Long story short: vibes are great! For a good time come on down. But don't go here hungry. And LEAVE YOUR KIDS AT HOME!!! Short story long: Parking: super easy, they had a designated spot to the left of the restaurant with many spots. After you park it's just a short walk to the front, you have to go around to the front (street view) to enter. The place: the atmosphere is great! It's open air restaurant. This is a self serve place where if you want something you have to go up and order yourself. But! We have drinks flowing, music blaring the vibes are vibing.. this is set up to have the food and drink stations on the outer sides of the place and all the seating in the middle. They have live bands playing music all day and a dance floor for you to dance. Zero judgment! Drinks: they have just canatritos, which is tequila-freshly squeezed orange juice- squirt-lime-salt with ice in a clay cup. You can order a variety of sizes with a variety of different tequilas to choose from. You order your drink first and then you have to take it to the drink counter to put your order in. You will show receipt and they'll make your drink in front of you in a souvenir clay cup you can take home. MANY take the cups to the parking lot to crack! There is clay all over the parking lot including a giant clay pile of broken cantaritos. Food: Now because of the food my rating is what it is. The food is okay, it's not great but it's not bad, its bar eats, you don't go for the food. My party of 20 went and ordered food and it was the same set up as drinks, you order your food at the self serve kiosk (card ONLY) or you can order food at the counter with cash. After waiting 10min to order food you are given a number on your receipt but DO NOT BE FOOLED, that numbers means NOTHING!!!! You still have to go to the food counter another line and show your receipt to place your order. It took over an hour to get a hamburger and fries. It took over 30min to get tacos and over an hour to get my shrimp dishes and wings. The wings are generous but the tacos are small, they're American size street tacos, so order more. The service attendant who takes your food order is sooo slow, I don't know how else to say it. There is no urgency having essentially a mob of ppl (because there are so many) every food item is made to order. So is it fresh, Yeah! But they're set up on taking orders and delivering food is ridiculous. Nothing I cooked ahead of time. There should be absolutely no reason it should take an hour to get your food. And I went during the weekday and half the restaurant was empty. The taste wasn't there.. even my tacos were lacking flavor. How do y'all mess up tacos in Mexico?!? Just eat before coming here or bring in your snacks because wtf?! Restrooms: There are plenty for the size of the space and the ppl it hosts. There is a designated puke sink for everyone right outside the bathrooms. As well as a vending machine with lots of items that are helpful incase you forget anything. The ppl: There are tons of different ppl here we had families-guy groups-girl groups- bachelorettes-friend groups, everything! And yes many foreigners but ans equal amount of locals. I would say you technically can bring the kids because many ppl did but ugh I really wish they didn't.. there are lots of people here wanting to have a good time and I just heard a lot of crying, whining and children screaming and it just wasn't the vibe. Seating: The set up is all tree trunks. Tables are tree trunks and chairs are tree trunks, it actually not as comfortable but whatever. read more

If you travel to Tequila, must stop by Cantaritos el Guero. Its about a 10-15 min uber ride, but worth the visit! Ty ey have many varieties of tequila to make your cantarito, its a delicious beverage to enjoy daytime drinking. The space is huge, really unique to accommodate large groups or small parties. You can find various type of live bands such as mariachis & banda. We personally stayed with the banda and had a great time singing & dancing. Very cheerful atmosphere to spend with friends. Definitely a must try if you're traveling to Tequila for the day. It's a unique experience like none other in the US. Multiple live bands playing at the same time competing for who can play loudest for tips, combined with the singular cocktail served (Un "cantarito" which consists of tequila, squirt, freshly squeezed grapefruit, and salt all combined in a massive terra cotta jar). Families, friends, and (based on the sporadic fights that break out) even enemies or jealous boyfriends all gather to take in the revelry along with tacos out in the middle of the agave fields. I've been multiple times now and have never felt unsafe. The majority of people are there to simply "have fun" and just enjoy the afternoon/evening that results in the blending different classes, cultures, and sexual-orientations. This place is typical, snacks drinks, ambiance, and music, sometimes DJ, sometimes live band. The service is friendly and helpful when you're not sure what decision to get, except make sure that if you purchase a bottle, they are putting the whole bottle in your drink, good thing we were recording, because the bartender putting everything together was only using half of the bottle, and had to be reminded to use the other half left. Delicious cantaritos! They put a lot of tequila in these but they do not taste too strong so they definitely sneak up on you! The lines are super long to get drinks and the place is pretty packed overall. We could not get a table to sit at, but we honestly didn't mind walking around. They have several live bands playing and people are dancing, drinking, and having a good time. That being said, it is not really a good place to bring kids to. This is a big tourist spot but I feel that it's worth the experience since it is so unique. I would recommend visiting if you are in the Tequila area! read more

They have live music in the afternoons and can see how this place can be tons of fun, but also dangerous because these drinks creep up. A family member had been telling us about this place for a couple of years and since we recently visited the area we had to stop by. I'm so glad we did! I had a medium sized Cantarito which was a liter and it included 4 shots of tequila. It is made right in front of you and the orange and grapefruit juice is freshly squeezed and poured into your cantarito. I could have had a couple of Cantaritos but unfortunately we were in a hurry since we had plans after. The place is very popular they had a huge lot for parking and tons of seating areas. I have to give a disclaimer on this one because it depends on what mood you're in when you come here. If you're here to drink then you'll have a great time if that's your goal. The music is blaring so don't expect to really have a conversation if you come with a date or a group of friends, the music won't let you since they had two bands going full bore which for me was perfect since I was there to have a great time. I loved the live music! Now the set up is a bit funky, when you get there you sit yourself and the tables and chairs are all made up of tree trucks and they are covered by a straw awning, they have 2 of these set ups with a makeshift dance floor between then. They do have some food but it's mainly bar food type of snacks; peanuts, fruit with Tajín (cuz we put that on everything), fried pork skins, trail mix, deli cuts, and shrimp cocktails.
