Happened to pop in twice with two different types of crowds…read more First night came in with my younger cousins and sat at the bar. Rest of the family was home cooking dinner so we were really just grabbing a beverage and an app to split. There was live music, had a very difficult time understanding what he was singing even though we knew the songs. Bartender was very chill and did a great job. Place was busy so reservations would be ideal rather than popping in. Second night the other half of my family came for dinner. We had an appetizer of buffalo cauliflower which was good. I enjoyed my shepherds pie, grandfather liked his fish & chips (which I seen a lot of people order the night before). My uncle had chicken wings while my cousin had chicken sandwich, both were pleased with their meals as well. I imagine there is a lot of traffic from the hotel in the same plaza. Parking can be very difficult later in the evening. One thing that aggravated me was the lack of care to keep a clean sidewalk free if ice and snow. I say this because my girlfriend is disabled and where the handicap parking spot is the ramp and the sidewalk leading to the main entrance was covered in snow. Not only that anyone who is elderly would have difficulties walking as well.

MC is the best! Wonderful selection on tap, super comfortable and casual. Hope to visit again soon!read more

This place reminded me of a proper chippy in London. The place isn't the biggest, but it utilizes…read morethe space extremely well with high seats and two person tables towards the back. The place is spotless. But we don't care about that, right? My wife and I both got the 2 piece cod and we shared a basket of popcorn shrimp. We ate every bite of both. I washed it down with an ice cold beer. My toddler even got in on the action and ate some of our fish and chips. I'm not a big tarter sauce guy, but this one really complimented the cod and malt vinegar. To top it off, the service was fantastic. No complaints. This is on my list of places to revisit when I return to Montréal

I tried this for lunch today. I was seated in a good size sidewalk covered patio... Other than the…read morefire engine and ambulance that responded to a call about a block past me, not too much street noise... I ordered the traditional fish & chips (3 piece) in cod. The fries, er chips were a generous portion and not too greasy. The fish was also well cooked, but they were a little too greasy... It was served with slaw and mushy peas. I would have liked to add a cup of chowder, but alas, no joy... My server was great, no issues whatsoever. She made some suggestions and inquired about my travel plans and offered some tips on what see and what to avoid... Overall 4.5/5 The Guinness was also bomb!!

This is the first time I've been to this place, despite having visited Knowlton many times. My…read moresister had been here previously so she was the one who recommended it. We drove over for a late lunch and chose to sit outside on the patio as it was a lovely, windy day, which helped cut down the heat. It was a bit busy so we didn't have to wait too long for a menu. There is a QR code at the entrance to access the menu. If you're unable to access it because of a lack of wifi your server will type in the password for you. We sat in the far corner so we could watch the traffic on Chemin de Knowlton. Our server (I'm so sorry I forgot her name but she was accommodating, friendly and, of course, bilingual. We both ordered the red beer on tap and fish & chips, which was plentiful and really good. Québec's french fries/frittes are like no other in the world & only those of us born in the province know this. There's a distinct sweetness to the taste that can't be compared elsewhere. The fish (cod) was crispy on the outside & tender on the inside. The Cole slaw was crunchy & sweet. This was probably the only place that didn't have or get asked if we wanted water. Didn't see any on the tables close by either. This place hasn't been reviewed in quite a long time and not all reviews are positive, so I wanted to make sure they get put back on the positive side. Merci à tout la gang.
