After a 4 day 3 night stay in at this hotel I was quite disappointed in the amenities. While the place is gorgeous, great pictures can be taken here and the esthetic is on point there isn't much else to rave about. Their tequila tour and tasting is very similar to all the other ones around. The service in the restaurants was horrible each time we went to eat. Food took forever to come out with several mistakes and them not putting in orders for the whole table. While I understand we were a group of 6, we always ordered straight from the menu without modifications and they just had so many issues. Additionally many of us had no hot water in our rooms and were charged for "dirty" towels upon check out. Overall it was beautiful but not worth the hassle of staying their.

We were not 100% sure to travel because of COVID, but I'm telling you, IT WAS AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!!! They have a whole new protocol to enter the facilities, everything clean, eco-friendly, and without losing its rustic touch !! My mom, my uncle and I stayed at this wonderful hotel, and we just LOVE THE CONCEPT OF BARRELS! IT'S UNIQUE!!! We were supposed to check in at 8pm, but we spoke to the concierge to see if they could received us later, they waited for us until 12 in the night!! He even explained how everything work, the tour, the restaurant, great customer service!! Since we booked just one day before traveling, it was a bit expensive, but it's 100% WORTH IT!! When you stay here they include the tour and unique tequila tasting !! There was a very nice guy named Afredain at the reception of the tours, we thought we had missed the tour because we were a little late, but he helped us and took us to where the tour had already started. And our tour guide Saúl, he was just something from another world !! Super friendly, funny and professional, you can see that he loves and knows about his work, he made my mom love tequila when she couldn't stand it We even ended up buying 20 bottles at the boutique with Jazmín, who also got us a unique book on the History of the Cofradia! We would have liked to spend more time to go to the underground restaurant, thanks to Saul, we got to see a bit of it and it looks just beautiful! Mini tip: if you have a car, when registering, do not forget to ask for the pendant that shows that you are staying, the security guy in the booth can be a bit "rude" in this regard. The free margarita that comes as a gift at the end of the tour is delicious !!!

Amazing experience. We stayed at their new hotel; Matices de Barricas. The rooms resemble a tequila barrel and are very nice, independently decorated. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Our stay included; 24 hours shuttle to town. They take you and pick you up, a tour of their factory, and a tequila tasting. They gave us a tequila bottle to place tequila in, hand painted! And a paper mache figure of a jimador, an adorable and unique way to say thank you for staying. It also included breakfast. It was good but there are too many flies. In the rooms, as it can be expected in a rural area, were some bugs. In general, we enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be going back to the town of Tequila and this amazing hotel.

Hacienda La Cofradia is a tequila distillery, boutique hotel, restaurant, event space, and art gallery all in one! The tour consisted of exploring all the aforementioned. And ours was free since our group of 14 purchased a good amount of bottles, and four people where hotel guests. Call ahead of time to schedule your tour and tasting. And don't forget to ask about any specials. (They were running a special: buy two bottles get one free.)

Place is very nice tons of things to do and see walk around came in got sanitized right after going in the gate but check in is not organized had 2 other people check in before we did and we were waiting for a while before them also thought I check out the covers and bed and noticed there was hairs on the pillowand stains wtf!!! So I dont even think they change the sheets unless its needed young kid that takes you to the room is very nice and knowledgeable overall I don't think we will come back to this establishment too many little things wrong and not having a clean bed to sleep on thats just the worse floor is probably cleaner then the bed this place has potential ...for you to catch something only reason it got 2 stars is the nice kid

We took Superior Tours' Private Tour: Tequila Cultural Day Trip from Puerto Vallarta. Based on our date and time preferences, Astrid, with whom I booked the tour, recommended and reserved a private English language tour for us at La Cofradia. This is a beautiful property, including a bar/restaurant and hotel (there is an option to stay overnight-- which we did not) in addition to the distillery. We took a very informative and fun tour of the grounds, where we learned about the agave plant, the distilling process, how to drink tequila properly (legit!), and of course tasted several varieties. The most amazing part of the tour (aside from tasting the agave piña itself) was touring the facility where La Cofradia casts, fires, and hand paints the most beautiful bottles. They were so amazing we bought two (and some beautiful shot glasses) to display in our home as mementos of the trip. I would highly recommend visiting La Cofradia If you are in Puerto Vallarta or Guadalajara.

We were tired from a long day of travel and our brains were working a little slow. Our server were kind, patient, and offered suggestions but not in an overly pushy kind of way. And the items they suggested were not the MOST expensive on the menu. Our server asked us what we were in the mood for and suggested some dishes for us to share. She was spot on. We started with queso fundido with Spanish sausages and some guacamole with chips. For mains we had the Torta Haogada () and Carne en su Jugo () (traditional tequila beef stew). Both were EXACTLY what we needed after a long travel day. Now the best part, the original and handmade margaritas. . They have a whole variety of specialty margaritas and my little Puerto Rican went a flutter when I saw they had a margarita with guayaba puree. They also had one with Higo flower which is sweet and delicious. Both margaritas were AMAZING. I can't wait to go back and try some more of the food and the drinks.

Great tasting and generously plated. We arrived, without a reservation, as their weekend brunch ended and comida period began, for this reason, we scored a table. We showed up a few minutes after opening, luggage in tow, and were seated almost immediately. When we were sat at our spot, we walked through part of the property and some ruins. The entrance boasted some old wooden furniture and what seemed like a formal dining room complete with (empty) cabinets and barrels used for aging tequila. When we walked through, we saw some ponds (complete with koi and turtles), grassy areas, trees, bridges, and other historic and picturesque scenic views. They also made artesinal tequilas onsite that they offered tastes of. My husband and I opted for two options: Shrimp with rice and salad, as well as a meat dish in some sort of stew. They came with warm tortillas and sauces. We also got 2 glasses of their artesanal tequila. The food came out quickly and was full of flavor. The portions were the perfect size--not too big or small, and the tequila was honestly pretty nice. There were a few additives in the products, but it still went down smoothly. It was a nice relaxing spot, but we didn't go on the cave tour to see the ruins. Since we were pressed for time, we opted to leave. It was a nice setting and enviroment, and seemed to be quite a few people coming in to either enjoy the views or eat at this spot. The restaurant has street parking and there were plenty of spots when we were looking in the area. Can't wait to return for a future visit.

Long story short: vibes are great! For a good time come on…read moredown. But don't go here hungry. And LEAVE YOUR KIDS AT HOME!!! Short story long: Parking: super easy, they had a designated spot to the left of the restaurant with many spots. After you park it's just a short walk to the front, you have to go around to the front (street view) to enter. The place: the atmosphere is great! It's open air restaurant. This is a self serve place where if you want something you have to go up and order yourself. But! We have drinks flowing, music blaring the vibes are vibing.. this is set up to have the food and drink stations on the outer sides of the place and all the seating in the middle. They have live bands playing music all day and a dance floor for you to dance. Zero judgment! Drinks: they have just canatritos, which is tequila-freshly squeezed orange juice- squirt-lime-salt with ice in a clay cup. You can order a variety of sizes with a variety of different tequilas to choose from. You order your drink first and then you have to take it to the drink counter to put your order in. You will show receipt and they'll make your drink in front of you in a souvenir clay cup you can take home. MANY take the cups to the parking lot to crack! There is clay all over the parking lot including a giant clay pile of broken cantaritos. Food: Now because of the food my rating is what it is. The food is okay, it's not great but it's not bad, its bar eats, you don't go for the food. My party of 20 went and ordered food and it was the same set up as drinks, you order your food at the self serve kiosk (card ONLY) or you can order food at the counter with cash. After waiting 10min to order food you are given a number on your receipt but DO NOT BE FOOLED, that numbers means NOTHING!!!! You still have to go to the food counter another line and show your receipt to place your order. It took over an hour to get a hamburger and fries. It took over 30min to get tacos and over an hour to get my shrimp dishes and wings. The wings are generous but the tacos are small, they're American size street tacos, so order more. The service attendant who takes your food order is sooo slow, I don't know how else to say it. There is no urgency having essentially a mob of ppl (because there are so many) every food item is made to order. So is it fresh, Yeah! But they're set up on taking orders and delivering food is ridiculous. Nothing I cooked ahead of time. There should be absolutely no reason it should take an hour to get your food. And I went during the weekday and half the restaurant was empty. The taste wasn't there.. even my tacos were lacking flavor. How do y'all mess up tacos in Mexico?!? Just eat before coming here or bring in your snacks because wtf?! Restrooms: There are plenty for the size of the space and the ppl it hosts. There is a designated puke sink for everyone right outside the bathrooms. As well as a vending machine with lots of items that are helpful incase you forget anything. The ppl: There are tons of different ppl here we had families-guy groups-girl groups- bachelorettes-friend groups, everything! And yes many foreigners but ans equal amount of locals. I would say you technically can bring the kids because many ppl did but ugh I really wish they didn't.. there are lots of people here wanting to have a good time and I just heard a lot of crying, whining and children screaming and it just wasn't the vibe. Seating: The set up is all tree trunks. Tables are tree trunks and chairs are tree trunks, it actually not as comfortable but whatever.
