally, the bartender was loudly sharing what sounded like personal stories with another guest, to the point where it disrupted the atmosphere. We could barely hear ourselves talk. When dining out--especially for a special occasion--we were hoping for a more peaceful environment where we could enjoy a quiet conversation. While the décor is elegant and inviting, the overall experience didn't quite match the setting. I would return for the food alone, but I hope improvements are made in service and ambiance. Also, given how slow the evening was, the food took longer than expected to come out.

We dined here for our first time yesterday, and I can't believe it took us this long to finally try it out. We had reservations for 7:30pm and arrived a bit early. We were offered to have drinks at the bar which we happily obliged. We don't recall the name of the lady who made our drinks, but she was great and clearly is top notch at her craft. My wife got the White Lotus and I had the Thai NAgarita (adult non alcoholic). My wife absolutely LOVED her drink and I also did. We were seated shortly after getting our drinks and seamlessly moved us to our table. Our server was great, again drawing a blank on her name. We ended up getting the Soup de Saison which was a creamy potato soup, sorry for my lack of ability to explain it correctly. It was absolutely phenomenal. Being able to take a soup as simple as potato and make it have the flavor it did blew our minds. We also got the Fava Bean Dip which comes with two pita bread. This dish was fantastic. We would order both again and again, but will have to try other Starters next time because we know everything will be amazing. For our entrees my wife ordered the English Pea Vareniki and I the Pan Roasted Alaskan Halibut. We both were extremely happy with our dishes. I tried the Vareniki and it was delicious. Again, we would both order these over and over. Mind blown. For dessert we got the Tarte Au Citron and also the special which was a Strawberry Pavlova. The Tarte was absolutely delicious and would get it again and again. The Strawberry Pavlova was hands down the best dessert dish we have ever had in our lives. We do love strawberries so that helps, but everything about it was out of this world. If it is available when we go, we will order it every time. Overall an amazing experience and loved the ambiance and old building feel. Definitely an Auburn vibe which we love. I have seen a lot of complaints about the noise, but once again, those are people I don't care to be around. It is sort of a smaller restaurant with people having a good time, so if you are people who are snotty and complain about some noise and others talking and laughing enjoying themselves, don't come here. Well done Restaurant Josephine. Absolutely phenomenal!

When we first stepped through the door, the aromas hit me with a punch in the best kind of way, if there is such a thing. The restaurant has limited space and was full when we arrived, so it was a bit loud and tight, but I have to admit, even though we were extremely close to our restaurants mates, it felt like we were in our own intimate bubble. Our server, Eric, was so kind and wasn't shy about sharing his favorites. We started with an asparagus salad with puréed black garlic and frisée that was flavorful and unique. It is so refreshing to see more than just roasted or steamed asparagus on a menu. For our mains, Rob ordered the Crispy "Iron" Half Chicken, and I ordered the Yukon Gold Potato Vareniki. Typically, we don't order food that I make well at home such as chicken and salmon, however, with Eric's recommendation, Rob landed on the chicken. It was the perfect crisp on the outside without being fried, and the perfect moist on the inside. It was served on a piece of grilled toast with garlic puree that was unexpectedly good. The Yukon Gold Potato Vareniki, are tiny pillows of potato filled deliciousness surrounded by a small pool of earthy brown sauce with chestnut mushrooms and cipollini onions. This dish feels like home that I can eat over and over again. We ended our evening with an almond cake with a citrus sherbet and sliced almonds. I loved the chew of the crispy outside and soft inside. Mixed with the sliced almonds and sherbet, it was as pretty perfect as a dessert can be. While the space is a little tight, the vibe is unexpected and delightful. I cannot wait to go back and try more dishes. This will be a regular on our rotation.

Perfect ambiance to sit, drink, eat and enjoy a beautiful sunset. We started with The Morel mushroom tartare, which is morel mushrooms, with an egg, shallots and chives oil over a perfectly well toasted sourdough. Delicious! The steak tartare did not disappoint either. Great balance of flavor between the two. The mushroom earthy flavors along with a light hint of pesto from the morel tartare really balanced out the richness from the steak tartare. The pickled figs served with in the steak tartare really called my attention as they were delicious as well. The salad was a great portion size for a meal (or to share as a side), it was perfectly dressed, and the toppings were proportional & balanced. One of the better salads I've had out! The smoked salmon was good but nothing to write home about. Their house chips are nice and thick, which I like, but a little too salty for me.
