This is my second time using Suncrest Landscape and once again they exceeded expectations…read more Troy (the owner) was great to work with from start to finish. He and his team put down fresh bark in both the front and back yard, trimmed all the plants and trees, removed weeds, and cleaned up several non-conforming shrubs that had gotten out of control. The entire job took about 4-5 hours, and the transformation was noticeable immediately. What I appreciate most is their professionalism and efficiency. They show up on time, work hard, and leave everything looking clean and sharp. No mess left behind -- just a yard that looks dialed in. If you're looking for reliable landscaping work and want it done right the first time, I highly recommend Suncrest Landscape. I'll definitely be using them again.

His communication is excellent, and he does what he says he will. Troy and his team landscaped our backyard--transforming it from dirt and rocks into a beautiful and functional space for our family. Troy gave us great suggestions to get the most out of our small square footage. He also prepared all the documentation we needed to get HOA approval for the project. He started and completed the project on time and kept us informed along the way, so we knew exactly what would be happening at our home each day. Troy's team were skilled and meticulous in their work. They also were friendly and considerate of us and our home--a pleasure to have around. They took care in their work and cleaned up at the end of each workday. Troy genuinely cared about making our yard work for our family--he treats each yard as his own. We could not be happier with the end result or with our experience working with Troy. We would hire Suncrest again for any project and recommend them unreservedly.

I was undecided as to what I should do with my front yard. We met to discuss ideas that would work in my yard. I now have the most unusual yet very pretty yard because she gave me all the tools to decide what I wanted and then implemented them. Sheri knows what works and what doesn't; how to balance plants and trees in a yard; what plants work with others. You can't go wrong with all the knowledge she has in her little head.

I contacted Sheri for ideas & she came up with a plan that perfectly suited our needs. Her ideas & designs are not "cookie-cutter" & she listens to what you like & don't like. After deciding on the design, she & her crew came in to start the preparation & install and wow, were they ever efficient! I can't say enough good things about how the whole project progressed & it is abundantly clear that all on Sheri's team knows what to do & how to do it. I now have 2 beautiful ledgestone planting areas plus all the plants I have ever wanted. Sheri's knowledge about how to place things & what works & doesn't work is beyond incredible. I would recommend X-scape Gardens to anyone looking for a beautiful landscape without any hesitation whatsoever. I love my yard! Sue McD Folsom, CA

Brought his measuring unicycle and didn't measure a thing. Of the 4-5 landscapers that have come already, I am getting written estimates from all of them. This company either sent someone with no experience, my project is overwhelming, or ?? Very bizarre. To be clear, the other landscapers also offer the design aspect, and they/I plan on doing the design piece. I am just looking for estimates first along with meeting you and feeling your enthusiasm for the project. After meeting and texting with you, and reviewing your photos, my job may have been out of scope for you. I wanted a lot of fun stuff; bocce ball, basketball, inground trampoline, and a lot of ground cover and plants. I will give 4 stars instead of three, as I posted all of my wants in my Yelp request, so my expectation is that you will come ready.

Wow, I can't say enough good about this organization. Owner Junior Santana met with me back in May,…read moreto look at my front yard and have some conversation about where we might want to go with it. This was a yard that had been through the wringer, drought, voles, irrigation breaks. Had pretty much deteriorated to a large weed patch. Large yard, too, probably close to 2500 square feet. I have a nice looking home otherwise, so, it was making me crazy. Junior impressed me right away, very professional and knows his sh*t. I saw no reason to get any other quotes. We talked, he took some pics and measurements, and we shook hands and agreed to work together. I put together some drawings of how I wanted the design, we met again, flushed some things out and agreed on a plan. He provided me a very concise and clear written quote, I signed, and we agreed on a start time a little later in the summer, better for both of us. End of August, they got started, and BAM, they were on it. These guys are awesome, hard working, smart, focused, and absolutely know how to maximize their time. What they accomplished in two weeks is still mindblowing to me. I have mostly worked things by myself, around the house, and this would have taken me a whole summer to get done, maybe longer. Everything came out exactly as planned. It looks soooo great, absolutely exceeded my expectations. I can't stress how much I enjoyed the process of just watching it all come together. Turf, Rock, Stone, Plantings, all of it looks so good. DLH was a pleasure to work with every step. Much thanks to Junior and all of the guys for all of their effort. If there is a next project, there will only be one call I make, to Diamond Landscape Hardscape. Bob Y. Diamond Springs, CA. Sept. 2025

BUYER BEWARE. We entered into an agreed upon contract for spring maintenance/refresh of plants,…read morewith a cash price and non-cash price, and agree to the lower cash price. Ahmad did not finish the project on time, and we warned/went out of town on a scheduled trip while he continued the job. While we were gone he demanded final payment for our sight-unseen job, at which time we said that 1. we would not pay the final payment until we saw the completed work and 2. we obviously could not pay cash since we were out of town. When we returned, he had not planted all of the agreed upon plants, had not completely covered the mulch/dressing as agreed to, and had not trimmed all of the plants. This began a back and forth where he said that the job required more labor and supplies than he bid (bait & switch) and he now he would charge us the non-cash/higher price even though he did not complete the job, let alone while we were in town to even be able to to pay cash. After listing with photos the job's outstanding issues, he suggested a lower price which we immediately paid just to be done with this terrible experience. A week later there were irrigation issues a which he replied "I am not warrantying any work since you did not pay full price". He never returned to fix any of these issues, and we have since found out from associated contractors on our site that he typically overcharges and underbids to get jobs. We only recommend to others to NOT use this contractor.

Eh. Small business. Seemed honest. I knew it was a gamble…read morewith only 24 reviews on here. 2025: Got a bid for job 1. Price was so good asked for bid for job 2. Agreed to proceed with one bid at a time. Glad I did that. BTW bids came in far lower than other competitors. Now I know why. I'm not going to bash the experience with detail, but here's something to note: Skeleton crew. The regular down to earth blue collar workers they were had me trusting them but I found myself constantly asking questions as after the contract was signed, communication slowed drastically. I thought more detail would be discussed. Think this particular job was out of their lane and, to me, they left it incomplete/did the bare minimum/ couldn't wait to get outta there. They also were random in their work schedule. Sometimes there for half a day then you wouldn't see em for days. It took at least double the time projected. Thought maybe it could be a fluke as there were some noticeable issues with the business which seemed out of their control, so asked for some updates to job 1 bid. I was assured a bid would be revised/sent, but ironically, I cut the final check for the job completed, then I was ghosted. Tried to give this business benefit of the doubt, but they constantly showed red flags. Hey if you like letting a businesses take full control of your project, its basic and you don't really care about detail, this is a business for you. A lot of the photos show very basic 101 jobs completed on here. Hope everyone learns something from my experience.

First of many problems: the watering controller he installed did not work properly from the get-go. I told Pete about it and requested a receipt for the controller (it was the end of the job so he wasn't planning to return). Instead he came out and fiddled with the controller and said it works fine. He left and it still didn't water according to the settings so he came out again (after the job was completed) and fiddled some more, saying again there was nothing wrong with the controller. He never gave me a receipt, so as the same problem kept occurring, I finally had to replace it. Because Pete never gave me a receipt (I suspect he used a controller he had sitting around, and not a new one for my job, however he told me it was "professional grade" and cost $300), I couldn't return it and had to spend more money on the new controller. Very irritating. Irrigation system and planting: I asked him to add on to the existing drip irrigation system and bring water to several fruit trees and numerous new shrubs I requested that he put in. However he installed 1 gal. drippers to everything, whether it was a large existing fruit tree or a new small shrub. Fruit trees require a lot more water...Pete told me he was an arborist so he should know the right amount of water fruit trees need. Now I'm having to switch out these drippers myself to something that provides adequate water. Again not something I should have to be doing. I requested all cascading rosemary shrubs in numerous locations. He installed half cascading rosemary and half something else (I don't know the name...he didn't provide any tags). My bad for not saying something at the time, as I thought the additional color might be pretty. Well, the other plants he selected COMPLETELY took over the area covering the slower growing cascading rosemary. Now I have to tear some of those plants out and put them elsewhere, so that I can see the plants I requested in the first place. Some of the new plants he put in began to die after a while so I looked a little closer to figure out why. Half the root system was above ground...the hole was not dug nearly deep enough! I tried to correct this but unfortunately the plants were too far gone so my effort was not in time. Finally, I asked Pete to shore up some fence posts that were lagging. It was a picket fence surrounding a small patch of my front yard. I asked him to go around and check each post. I am too trusting...I assumed he had done that. However, he only shored up 4 fence posts and not the posts on either side of the gate, the ones that needed attention the most. Overall, I am pretty unhappy with the job this company did for me. I read other reviews stating how detail oriented Pete was for them...He did not pay attention to the details of my landscaping project, and I'm not sure he dealt honorably with me about the controller problem. I would not recommend him/his company.
